Validation study of the Golden Profiler of Personality: comparison with the personality inventory NEO-PI-R
Jarošová, Zuzana ; Niederlová, Markéta (advisor) ; Bahbouh, Radvan (referee)
This thesis addresses the personality questionnaire Golden Profiler of Personality (GPOP). Its main objective is to verify a construct validity of GPOP. In the theoretical part, the required psychometric characteristics of psychodiagnostic tools are discussed. It also deals with the theoretical background of the GPOP - Jung's theory of psychological types and the Five Factor Model. The questionnaire GPOP is also compared with other psychodiagnostic tools with similar theoretical background and possibilities of its applications are discussed. The empirical part examines relationship between the scores of Golden Profiler of Personality and NEO inventory NEO-PI-R to determine the construct validity of GPOP. The research was conducted on the sample of university students. Results confirm the expected relationship and can be considered as the evidence of construct validity. The comparison with the norm sample showed that the sample of this research differs from the norm sample. Although the generalizability of results to the population is limited, this thesis offers the first validation study of Czech version of GPOP. Keywords: GPOP, psychodiagnostics, Jung typology, validity, NEO-PI-R
Correction of Invalid Trees with Respect to Regular Tree Grammars
Svoboda, Martin ; Holubová, Irena (advisor) ; Bača, Radim (referee) ; Pardede, Eric (referee)
XML documents and related technologies represent one of the most widespread ways how data on the Web are maintained and interchanged. Unfortunately, many of the real-world documents contain various types of consistency issues that prevent their successful automated processing. In this thesis we focus on the problem of the structural invalidity and its correction. In particular, having one potentially invalid XML document modeled as a tree, and a schema in DTD or XML Schema languages modeled as a regular tree grammar, our goal is to find all the minimal corrections of this tree. The model we proposed builds on top of the recursively nested structures of correction multigraphs, where the shortest paths are being found. For this purpose we formally introduce three correction strategies with different pruning optimizations applied. According to the experiments we performed, the refinement correction strategy not only significantly outperforms all the other existing approaches, but also guarantees important characteristics the others cannot. Reliability and validity of finger flexor strength measurement in sport climbers
Mrskoč, Jonáš ; Baláš, Jiří (advisor) ; Strejcová, Barbora (referee)
The aim of the study was to evaluate reliability and validity finger flexor, in four climbing grip positions. The research group compose from 33 climbers. 11 climbers were woman (Age 24.2 ± 6.3 year, weight 56.6 ± 5.6 kg, height 164.4 ± 6.3 cm) and 22 climbers were man (Age 23.3 ± 5.8 year, weight 70.8 ± 8.1kg, hight 177 ± 5.9 cm). Climbers were chosen to cover the wide range of climbing ability RP. Climbing ability was range from 4 to 12 degree of climbing ability in UIAA scale. Climbers were tested using electronics scale and training wood-edge in four climbing grip positions (Open grip (OG), crimp grip (CG), index + middle finger (IM) and middle + ring finger (MR). The grip strength was measure, that climbers stand on the electronic scale during holding the wood edge by one hand in selected grip possition. Climber was instructed to pull his legs to the body during 3-5 sec and transfer the maximum weight on to the test arm. The smallest value shown at the scale during the each measurement was taken. From this values we counted strenght in different grip possitions. Test was measure in each position three times for calculating intra-session reliabillity. Test-retest reliability (inter-session reliability) was measure by repeated testing 12 climbers after 1 week rest Results shown high degree of...

Reliability and validity of communication sociomapping: focused on peer-to-peer ratings in small work groups
Höschlová, Eva ; Bahbouh, Radvan (advisor) ; Šípek, Jiří (referee) ; Lukavský, Jiří (referee)
Dissertation thesis: Reliability and validity of communication sociomapping: focused on peer-to-peer ratings in small work groups Author: Mgr. Eva Rozehnalová Supervisor: MUDr. Mgr. Radvan Bahbouh, Ph.D. Abstract: The theoretical part of the thesis shortly introduces the topic of group communication and identifies relevant influencing factors. The subsequent summary of the research studying the impact of communication on work group performance illustrates not only the importance of the group communication topic itself, but also the development of diagnostic methods in this field. Such methods are further summarised by focusing on their specific characteristics, differences and available validity and reliability data. The last chapter of the theoretical part briefly describes the sociomapping method measuring group communication with the up-to-date reliability and validity research. The empiric part of the thesis combines several studies performed to verify the quality of the sociomapping method in the field of group communication. The criterion validity of sociomapping visualization was studied as an accuracy of numeric data translation into distance matrices, the reliability was measured as an inter-rater agreement of interpreting sociomaps. The studies showed the sociomapping being highly relevant in...
Assessment centers and their prediktive validity
Kulišová, Alice ; Kirovová, Iva (advisor) ; Uhlář, Pavel (referee)
This thesis is devoted to the method of assessment centres and their predictive validity. The theoretical part is focused on the history and development of assessment centres, their design, course, participants, description of the most commonly used techniques, possible uses, advantages and disadvantages of this method. A separate chapter deals with their validity and methods of measuring validity in assessment centres. In addition, this section analyses related topics - adaptation of employees and employee turnover. The empirical part focuses on describing and measuring the degree of predictive validity of an assessment centre, which have been used between years 2010 and 2012 by an unnamed insurance company for employee selection for a position Insurance Consultant. In this part of the thesis, the conducted research is characterized. The results showed that the predictive validity of assessment centres used in the organization was 0.20 - but this result was not found to be statistically significant. At the end there is the discussion about possible factors that might have influenced the research and consideration of the possibilities of increasing this assessment centre's validity.

Reliability of evaluation in selected technical subjects
Konvičková, Hana ; Tvrzová, Ivana (advisor) ; Kasíková, Hana (referee)
v anglickém jazyce Annotation In the theoretical part of my bachelor thesis I deal with the definitions of school evaluation, conception of the current evaluation, types of evaluation, characteristics of evaluation, specifications of the secondary technical school evaluation, as well as the assessment in specialised subjects and reliability of the assessment as the condition of the objective evaluation. The empirical part deals with the level of reliability in the assessment of a set task in the subject - Commercial - Law Correspondence. The written and oral communication and written and electronic communication. The teachers of this subject, at three secondary technical schools in Prague 1, 4 and 9, were asked to give students a specific task and assess it according set criteria. One of the assessors was the teacher of the subject and I was the second one. The reliability was defined as the identity rate of the independent assessment of the same school tasks carried out by two assessors. In the summary I reflect the contribution and drawbacks of the research and the task assessment done by the other teachers and my own assessment. I try to suggest the steps for following the basic rules of criteria in business letters.
Processing of Incorrect XML Data
Svoboda, Martin
XML documents and related technologies represent widely accepted standard for managing and exchanging semi-structured data. However, surprisingly high number of XML documents is affected by well-formedness errors, structural invalidity or data inconsistencies. The aim of this thesis is the analysis of existing approaches resulting to the proposal of a new correction framework. The introduced model involves repairs of elements and attributes with respect to single type tree grammars. Via the inspection of the state space of an automaton recognising regular expressions, we are always able to find all minimal repairs. These repairs are compactly represented by recursively nested multigraphs, which can be translated to particular sequences of edit operations altering data trees. We have proposed four particular algorithms and provided the prototype implementation supplemented with experimental results. The most efficient algorithm heuristically follows only perspective repair directions and avoids repeated computations using the caching mechanism.
