This thesis deals with actual questions about life insurance on the Czech insurance market. At the beginning of the work, life insurance is described from a theoretical point of view - main characteristic, forms of traditional and new products, kinds of available insurances. It also deals with Czech insurance market, price of insurance and insurance premium in case of insured event. The last part contains actual problems with life insurance - one-shot insurance payment, universal life insurance, equality of rights of men and women, distributional channels and general insurance conditions.

Analysis of the Slovak life insurance market

The topic of this thesis is an analysis of the Slovak life insurance market. In the first part there is explained what life insurance actually is, what is it for and what forms of it exist. There are also defined some basic terms, which are used in the insurance sphere. The second part examines the importance of life insurance in its present situation and its future prospects and compares the products of given insurance companies. It also evaluates the result of an own questionnaire and spies the effect of the economic and financial crisis on the sector of life insurance.

Analysis of life insurance in SR

This bachelor thesis is based on analysis of actual situation on Slovak insurance market of the life insurance. The work is giving for reader further information and analysis of chosen insurance products from capital and investment insurance according with optional supplementary insurance possibilities. Firstly it is drawing attention to general characteristics and reasons for enclosing life insurance agreement. Secondly the work is giving historical overview and in next parts is zooming on and characterizing Slovak insurance market. Practical part is based on the selection of four dominant and major insurance companies in Slovakia and is trying to give general view on actual life insurance products portfolio. These products are secondly analyzed and the work is afterwards giving valorization of advantages and disadvantages according to the criteria of final policy value. At the end I am on the basis of fake client giving recommendation where is the best possibility to enclose life insurance at the present time.

Comparison of unit linked insurance in the Czech republic

Unit linked insurance in the czech insurance market was analyzed in this bachelor thesis. In this analysis were examined the benefits and shortages which are connected with this product and with the general principles of operation and legislation. Following the current trends of investment instruments, was performed detailed research of how the products are offered by financial advisors. There is also comparison of the various options of this product, which insurance companies offers in the Czech republic. Empirical results show that ULI is a promising product which provides not only the provision of insurance protection, but also can evaluate your investment.

Analysis of the collective investment in the Czech republic

The thesis deals with the collective investing. The aim is to assess the current state of collective investment in the Czech Republic. The are selected characteristics of the reference sector which are closely analyzed. The main aspects discussed in this work will be liquidity, cost, and in particular the profitability of selected products. On the basis of available information is created a portfolio of collective investment products selected for age and social groups to ensure income for retirement or accumulation of funds for future investments. Attention is paid to selected financial products company on the Czech market. These products include pension funds, investment life insurance and unit trust.
