Comparison of methods for developing communicative competence through 'activities with the use of horses'

This thesis compares four methods of therapeutic riding to determine what communicative competence are developed in the framework of activities with the use of horses. The work includes terminology section, which are explained in terms accompanying the whole job and explains the term of use for therapeutic riding. The theoretical part introduces the social communications horses and interpersonal communication. The next section presents the specifics of interspecies communication, and its use in the development of communicative competence and follows the chapter on the development of communicative competence through activities with the use of horses. The main part describes the four methods of therapeutic riding and analytically compares the contents of individual activities with horses focused on the development of communicative competence. In conclusion summarizes the results and encourages the formation of methodology developing communicative competence in educational programs with horses.
Hippotherapy as a supporting therapy in patients with stroke

This bachelor thesis deals with hippotherapy as supportive therapy of patients with stroke. Our starting platform is from the practical experience of therapists hippotherapy's centers Pirouette and available literature. The work is traditionally divided into theoretical and practical. The theoretical part provides an overview of current knowledge and is divided into two chapters, which dealing with the issue of stroke and hippotherapy. There are explained basic concepts necessary for insight into the problems of work. As part of subchapter about of stroke describing its dividing, the causes, consequences, and treatment. In hippotherapy I deal with the principles of hippotherapy effect and its impact to humans, both physically and mentally. In the research part describes the objectives of the work and the research itself. For the purposes of work I chose the design of qualitative research - a case study, which was carried out on three probands after a stroke. The probands were selected from the "Centre of hippotherapy Pirouette" Havlíčkův Brod, where it was from the end of September 2014 to mind January 2015 performed a practical application of hippotherapy under the expert guidance of a certified therapist. Data collection was conducted three complex processing of case studies using the technique of observation (kinesiology analysis of motor skills), secondary data analysis and interview with probands. The aim of this thesis is to map the effect of hippotherapy for patients with stroke and the develop specific hippotherapy's procedures in these patients. The purpose why the work was created, is an effort to improve awareness about hippotherapy as supporting methods for patients after stroke and objectification many years of practical experience hippotherapy's center "Pirouette". The outputs of this work can also be further utilized as educational material for students of physiotherapy and hipoterapeuty alone or as a basis for further research in this area.

My diploma thesis "Evaluation of using horses in Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapies in the Czech Republic" analysis the situation of using horses as a mean of medical treatment for humans in the Czech Republic. The first part is focused on history of therapeutic horse riding, founding of therapeutic associations and organizations and hipotherapy characterised in details. In the second part I deal with specification of breeds of horse and their types which are eligible for Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapies and key-factors of choosing a horse for hippotherapy. The final part contains methodology, results of the research and its evaluation.

The aim of this work is to compile ways how to use horses in the area of agro-tourism. I describe the appearance of a horse, its character and its use is in agro-tourism. In this work I explain main terms like agro-tourism, tourism and hypotherapy. I focused on the centre, where they deal with agro-tourism. I have personally visited this ranch. It also looks at preparing horses for hypotherapy. Further I describe centres of hypotherapy in my neighbourhood, which I have visited. In conclusion I compared centres of hypotherapy, which I have personally visited and I mentioned the importance of the Czech hypotherapy company.

My bachelor thesis on the topic Hiporehabilitation is treated as a literary review. The aim was to describe the appropriate types of hippotherapy and different breeds of horses used in hippotherapy. Hippotherapy is a targeted therapy, where the focus is always the client and his problem and a horse as a means. The work deals with the history of the development of therapeutic riding and hippotherapy. Defines and describes the concept of hippotherapy and describes in detail the individual components, the participants and the different effects of therapeutic riding. Much of work is focused on the selection, properties, pros and cons individual breeds horses most often used in hippotherapy.
The use of horses in zootherapy in winter and summer season

The bachelor thesis deals with the preparation and use of horses during hypotherapy in winter and summer season. Hypotherapy is form of animal assisted therapy, which is used for people with mental, physical or other disease or as prevention in healthy indiciduals. In the practical part are monitored rest and work activities from horse Bohnice psychiatric hospital and the private stable Rozárka where hypotherapy is regularly performed. The subjekt was an observing mode of horses in the season, means in the month of May and the regime out of season in January.
Possibilities of zootherapy as prevention against risky behaviour

Bachelor thesis surveys of the zootherapy effect as prevention of risky behavior. It evaluates the methods of zootherapy in form of participant observation and semi-structured to unstructured interviews and its potential use for different types of clients. The theoretical part deals with zootherapy as a discipline built on human-animal interaction. The thesis explains the term attentionis Egense, the Latin term describes the need for attention to basic emotional level as a prerequisite for successful social interaction. It is about differentiation of the problem behavior from normal need of attention. The aim of this thesis is to collect the opinions on zootherapy of canistherapists, clients, family members of disabled clients and own breeders. The views of canistherapist and client complement each other and contribute to the evaluation of the benefits of zootherapy.
