Lifestyle of the students of ZSF JCU
PEŠEK, Zdeněk
This thesis summarizes basic information about lifestyle and deals with this issue. It draws attention to current scientific findings and recommendations in this area. The theoretical part is focused on areas of lifestyle. It looks at factors which influence human health and their division according to their seriousness. In particular, it focuses on five major elements which are: nutrition, exercise, smoking, alcohol and drug use. I chose these factors because they are most influenced by human decision-making and thereby most dependent on human will. First of all I deal with nutrition, especially with balanced diet and consequent impact on health. I also focused on physical activity and its positive effect on people. The next part of the thesis deals with smoking and analyses its negative impact on human health. Alcohol consumption is included as a fourth attribute which has a positive influence on people in small doses but negative influence in excessive doses. As the last factor which has a negative influence on people I included drug abuse. Results of the research aimed at the issues mentioned above are presented in the empirical part. The research part of the thesis was carried out using the questionnaire method and undertakes identification of the research sample, alcohol, exercise, diet, diseases and sleep. The research results show that students of General nursing smoke more than students of other study programs. Alcohol consumption is at the same level in students of all study programs. Students of study program Paramedic have most physical activity according to the research. My thesis therefore points out how students of Faculty of Health and Social Studies at University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice care for their own health and how interested or non interested they are in their lifestyle.

Health Supporting Kindergarten Network in South Bohemia
HOLINKOVÁ, Petra
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of kindergartens supporting children´s health in South Bohemia. A kindergarten supporting health is a type of school that has prepared its school education programme in accordance with the Curriculum Supporting Children´s Health in Kindergartens and, thus, it has become a member of the health supporting kindergarten network. The first part of the thesis is aimed at this issue from the theoretical point of view. The basic terms such as health, health support and planned projects aimed health support are outlined in the first part. Development of, embodying and characteristics of the project Health Supporting Kindergarten is described in more detail. Qualitative research was selected to set up the second part of the thesis. I decided for the secondary analysis of data as the first method of data collection. Curricula supporting children´s health gained in the individual kindergartens supporting children´s health were the documents analysed. A structured interview with open questions was the other method used. Selected representatives of kindergartens were the respondents. The main objective of my thesis was to evaluate the programme School Supporting Health in Kindergartens in South Bohemia. The individual objectives determined along with the main objective were aimed at the analysis of and meeting the programme School Supporting Health in Individual Kindergartens in South Bohemia and, subsequently, these programmes were compared. Based on the research results I came to the conclusion that all kindergartens supporting children´s health meet the requirements of the model project-Curriculum Supporting Children´s Health in Kindergartens-and they are operated in accordance with its principle, too. The research also suggests that the programmes of the individual kindergartens do not significantly differ from each other. In my opinion, more attention should by paid on widening the health supporting kindergartens network in future, which means to support the project more and motivate other kindergartens to join the network. This thesis can be used e.g. by eventual members as a source of summary information on the project.

Health and social activities of elementary schools in the region České Budějovice
PLCHOVÁ, Eliška
Today, school is viewed as a social institution whose traditional function is that of providing education to pupils of appropriate age groups. The concept and functions of school are subject to changes of social needs. Accordingly, health education is now gradually making its way into the curriculum: it is a subject that permeates many a school subject and various school activities. At the same time, the school has become a place where pupils socialize and it is also a place that supports their personalities and social development, preparing them for their personal, work and civic life. These two aspects ? health and social ? are not substitutable and complement each other. The objective of the present bachelor thesis is to describe the activities performed within the social sphere by primary schools in the region of České Budějovice. On the basis of a selected sample of school prevention methodologists, its aim is to ascertain the means, possibilities, goals and visions for the future these methodologists have, and what prevention programmes they support. Furthermore, the objective of the thesis is to discover who they cooperate with and if any changes are needed to remedy situations that prevent them from the realization of their plans. The theoretical part examines health and social activities that can be implemented by primary schools. Moreover, this part focuses on school prevention tools and how these problems can be communicated and integrated in classes. The last chapter delves into the arrangement of counselling at schools, and specifies the function and activity of the school prevention methodologist. Within the framework of the present bachelor thesis, research was conducted which was realized by means of a semi-guided interview with school prevention methodologists in 7 selected schools. These schools included the primary schools of Trhové Sviny, Borovany, Nové Hrady, Nedabyle. The following schools were selected in České Budějovice: Primary school of Vl. Rada - Madé, Matice školské and Kubatova. The findings of the said research have been processed into two categories, i.e. health and social school activities. These categories have been further divided into four equal sub-groups. The first sub-group gives the summary and description of activities of the aforesaid schools, the second sub-group examines the method of realization of health activities in schools, while the third section focuses on the cooperation between organizations and schools, and the last section explores plans and visions for the future. Within the present bachelor thesis, three research inquiries were postulated. ? Do primary schools prefer health acitvities to social activities? ? When implementing preventive programmes, do primary schools prefer cooperating with organizations to performing activities on their own? ? Do primary schools create and support activities for both pupils and their parents? The results of the present bachelor thesis may be utilized for further research in the given sphere. I believe that my bachelor thesis will become an information source for primary schools in the health and social sphere. I hope that the resulting data will be utilized by experts working with pupils in primary schools for the realization of other activities pertaining to the given problems.
