Capitis deminutio minima The purpose of my thesis is to analyse the institute called the capitis deminutio minima. In this respect, it is primarily necessary to describe the meaning of the word caput for the understanding of the whole topic. The first chapter deals with the explanation of the above-mentioned term. The caput of a human being has in Roman Law three elements: the status of liberty, of citizenship and of family, and the subdivisions of the first chapter correspond to it. There, the first subchapter focuses on the persons who are free and those who are slaves; the latter were not considered to be legal persons at all. The following subchapter characterises the rights and duties of Roman citizens and the situation of the foreigners. The last subchapter contains basic information about the Roman family and its members, who are divided into two cathegories - the sui iuris and the alieni iuris. At the beginning the text describes the position of the head of the family (the pater familias), and his powers. The following text examines the conditions of those who are subjected to the authority of the pater familias. Law and needs of adoptive parents and problemtic areas in the process of adoption

Bachelor thesis deals with the adoption system issue in Czech Republic. It focuses primarily on the rights and needs of adopters in the adoption process and problematic parts of the adoption system. The thesis is divided into three parts. The theoretical part defines the basic terms and legal regulations of adoption and chronologically describes the process of adoption from the decision making for adoption through the submission of application form, expert assessment of applicants, completion of preparation and psychological testing to the period of waiting for the child and the period after adoption. In the methodological part is defined the conducted qualitative research, in which were interviewed various participants of the adoption process: social workers, NGO workers and adoptive parents. Results of the research are then interpreted in the last, analytical part. There were defined many problematical parts and they permeate all phases of adoption process. As significant problems can be considered lack of clarity in the motivation of applicants while entering into the adoption process, lack of credibility of social workers caused by the negative media image, the trend of increasing age of the applicants, inconsistent methodic and quality level of mandatory preparation, lack of finance and...
Homosexuality and Attitude of Czech Public on Commitment of Children to the Care of Homoparental Families

The first part of my work is focused on the definition of homosexuality and clarifies some concepts and a summary of its history. Registered partnership is explained there, including its advantages and disadvantages. Furthermore it also focuses on the importance of family for the child and review of the types of foster care. And finally, first part summarizes various factors that influences children's psyche. The second part described the results of my survey which is focused on the public image of child custody to gay couples. It consists of several reactions collected from various chat forums and the most representative opinions obtained from questionnaires. The work is accompanied by five case studies and opinions from among homosexuals.
Causes of long staying of children in the institutional care

This diploma deals with the care of vulnerable children in the Czech Republic and in the domeins of foster care and residential care. The main emphasis is in the views of the actors involved and their perception of children, parents, foster parents and applicants for adoption in the space between the biological family, institution and foster care. This thesis attempts to describe the causes of the long stay of children in institutional care, according to some participants. The main methods are interviews with key stakeholders who are selected on the basis of rapid analysis of stakeholders. The research questions are at work identifying the main causes and sub-system problems from the perspective of actors, is devoted to their interest and proposed solutions. Theoretical basis are the stakeholders and their roles, how their behavior, relationships, roles and interests affect the functioning of the system and resolve the problem. Developmental psychology and socialization of individuals are used to explain the problem. The diploma describes the current state of the system of care for vulnerable children in the Czech Republic, family policy and outlined the proposed solutions of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, considerable space is devoted to temporary foster care for the person and social worker.
Problems of substitute family care in the Czech Republic

Theoretical part of this thesis deals with description of substitutional family care and its types. Importance of family care for child's development is emphasized at the beginning of the thesis. Further legislation of the substitutional family care and also terms of its mediation are described. The theoretical part deals with history of the substitutional family care in our country and also in other countries. Then some weaknesses of the substitutional family care and its system are mentioned. Second part of the thesis contains research with several chosen caseworkers who work in branch of the substitutional family care. Detection of respondents' opinions about education and personality predispositions for good practise of profession is the aim of the research.
Adoption of children in the Czech Republic

The subject of the thesis is about child adoption in the Czech republic. The theoretical part of this paper examines the development of constitutional care for the orphaned children and the legal process of adoption. It includes a list of all possible ways to adopt a child and the related conditions. It also explored in detail the arrangement of the adoption process. The thesis also explores possible issues that may arise during the adoption process for both parties involved (adoptive child and adoptive parent). The practical part of the thesis addresses the growth of adoption from the year 2005 till 2015. The conclusion summazises the results of the survey and interviews conducted on this topic.
Options adoption in the Czech Republic and child adaptation to society

Bachelor thesis is focused on the possibility of adoption in the Czech Republic and the child's integration into the new family and society. Theoretical bases closer to mastering the development from a historical perspective, kinds of adoption in the Czech Republic and the conditions for successful adoptions. The author introduces the reader to the actual course of the adoption process, described in various stages of the request for mediation to establish contact with the child. Thesis introduces the reader in foster care together with creation, types and financial aspects. Attention is focused on the amendment that gave priority to family care over institutional. The practical part evaluates the amendment, which occurred in the area of adoption 1. 1. 2014. It also describes the early days of the adopted child in the new family. It acquaints readers with the problems that foster parents frequently addressed in the child's adaptation to society. Target of this thesis is to evaluate the amendments that have occurred in the area of adoption 1. 1. 2014. Based on the responses to assess whether the amendments were a step in mastering good or bad. Any proposing other changes that would streamline the process of adoption. Analyze the process of integrating the child into society. Specify on what grounds can a child develop a sense of deprivation and negative behaviors that cause complex adaptation to the collective.
Gay life in contemporary Czech society

This thesis deals with problems of gay individuals in Czech society. The first part is devoted to theoretical knowledge and basic concepts associated with homosexuality. The theoretical part introduces the legislative definition of gay rights not only in the Czech Republic but also in other places in the world. The next chapter deals with legislation of registred partnership that does not allow homosexual couples to adopt children. The current law allow adoption or forster care only to homosexual individuals. The last section of theoretical part is devoted to the field of theoretical research that dealt with the issues of homosexuality and homophobia. The practical part contains research of homosexuals in the Czech Republic. Qualitative research realised by the interviews with the homosexual respondents deals with conditions of homosexuxual in the Czech Republic. The semi-structured interviews show the essential moments and daily worries in the life of homosexual individuals. The basic topics discussed during the interview includes coming out, registered partneship, adoption and respondents' experience with homophobia. Analysis of Applicants for Substitute Family Care in the South Moravian Region from 2002 to 2009

The subject of this bachelor thesis is an analysis of applicants for foster care who participated in the preparation of mediated by civic associations Trialog in the years 2002 – 2009. The theoretical part contains the theory of foster care, time series and regression analysis. The practical part will focus on the analysis of indicators relating to applicants for foster care, find forecasts of further development of these indicators. Further evaluate the impact of the development indicators of the number of applicants on the financial situation of the civic association. The practical part will summarize and explain the conclusion and suggestions based on findings from the practical part.
