Ethical Behaviour Aspects of Clients of the Prevent After Care Centre in Connection with the Build-up of their New Identity
KOREŠ, Jiří
The theoretical part of this diploma thesis deals with the changes of behaviour and attitude of clients who underwent drug addiction therapy. I have focused on the ethical aspects of these changes and their development within the build-up of the clients' new identity. I will analyse the environment and facilities in which the changes take place, approaches to therapy as well as addiction models, these being the decisive factors of change. I will also focus on the concept of identity build-up as presented in M. Brožová's analysis as a process of changes, which take place after therapy in communities and therapeutic facilities. In the conclusion, I will analyse the conception of ethics and the components of ethics as a basis to define signs of ethical behaviour in the topics of respondents. The practical part is a probe into the process of behaviour and attitude development of Prevent After Care clients. In the introduction, I will present the applied research methods, selection of fields, the research sample and operational procedures. Further, individual dialogues with respondents are included, including interpretation of the dialogues in relation to human practice and an interpretation of behaviour changes. In the dialogues, I will focus on the perception of changes by the clients themselves, their idea of freedom and their values.
On Changes In The Ways of Burial In The Czech Republic In The Last Decades
KADLECOVÁ, Hana
The work deals with changes in the ways of burial in the Czech Republic in the last decades. It has two parts - practical and theoretical. The theoretical part summarizes the evolution in the sphere of burial since the First Republic to the present days (this part contains interviews with witnesses). It leads to the conclusion, any changes have happened, mainly in the attitudes towards burial rituals. Two basic ways of burial (into the ground, cremation) have changed only a little. The new matter are burials without ceremony. The practical part contains questionnaire research. Respondents (priests, deacons and employees of the undertaker's and crematories) made answers about changes in attitudes towards death and burial in the last years. At the end of the work the results of the theoretical part are confronted with the results of the questionnaire research. Both parts of the work (the theoretical as well as the practical) confirm the main changes in a sphere of burial are in attitudes of people. Respondents crittically refer to state of contemporary morale, a decline of respect to the deceased and taboo of the death.
Life with pulmonary hypertension observed in the IKEM, Prague
KLOPOTOVÁ, Michaela
This undergraduate work deals with the issue of pulmonary hypertension monitored in clients at the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKEM) in Prague. The theoretical portion deals with the comprehensive issue of pulmonary hypertension {--} its aetiology, pathogenesis, pathophysiology, epidemiology, classification, clinical picture, examination methods, therapy and prognosis. It also covers its health and social aspect, which is further divided into its health and social impact. The health and social aspect is divided into health and illness, health support, prevention and quality of life. The health impact focuses on nutrition, physical activity, natural medications, colds and depression. The social aspect explores the social effects on health, illness and social benefits for clients with pulmonary hypertension. The practical portion of this work presents the results from a quantitative questionnaire carried out with clients monitored at IKEM Prague between 1 July 2008 and 28 February 2009. The purpose of the questionnaire was to establish whether patients with pulmonary hypertension often suffer from depression, whether the illness affects their health and social status and whether clients have sufficient information about pulmonary hypertension. The results show that the objectives were fulfilled. It has been proved that clients with pulmonary hypertension suffer from depression, their health and social status is also affected by the illness and most of them have sufficient information about pulmonary hypertension. This work can serve as a well-arranged source of information for different cardiology departments that deal with pulmonary hypertension. I am sure that the clients themselves would like to see the results of this work, let alone the Association of Pulmonary Hypertension Patients. This association follows not only specialized literature, but also the quality of life of and benefits for people with pulmonary hypertension.
Influence of family background on origin and development of childrens behaviour disorders.
ZAVADILOVÁ, Dita
Behaviour disorders are beside adequate behaviour in the certain age and in the certain social-cultural surrounding. An individual with behaviour disorders counteracts particular behaviour standards (moral or legal rules). Causes can be innate (hereditary), which are less serious, or as a result of upbringing (impact of people of the same age, family, gangs), when a young man in such a way emulates his or her surrounding. Behaviour disturbances can be generally characterized as a deviation in the area of socialization, when an individual is not able to respect the common standards of behaviour on the level corresponding his age.
The Child with obezity - The education of parents
MRZENOVÁ, Jindra
A child with obesity - education of parents In recent years children obesity is taking the character of worldwide epidemics. This tendency is among others caused by the change of eating habits and composition of diet rich in fats and sugars. The occurrence of obesity is further caused by gene base of a child and lifestyle in which the physical activity of children is decreasing and children spend their free time especially in front of televisions and computers. Obesity itself worsens health state and the life quality of a child, who consequently suffers from health and psychical problems. These children are often exposed to laughter and bully by their contemporaries. This condition leads to their effacing themselves to seclusion, feelings of anxiety; the children become solitaires and compensate everything by higher intake of food. Obesity in children is a very hardly curable diagnosis. In quite a lot of them combating obesity is not successful and obesity outlasts in adulthood. Health complications as disorders of joints, diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure or various heart problems are also linked to this disorder. A nurse plays an important role in care of children with obesity. Together with a doctor she works on detecting children with obesity and his or her preventive actions can lead to decreasing of risks and complications connected with children obesity. A nurse educates children and parents about the problem of obesity, possible consequences and complications connected with this diagnosis, and provides advice and emotional support at changes of lifestyle of obese children and their families. The thesis was processed using quantitative research by the method of questioning and the technique of a questionnaire. Researched group was composed of children with obesity or overweight children and their parents. Questionnaires were distributed in outpatient clinics of general practitioners for children and teenagers and also children hospitalized in teaching hospital in Pilsen. We chose two aims of the thesis. First we wanted to find out the parents´ informedness of the problem of obesity and second to find out lifestyle in the family with an obese child. We can conclude that parents are informed of the problem and complications of obesity; however they do not follow healthy lifestyle. Further we chose three hypotheses. Parents are informed of the problem of obesity. This hypothesis was proved. Parents are not informed of complications in connection with obesity in their children. This hypothesis was disproved. Children with obesity do not follow healthy lifestyle principles. This hypothesis was also proved. The results of this thesis research can serve as a study material and are offered to parents who participated in the research.
