OLIVOVÁ, Leona
This thesis deals with today's trends in aging, health and physical activity. It deals with aging, its manifestation and impact ond human organism, especially considering senior population. The aim of this work is to stress out the importance of activity and of changing of habits of seniors. This work also wants to compare the activities of seniors in their home and in institutional housing in Eastern-Bohemian region. The data was aquired by quatitative research methods, by questioning. Data was collected using questionairy, by controlled interview; it was made for people over 70 years old, living in home and in retirement homes. Basic set was made from seniors (men and women) living in Eastern-Bohemian region. The sets were 100 randomly picked seniors from retirement homes and 100 randomly picked seniors living in home environment. The hypothesis, that was successfully confirmed is stated thus: Seniors are more active in their home environment. Senior living in their home were more active in sports (biking, hiking, walks, swimming) as well as in things concerning house-keeping (heating, cooking, doing the washing). They were more in touch with their family members and did activities with them. Altogether, these seniors were happier. Care for domestic animals also helps with their psyche. Seniors living in retirement homes showed great interest in RHB excercises and free-time activities conducted by the facility. As for the activity itself, retirement home seniors showed a lot less activity. This fact is due to their lifestyle in the retirement home and due to their health. By this work, I would like to address the distinction between these two groups of senior people, not only regarding activity.

KYSEL, Jiří
Floorball as a modern sport branch has been recently under intensive development in the Czech Republic. The rules are simple and the equipment is not expensive. This sport is easy to train and it is attractive for many scored goals. It becomes very popular among boys and girls. KOCAROVÁ, Lucie
This master thesis focuses on comparison of methodical, economical and legislative aspects of the issue of assistance dogs in the Czech Republic and Austria. The work consists of a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on assistance dogs, their classification and use. Further, breeds suitable to be used as assistance dogs are presented as well as the methods of their training. Organizations specializing in this kind of training in the Czech Republic and in Austria are listed. The practical part presents the individual organizations, including their detailed description and semi-structured interviews with their members. Based on these interviews organized into data tables, the individual questions are presented and discussed separately to facilitate orientation in the topic. Further, owing to the material provided by the responding subjects, this part brings complex views of the individual organizations. The results of the research have revealed that the legislative aspects of the issue of assistance dogs do not substantially differ in the two countries but Austria has an extra asset in the mentality of its people. The financial aspects of this issue are more promising in Austria than in the Czech Republic. Further, the research has shown that the methods of training are similar in Austria and the Czech Republic and that in both countries the training is based on positive methods.
Development of volunteering in Týn nad Vltavou
KOCOVÁ, Jaroslava
A volunteer is a person who provides his/her time, his/her energy, knowledge and skills for the benefit of other people or the society in general, with no claim for remuneration. Complexity of preparation of volunteers depends on the activities they prepare for. Training of volunteers is a part of professional approach to volunteering. Supervision, without which high quality volunteering would be impracticable, is also necessary. My Bachelor Work provides the basic insight into volunteering in the Czech Republic in the theoretical part. The following chapters deal with methodology of work with volunteers. A health care centre in Týn nad Vltavou, where the research was performed, is also introduced here. The Bachelor Work was aimed at mapping the situation in volunteering in Týn nad Vltavou. Quantitative research was applied to data collection, the methods of controlled dialogue, questioning, questionnaire technique and uncotrolled dialogue were used. The respondent group consisted of the managers of health care and social facilities in Týn nad Vltavou and volunteering co-ordinators in facilities using volunteers. An uncotrollled dialogue was conducted with a Municipal Authority officer. The results of the Thesis have shown that volunteers are used in the social sphere in Týn nad Vltavou, which confirmed my first hypothesis. The results achieved also refer to the fact that the facilities do not provide basic volunteering service to the volunteers from the volunteering management point of view. The second hypothesis was thus overcome. I would like to contribute to publicity of volunteering not just in Týn nad Vltavou but in general by this Work. I hope that the Thesis will stimulate the use of volunteering also in the facilities where volunteers are not being used yet. The Work is going to be offered to the Municipality of Týn nad Vltavou, which has schown interest in that within its community planning.
Professional drivers and first aid
KŘÍŽOVÁ, Radmila
The thesis called ``Professional drivers and first aid`` is concerned with professional drivers´ knowledge of providing first aid and their further education in this field. Based on the statistics a car accident occurs every three minutes and a man dies in car accidents every eight minutes. To save men´s lives the first minutes are the most important. Professional drivers are regularly trained in traffic regulations but health care preparation is not usually included or it is only a side issue. A quantitative research was accomplished and the objectives and hypotheses were stated. The data were collected through an anonymous questionnaire containing 29 questions. The questionnaires were distributed to professional drivers in the districts of Jihlava and Znojmo. The research set consisted of 112 respondents with the prevalance of lorry drivers. The research proved that the drivers know emergency call numbers. They know how to provide first aid but they are not informed of new methods, especially in resuscitation. Most drivers admit that a regular training of first aid should be included in professional trainings and the education in this field is unsufficient. The research indicated that professional drivers need more training of first aid as well as other people.
