Methodology for evaluating the soil properties by using magnetic susceptibility , applicable for the assessment of soil degradation due to water erosion
Kapička, Aleš ; Kodešová, R. ; Jakšík, O. ; Klement, A. ; Petrovský, Eduard ; Grison, Hana
This work has been supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic (Project No. QJ1230319, “Soil water regime within a sloping agricultural area”). The goal was to propose methodology for using the soil magnetic parameters for accessing soil properties and their spatial distribution within agricultural areas affected by water erosion. Methodology includes: choice of sampling design for target area (optimized based on other auxiliary data) and soil sampling (topsoil), soil sample processing (drying, grinding, sieving, etc.), method of magnetic susceptibility measurements (using Bartington MS2 and Kappametr SM400) and procedure to calibrate models of predicting soil properties from soil magnetic properties. Prediction of the oxidable organic carbon from the mass specific magnetic susceptibility determined in the laboratory is shown here as an example of practical application of this methodology for soil properties assessment in certain soil types. In addition close correlation between volume magnetic susceptibility measured directly in the field and mass specific magnetic susceptibility obtained in the laboratory documents that the oxidable organic carbon may be estimated directly from the field measurements.
Comparison of the latest methods for calculations water erosion
KOVÁŘOVÁ, Kristýna
The substance of this thesis is to explain erosion matters, mainly water erosion matters. The opening part explains the water erosion, its causes and consequences, and also possible antierosion measures, which can partly scumble the water erosion or at least reduce its consequences. The main goal of this thesis is to compare and contrast available methods of water erosion calculation. What is presented here are the methods of calculation of average annual soil wash-away and consequently the selected models which serve for calculation of immediate soil wash-away. Methods for calculation of average annual soil wash-away include USLE method and RUSLE method. Only the most available possible models of calculation the immediate soil wash-away were selected for the purposesof this thesis. The closing part of the thesis evaluates teoretical findings in the particular project of land consolidation. Convenience to a given drainage area was considered for individual models of immediate soil wash-away. While calculating the average annual soil wash-away the individual patterns of the USLE method were used. This method developed gradually and individual results were compared.
Teoretical documents to determining transport erosion for design rainfall
BERKA, Martin
This thesis is focused on erosion and its succesive elimination as antierosion measures. The area of interest is in the cadastral territory of Čížov u Jihlavy. For the calculation of the erosion threat was used the Wischmeier-Smith equation. The proposal has the influence of several factors. It´s rainfall, vegetation cover, soil characteristics, morphology, and other.
Anti erosion protection solution on the basins' borderline in various landscaping projects
HIRŠOVÁ, Martina
The aim of this master thesis is analysis of the problems of anti erosion precaution on the interface basin. The part of this work is literature contains where are described erosion phenomenons and calculation and anti erosion precaution of soil against water erosion. Erosion is calculated by using the universal equation Wischmeier Smith Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE). Soil loss is solved within the basin catchment, not within administrative boundaries. For this master thesis was chosen cadastral areas Pohorovice, Kloub and Lidmovice. The resulting values are compared with values of a land adjustment project. To reduce erosion loss and protection of agricultural land resources are proposed anti erosion precaution.
Solution of erosion control projects on the model complex land adjustment.
KUČMERČÍK, Radek
This thesis solves problems of erosion protection in land consolidation on three projects of selected model complex land adjustment. The first part deals with the theory of land consolidation, water erosion and potential erosion protection applicable to the design complex of land adjustment. In the second part we discuss practical solutions for erosion control, its calculation and the proposed erosion control plan in relation to the collective model in various projects.
Application of catch crops as a stabilizing element in erosion protection
KREBSOVÁ, Lenka
The aim of this work is to determine the effect of the application of catch crops in crop rotation in the cadastral territory Vrábče in Czech Budweis. Erosion washing away from the land is calculated using the USLE, also compared washing off using conventional crop rotation and intercropping with the application process. Analyze here the influence of intercropping to increase anti-erosion effect of vegetation cover. The resulting values of erosion are transported using erosion of crop rotations with intercropping significantly reduced.
Solution erosion protection on a Complex Land Consolidation model
SVOBODOVÁ, Pavlína
The aim of this work is to explore the area of the Complex Land Consolidation Poněšice in the view of the pedology, hydrogeology and climatology. Further make a erosion threat calculations using the USLE and Curve Number method and afterwards review the application of the erosion control measures in another section of the chapter Main terriorial systems. In conclusion, to estimate the economic aspects of the proposed measures.
Anti erosion protection solution on the basins' borderline in various landscaping projects.
MURČO, Tomáš
The graduation thesis analyzes water erosion issue, especially by calculating average earth annual loss using the Wischmeier Smith universal equation. Primary task was to assess and evaluate erosion phenomenon on the model basins' borderlines and review the hydrological and administrative teritorial units overlay from the perspective of rainfall runoff. Secondary task was to explore the possibility and suitability of increasing the rainfall erosion efficiency factor by doubling.
The influence of a control measure GAEC 2 on the sediment denuding reduction in chosen basins
HUMPÁL, David
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of sediments (undissolved substances) and with the possibilities of reducing sediment denudation in an agricultural landscape, especially my means of GAEC 2. The principal object of the thesis is to assess the effect of GAEC 2 on sediment denudation and to propose complementary erosion control measures in a landscape of interest. The research basin of the Jenínský Brook with permanent graminaceous vegetation on its soil blocks (without GAEC 2 application) and the basin of the Budský Brook in the soil blocks of which the GEAC 2 standard is applied were chosen for this thesis. The data series of concentrations of undissolved substances and flow-rates were processed to obtain the required data. The data series were gathered from themonitoring of collection cross-sections J1, J2 (Jenínský Brook micro - basin) and collection cross-section B1 (Budský Brook micro - basin) in the hydrological years 2011 and 2012. The results obtained were compared and the causes of the resulting values including the GAEC 2 effect were established. Appropriate measures to be taken to reduce sediment denudation were proposed based on the detailed research of the basins in question.
The suggestion of nature close system of erosion-protection and flood-protection in the process of land consolidation.
KUČMERČÍK, Radek
The thesis analyses the problem of water erosion and floods arising from regional rainstorms. The work introduces a system of flood-protection and erosion-protection measures, which can be designed and incorporated into the process of land consolidation. Further, it describes and evaluates the Complex Land Consolidation in Cadastral Area Milenov (Přerov region) concerning flood and erosion protection.
