Effect of food on fertility in assassin bug \kur{Platymeris biguttatus}
ZVONEK, Dalibor
This thesis was developed in order to determine whether the selected species most commonly kept feeding insects affect fertility in captive bred assassin bugs \kur{Platymeris biguttatus}. Used feeding insects were \kur{Blaptica dubia} roaches, \kur{Acheta domestica} crickets and larvae of \kur{Tenebrio molitor} bugs. The reason of using assassin bugs \kur{Platymeris biguttatus} was their popularity among breeders, their easy care needs and their superior fertility. Assassin bugs were kept in an air conditioned room with a constant temperature conditions and light regime. It has been shown that the given diet has no effect on fertility in this kind of bugs, also that breeding in groups has negative impact on fertility of this assassin bugs species. The results of this study could demonstrate the importance of proper feeding in keeping these bugs and help breeders to have better results.
Analysis of the commercial properties of an ostrich
KULÍK, Pavel
This thesis deals with the problem of commercial properties of an African ostrich collected on farms in the Czech Republic. Literature review focuses on the history, origin, economic benefits and also the breeding conditions. This work evaluates the utility of selected properties of ostrich farms in the Czech Republic. The values obtained were well described and evaluated by appropriate methods. Weight of meat obtained from slaughter ostrich ranged from 30 to 50 kg (mean 39.74 kg), the skin area was in the range from 1.10 to 1.50 m2 (mean 1,34 m2) and the production of feathers was from 1.36 to 1.50 kg.
Environmental aspects of eggs production from point of view of greenhouse gasses emissions
KALKUŠ, Václav
The aim of the study is to compare poultry farming focused on either conventional or organic egg production. Detailed information has been gathered in particular organizations by the means of questionnaires and provided technical literature. We have concentrated on the monitoring of the emission impact on the environment, caused especially by feed material consumption, electricity consumption and farm dung management. Based on the gathered data the emission burden was calculated by the means of Ecoinvent database using CO2 equivalent. We have compared the individual systems of management and evaluated greenhouse gasses production. The main target of the thesis was to find out whether the production of organic eggs has smaller impact on the environment than the conventional one.
Cost management in selected farm company
LÍSKOVCOVÁ, Eva
The thesis is focus on means of tracking and cost management in selected farm company. The first part is devote to theoretical and methodological basis of costs and calculate the costs that are obtained from the literature and then applied to the farm company. Further thesis is focus on selected performances (rape, eggs), the development costs of these performances in each year and the application of their calculations that the farm company use and application of the calculation method, which in agriculture is not so common. Here I use microeconomic knowledge in decision making firms not only on the optimal output.
