Dance as a means of integration adults with intellectual disability
KRAUMANNOVÁ, Eva
The goal of the bachelor thesis called Dance as a means of integration adults with intellectual disability was to create, implement and evaluate a dance course focused on the development of social competences in adults with intellectual disability. The thesis deals with adults with intellectual disability and with a leisure activity focused on dancing. There is some space for the development of social competences in adults´ leisure time. In response to the current situation of leisure activities proposition for adults with intellectual disability. I found it beneficial to found a dance group of adults with intellectual disability, and at the same time a group of individuals intact in places unfamiliar to them. Based on an activity which may be implemented amusingly it is possible to develop an individual´s personality as well as his or her social competences, which become a presumption of a successful integration, universally. The bachelor thesis consists of four chapters. The first chapter defines the term ´intellectual disability´. Further on the attention is paid to the characteristics of the target group, i.e. adults suffering from a slight and medium mental retardation. Further on, the disability´s impact onto the human psyche as well as social area is described. In the second chapter the term ´dance´is defined and then the description of its usefulness within the leisure, artistic and therapeutic areas is given. In the third chapter the presumptions for a successful integration are described. In the conclusion of the theoretical part there is an interconnection made between the target group and the activity for developing social competences. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is continued with a practical part, the fourth chapter. It is a programme of a six-month course which I have set together based on the analysis of expert literature and my experience gained during the leadership of dance lessons and working with adults with intellectual disability. The programme will include work methods and an evaluation of partial activities. The six-month course was held in the school year of 2015/2016 and 6 intellectually disabled adults took part in it. Students of the University of South Bohemia joined the course. Partial goals were set for individual dance lessons and the activities were set so that they would develop social competences in participants non-violently and in the greatest extent possible. The course was implemented in the IN Civic Association facilities. To evaluate the activity and find out the progress within the area of the participants´ social competences, several development fields have been set. Several chosen social competences were divided into evaluation scales. The participants were evaluated at the beginning of the course and then again, six months later. The evaluation method chosen was my own observation. I focused on the evaluation of my own working, on group evaluation and the evaluation of each individual. Evaluation was also done on the part of each course participant, too. Dance lessons and activities connected have proven to be a suitable means for developing social competences in intellectually disabled adults. In five participants the values have risen in 5 10 out of 17 competences observed. A recourse occured in a participant who was going through a difficult life situation during the last two months of the course. Values have risen dramatically and in all participants in the area of group cooperation. Five participants made a progress in establishing and keeping eye contact and in starting a conversation. One participant has made a progress in the area of group performance, another one has made a progress in the area of independence and another one started to call the other participants by their names, as opposed to the beginning of the course. In general, the members of the group became more self-confident.

Importance and specifities of education of adult people with mild mental disorder
VÁVROVÁ, Daniela
In the first chapter, the term ?adult? is defined. In the context of education, this term means a human who has ended their school education. In the same conception is comprehended person with mental disorder. Education in adults is important because of the speed of developing society, which is too demanding on people. People without further education are worse oriented in the world and often fall to feelings of inferiority and uselessness. The same situation is present in people with mental disorders. People with mental disorders are limited by deficiencies in intellectual abilities. Intellectual abilities are one of the diagnoses of mental disorders. To make education of adults successful, it is necessary to observe some principles and use methods which are suitable for the target group. Because of deficiencies in intellectual ability, many methods which are used by health practitioners aren´t suitable for people with mental disorders. Unsuitable methods are lectures and seminars, because of the verbal difficulty people with mental disorders often experience. People with mental disorders have problems understanding explanations and often encounter issues concerning attention span. The process of education includes more mental operations in which a person with mental disorder can have problems. For reproducing memory perceptions, it is necessary to have a good memory, but people with mental disorders often have problems with their memory. They quickly forget learned knowledge and because of this, it is necessary for their whole life to involve repetition. Another important element of education is motivation, which increases success of education. People with mental disorders can have problems with willpower, when a stimulus isn?t attractive enough, they quickly lose interest. People with mental disorders can have problems in social relationships. Health professionals think that people with mental disorders are antisocial and don´t create any social relationships, but this is not true. People with mental disorders have the same needs as a person without a mental disorder. People with mental disorders desire understanding and respect from the majority of the population. These people want to be fully-fledged members of society. Unfortunately people with mental disorders are limited by their deficiencies. These people let themselves be influences; they can be reliant on other people?s decisions. Despite these problems, there are many people with mental disorders who have families and who aren?t addicted to other people. A complex system of education for adults with mental disorders hasn?t yet been created and is still an object of discussions. There are several possibilities of how to educate these people as adults. The choice of method depends on possibilities and dispositions of the person and how they choose to improve their education. One positive fact is that people with mental disorders are interested in education as adults. This interest should be one of the reasons why complex systems of education are created. The system of education adults with mild mental disorder is suggested in the last chapter. The system is designed with 4 forms of education and a person with a mental disorder can chose which form is most suitable for them. The first form is courses to attainment qualification which refill and restore primary education. The second form is courses which support qualification. These courses increase chances of people with mental disorder to get work place. People with mental disorders can have problems with orientation in the surrounding world and that is reason why civil education exists, it provides necessary information. The last form is hobby education which offers people with mental disorders effective ways to spend their free time. ?

The respondents from the following age groups, young people from 18 to 26 years, middle aged people from 30 to 45 years and people from 45 to 60 years, were asked according to the previously set criteria. The part dedicated to research describes the personal experiences of individual unemployed respondents. The latter are divided into three groups which are summarized in the end of this research and later analysed in the chapter dedicated to the discussion. The results based on this research proved the existence of the majority of psychological and social impacts stated in the theoretic part. They confirmed the fact that the older generation struggles with the problem of unemployment more than younger generations. The basic difference in how to understand unemployment was proved on a different perception of the aforementioned impacts. This problem becomes more serious depending on the age, as well as the difference of psychological needs which get worse with regard to the older generation.
