Simulation of the oscillator with soft impacts

Numerical simulations are powerful tool for the investigation of nonlinear dynamical systems. Especially mechanical systems with impacts, which belong into systems with discontinuities, have complex response on periodic excitation and theoretically can be solved only the simplest periodic regimes. Dynamics of impact oscillators was successfully investigated in sixties using analogue simulation [1]. Numerical simulations developed extensively during last ten years and they are replacing on more comfortable level analogue simulations.

Information systems benefit quantification

This study shows basic and advanced methods of information systems benefit quantification and applies selected methods to a real life problem. The practical part has been used to justify an information systems investment of already implemented and future systems. This work also appeals to a need of theoretical background and practical creativity when quantifying social properties of information systems. It is unacceptable to tolerate laical stance against social concepts of information systems and their quantification.

Possible Views of Informatics

Cílem práce je popsat informatiku, jakožto vědu, zabývající se informacemi a systémy (ačkoli její běžně vnímané pojetí směřuje spíše k využívání informačních technologií). Souhrnné poznatky jsou vytvořeny na základě studia dostupné literatury a získaných znalostí ze studia na Vysoké škole ekonomické v Praze. Za přínos této práce lze považovat komplexní nastínění dané oblasti, týkající se informatiky (ať již z pohledu na business, odvětví, informační systémy, či pojetí další) a taktéž srovnání, co je pod pojmem informatika míněno na světových univerzitách.

Analýza australského daňového systému

První část práce seznamuje čtenáře se současným stavem ekonomiky a veřejných financí v Austrálii. Další části práce se věnují složení daňového mixu a stručnému komentáři jednotlivých daní a reformě na počátku tisíciletí. Daná reforma, domácími politiky označovaná za přelomovou, měla značný vliv na podobu dnešního složení daňové soustavy Austrálie.
