Toleration to selected groups of population
Buchtík, Martin
In March 2012 Public Opinion Research Centre focused on social distance among the major population and different social groups. Social distance was measured by a specific question: people should pick from a list of 15 different groups those, which they would not like to have as neighbours. The biggest distance was noticed towards drug addicts (86 % of Czechs would not want them to be their neighbours), people addicted to alcohol (78%), people with criminal past (74%), and also people with mental disease (63%). Another question was focused on opinion about the society that means whether people think the Czech society is tolerant or intolerant to the same groups of people.

Czech Public's Attitudes to Foreigners – March 2014
Čadová, Naděžda ; Marešová, J.
In March 2014 CVVM investigated Czech public's views with regard to foreigners who live in the long term or permanently in the Czech Republic. Majority (63 %) claimed that  foreigners living in the Czech Republic should become conformed to Czech cultural habits as much as possible, another of informants (32 %) said that foreigners should adapt to czech cultural habits just in some aspects. And 4% said that foreigners should be allowed to live according to their habits.

Assessment of legal updates on civil protection/defense in relation to trends in the area of civil protection/defense and comprehensive security of the population
ONDRÁK, Petr
The objective of this study is to evaluate the trends in individual periods of selected legal and sub-legal regulations on civil protection/defense in the Czech Republic from 1935 to the present. In addition to presenting an overview and description of individual legal provisions, the study also outlines the characteristics of the period in which the legal provisions were created, approved, and subsequently enacted. Three European countries were selected and briefly described for the purposes of the overview and comparison ? specifically, Italy, Switzerland, and Austria. In all of them, much emphasis has been put on the population?s protection, so that these democratic states have considerable and valuable experience in protecting their citizens in their respective geographic and historical setup. Using a multicriteria analysis, a comparison of legal provisions on civil protection/defense in the territory of the Czech Republic was made from 1935 to the present. Since it was not feasible to compare all the legal and sub-legal regulations in the given area, the study concentrated on the main legislation during that period. The period under study, i.e., 1935 to the present, was divided into segments where significant amendments were adopted in the area of civil defense in the territory of the Czech Republic. Subsequently, these main provisions on civil defense were detailed so as to make the primary objectives of the individual provisions obvious. The chapter containing compilation of the results describes selected key legislation in the periods from 1935 to 1961, then from 1961 to 2000, and finally from 2000 to the present, including a comprehensive table with a brief description of selected regulations. In conclusion, it was necessary to state that endangerment of the population, both with respect to civil and military threats, still exists. Therefore, it is essential to continue to amend and supplement the current legal provisions on a current basis, even though the legislation is very good, quality-wise, to be able to respond flexibly and effectively in the event that the population of the Czech Republic is exposed to any of the potential threats.

Regression and correlation analysis of time development of the traffic accidents number at transportation of dangerous substances in a selected region.
VÁVRA, Martin
The aim of this thesis was to conduct a statistical survey and the measurement of statistical dependences of time development of the traffic accident rate at transportation of dangerous solid, liquid and gaseous substances, including their total number and also in case of leakage of these substances in a selected region "the Czech Republic". The purpose of the thesis was to verify statistical data, or more precisely, verification of two basic hypotheses H1 and H2, and five sub-hypotheses H11, H12, H13, H14, H15. For these verifications methods of descriptive and mathematical statistics were used, especially regression and correlation analysis in hypothesis H1. To verify hypothesis H2, nonparametric normality test as a technique of mathematical statistics was applied. Verification of hypotheses H1 and their sub-hypotheses H11, H12, H13, H14, H15 enabled to prove linear regression associated with negative correlation within the development of traffic accidents at transportation of dangerous substances in annual units of time (2002 to 2011). Verification of hypothesis H2 enabled to demonstrate normality in distribution of the number of accidents at transportation of dangerous substances within individual months of the monitored period from 2007 to 2011. As benefits of this thesis both the proposal of the sequence of statistical methods for examining the research topic and the application of the mentioned statistical methods to the number of traffic accidents at transportation of dangerous substances can be considered Based on the results of this study, possible follow-up research work may be suggested. A research is proposed which would survey the ways of prevention or other factors leading to negative correlation dependence. Another possibility of follow-up research work could be, for example, statistical surveys and the measurement of statistical dependences in regions of the CR or investigation of the theoretical distribution of the number of traffic accidents at transportation of dangerous substances within a different time unit.

TheMotivationofWomen to Enter theArmyofthe Czech Republic
ĎURECHOVÁ, Jitka
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to explore and reveal the main motivational factors which influence women most when joining the army and their attitudes towards the military profession. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is about employees' motivation as an important part of the personnel management in each organization with a description of each motivational tool of personnel policy in the defence resort. Also, there are specifics of the soldier job and requirements wich must be fulfilled by the future female soldiers mentioned. The applied part includes a research. The motivation of women in the military institution in Southern Bohemia for the choice of their military careers are explored with the help of semistructured interviews. The data recieved give a picture of what women expect from the service in the army and which of the aspects of this profession are important and motivational for them.

Erosion danger of soil blocks with selected crops and recommendation of suitable cultivation against erosion
JIRSOVÁ, Monika
This thesis deals with different types of soil degradation under the conditions in the Czech Republic. The first part is focused on the evaluation of the causes and course of degradation of soils in the present time. Among the most serious degradation factors may be included the following: pedocompaction, dehumification, land appropriation, bad infiltration, water and wind erosion. In the Czech Republic, only water erosion alone threatens 42% of all agricultural land. In the thesis organisational, technical and agrotechnical anti-erosion control measures are summarised. Their utilisation, efficiency and sophistication are also described. In the next part of the thesis there are six specific land blocks in the same farm in South Bohemia presented. Each of these blocks has a different acreage, the average slope, the crops cultivated and different representation of strongly threatened and moderately erosion-threatened vulnerable areas. The thesis evaluates the number of plants per 1 sq. m, the condition and density of the growth due to the erosive threat to all of these localities.

Criminality and Delinquency in the Region of Uherské Hradiště
BARTOŠOVÁ, Lucie
This diploma thesis is focused on analysis of children and adolescent crime rate in the Czech Republic; it partly describes criminality as a whole, its current situation and development. This thesis is aimed at survey of crime rate at primary schools in the region of Uherské Hradiště. It describes number of small thievery in the year 2006 in the region of Uherské Hradiště. This research was carried out by means of a questionnaire at the particular primary schools. There are described factors influencing criminality rate such as family, school, society, or media Literature, police statistics and school statistics show us basic information concerning criminality not only in the Czech Republic but in the region of Uherské Hradiště as well. It was found out that in the Czech Republic child criminality rate has diminishing tendency, but in the region of Uherské Hradiště this situation is not observable (it has nothing to do with number of thefts). By means of the questionnaire it was found out that thefts do not appear frequently at primary schools. Only sometimes schools deal with small offences in the form of not expensive things. These small offences do not occur nowadays more often than in the past and also it is not possible to say whether they are more frequent at town schools or schools in villages. Thefts concerning expensive products are minimal at primary schools. However, thefts committed by teenagers and adolescents have an increasing rate, in accordance with police in Uherské Hradiště. This thesis is aimed at a better orientation in the child, teenager, and adolescent criminality development in the Czech Republic and in the region of Uherské Hradiště in order to avoid small thefts or other offences among children.
