In addition I will present a summary of advantages and disadvantages of this solution, compare it to competing platforms, and describe the legal consequences, design, installation and configuration of these products.
Creation of the live Linux distribution aimed at using LaTeX
JAHODA, Pavel
This Bachelor thesis deals with creating my own live distribution. In the theoretical introduction it deals with the questions what Linux and Linux distribution are. The work describes three live Linux distributions (SystemRescueCD, GParted, Knoppix) and their possible usages. In the practical part it deals with the methods of creating of my own live distribution and it describes production live distribution oriented on the work with LaTeX documents. The last part of the thesis shows users reactions regarding the work with created distribution.
Numerical Calculations of MHD Equations in Solar Physics
PARANIAK, Marek
The subject of this bachelor thesis is the description of MHD ?Magnetohydrodynamic? equation and using for solar atmosphere activity modelling. It starts with brief description of history and background of development mathematical method used for numerical simulation. Furthermore mathematical algorithms used for most MHD modeling or simulation software. Next part of this thesis contain description of Athena 3.1 software structure and mainly its configuration under Linux system. Following part contains software structure description. Final part of this bachelor thesis shows some calculation examples and few visualization of software output
Working with printers in Linux
KOUBA, Stanislav
This thesis is dedicated to explain how to work with printers in Linux. It is devided into six chapters. First one shortly describes what types of printers are commonly available. This project describe design of computer classroom for learning computer networking. At first I explain how create computer network. I decide about hardware and network items to use for realization fully functional computer network. Below I describe network setting in Operating Systems. At the end I fixate to solution particular cases which could be resolved by students in this computer classroom.
The monopurpose operating system FreeNAS and its usage
NAVRÁTIL, Václav
This work has examined features of the commonly available NAS operating systems based on kernels of FreeBSD, Linux, and OpenSolaris. Described in the theoretical part of the work is a detailed explanation of today's' current situation, along with basic information regarding these NAS systems that are being tested. The practical part discusses varying methods and the processes of testing NAS systems, when installed on an experimental machine. Testing is divided into three areas. The first one is targeted on testing the ability of those NAS systems to be installed on an experimental computer. The second part is the speed of NAS systems benchmarked. The last part is the actual testing of the influence of the different NAS systems on electric consumption, on the experimental machine.
How to work with graphics in LaTeX
BOUČEK, Pavel
This work deals with the work with graphics in LaTeX and METAFONT . Are given graphic image formats that are appropriate and possible change to be put in the LaTeX . There is a familiarity with METAFONT and its setting up in Linux (Ubuntu 8.04 LTS distribution). Then there is explained and shown examples of ways you can create images (square, rectangle, circle, ellipse, etc.). In appendix of this work is composed of these individual files one resulting image.

Usage of special Operating system "Mikrotik RouterOS" in a small local ISP networks
SLÁVIK, Beno
The objective of my diploma work is to show configuration of devices that are used by Internet providers. During theoretical part you acquaint with possibilities which provide devices with Mikrotik RouterOS operating system. The next chapter deals with characteristics and capabilities of Linux operating system. The applied part of diploma work shows mechanisms for taking control of data flows, especially configuration samples of default gateway, services priority changing and intelligent unwanted packet filtration. The last chapter deals with control mechanisms which are making the complex management of the network much easier. These mechanisms are important for correct and well timed failure action. The whole diploma work is drawn like basic manual for moderately advanced network operator. With help of included instructions it is possible to achieve satisfactory success during real operation of network which is providing Internet.
