Analysis of Formant Areas During Sung Vowels

The study analyzes the formant zones of male voices in singing vowels with main focus on opera, chest and head vocal registers. The results of this work are based on the recordings of five singers, taken in an anechoic chamber. For the analysis of these recordings in the frequency domain were used the FFT algorithm and the LPC analysis. The results describe the nature of the individual registers and show the importance of the singing formants for singers. Especially for opera vocal register where the vocal formants, along with a natural vibrato technique, are very important.
Suggestions for an Introduction Songs in the Kindergarten

My bachelor thesis is dedicated to rehearsal of songs in kindergarten. The thesis is divided into two parts - a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part describes the role of singing in human life. This part is focused on musical skills and more specifically on singing activities which are suitable for kids in kindergartens. Finally, it includes a list of music publications which can be used for preschool children. The practical part presents the results of observation while rehearsing songs. I focused on the effectiveness of the chosen type of learning, on children´s interest and their reactions on a particular learning method. All of these methods have been described in details and the children´s reactions have also been noted down. In the annexes you can find music scores of ten songs which I tried to teach in kindergarten.
Women's choir Regina Vodňany

My bachelor thesis is focused on a female choir Regina from Vodňany. The emphasis is laid primarily on the origin and history of this choir, its achievements, activities and goals. The full text is divided into several chapters in order to credibly describe given goals. I dedicate a special chapter to the figure of Mrs.Romana Rédlová, the founder of this choir and also its current choirmaster. The procedure of common choir lesson, teaching of part singing and the vocal warm up method are described in following chapters. Concerts listings, performances and contests in which Regina participated are available in the supplement. The choir repertoire and photographs can be also found there.
Folk song in kindergarden.
MAŠTÁLKOVÁ, Michaela
In the theoretical part of my thesis I deal with some musical activities in kindergarten and the child´s relationship to music. Then I followed up the singing in detail. I describe folk songs, artificial songs and especially character of songs from Chodsko region because of place where my survey took place. In the introduction of practical part I mention Chodsko. This region is well known for their respecting to folk traditions, singing songs, dancing and dressing up costumes. Through questionnaires I know if the children meet with song from Chodsko in kindergarten because they could form their relationship to this beautiful area in result. I mention what songs the teachers choose to sing and what their reasons are. The aim of my thesis is to find out the answer to the question. Is still the folk song of Chodsko region attractive or not? You can see it in video recording which is in the next practical part.
Singing and music society Vítězslav Novák in Rakovník

The thesis deals with Singing and music society Vítězslav Novák in Rakovnik. Main aim of my text is to provide a high quality monograph discussing almost one hundred years long tradition of said society, as well as its other two very important branches, The Rakovnik Opera and The Rakovnik Philharmonic Orchestra. For a duty of the thesis I have carefully studied Singing and music society collection placed in The National Regional Archive in Rakovník. Furthermore, I read a literature arguing legislative rules of societies. Also, I examined sources linked to cultural and historical issues of the city. The thesis is divided in following parts. Firstly, I wrote about history and activities of the society over the time of its existence in the city. Next chapters in precise refer to particular activities of the society including an introduction of its most important characters. Last but not least, I discuss the Rakovnik Opera, which is nowadays in the city even more remembered and significant than the society itself. The single chapter is dedicated to The Rakovnik Philharmonic Orchestra, too. It had been subsequently involved to The Rakovnik Opera, though.
Children's choirs on the Jindřichův Hradec region

Theme of thesis is "Children's choirs in area of Jindřichohradecko"and it is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part presents history of choirs, types of choirs and choirmaster. The next part is dealing with voice, characteristic of age groups of choir members and also choir as a social group. At the end of theoretical part there is a chapter about Jindřichohradecko and its important personalities who lived there. Practical part is focused on description of children's choirs in Jindřichohradecko.
Russian Folk Dance and Music Ensembles

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is to outline and to discuss folklore and chosen Russian folk ensembles of songs and dances. The aim of the thesis is to introduce the topic to readers and to compare folk ensembles what is the difference among the particular ensembles and what is characteristic for them. The first part deals with folklore in general and is divided into several chapters which are related to this topic. The second part of the thesis deals with a development of Russian theatre until 1800 and from 1800 to 1850. The third part is practical and is focused on chosen dance ensembles and responses to submitted questionnaire. The final section is reserved for The Alexandrov Ensemble choir that is the best known, the biggest and the most popular folk ensemble in the whole Russian federation.
The inability to sing among preschool age children - its causes and possible improvement.

This thesis focuses on the problem of the inability to sing among children of preschool age. The theoretical part describes work with nonsingers in older professional literature. It also offers a comparison of the organization of vocal education at the kindergarden level in the Czech Republic and in Russia, thereby discovering the causes of the inability to sing among preschool children and describing the specifics of children's voices, including principles of vocal hygiene. This part also introduces three vocal training methodologies by leading Russian teachers of conducting. The practical part deals with the selection of optimal exercises and the development of complex exercises that will help nonsingers develop their singing skills and contribute to the development of good singing habits. The aim is to enable a kindergarden teacher who is not a professional musician to successfully use the assembled methodology.
The role of singing activities in the development of musical ear and musical skills

Problems of the chorister at the primary school

The diploma thesis is focused on dealing with young learners in children choirs, it targets on problems that can appear within the work with choirs and how to solve these problems. The first chapter offers historical overview for reader's idea of what did the chorister look like from Middle Ages to present. I deal with the causes why children don't sing in the second part nowadays. The third chapter is aimed at chorister of České Budějovice. The inteviews with choirmasters of the most famous children choir of this city are added to this part. The fourth, wide chapter is dedicated to the work in choir and is divided into couple of parts, which bears on the contents of the thesis. I allude to necessities the child has to pass if wants to devote to chorister, and I addict on problems connected with chorister. I analyse the factors which from my point of view affects basic and other activities of choirs in the final part.
