This bachelor?s thesis deals with application of forms of comprehensive rehabilitation in care for elderly. The main task of this study is to determine the level of awareness of application of forms of comprehensive rehabilitation in care for elderly, namely of employees of the Home for the elderly Kaplice, which is located in the South Bohemian Region. The first section of the theoretical part is dedicated to characteristics of comprehensive rehabilitation, primarily to characteristics of forms of comprehensive rehabilitation. The therapeutic part of comprehensive rehabilitation includes diagnostic and therapeutic measures, which improve the functionality of the organism. Another essential section of the comprehensive rehabilitation is the social rehabilitation. The aim of this form is the process of integration of the individual. Subsequently, this form provides to people with disabilities legal protection, as well as financial support. Another section is the educational rehabilitation. The effectiveness of this form of comprehensive rehabilitation is seen primarily in childhood and adolescence. The last section is occupational rehabilitation. The goal of the occupational rehabilitation is to encourage people with disabilities, and to improve their employability in the labor market The second section of the theoretical part describes in detail the issue of aging and old age in relation to the changes occurring in these stages of life. With aging, there is a destructive mental processes. Old age is also accompanied by a series of changes that take place in the social situation of a person. Above all it is retirement which brings a number of changes that considerably influence the economic situation of a person. The last section of the theoretical part discusses the institutional care for the elderly, namely homes for the elderly. The practical part of this study describes the views of respondents on the application of forms of comprehensive rehabilitation care for elderly. To acquire the information, the qualitative research method was used, more precisely the method of questioning. In addition, technique of semistructured interview was used. The interview was done with five respondents who are employees of the Home for the elderly Kaplice. The obtained data were subsequently analyzed using the cluster method. Data were divided into groups according to similarity of the statements related to the particular sections of the interview. There was established the main research question: What is the awareness of the application of forms of comprehensive rehabilitation in care for elderly? In addition, there were defined four sub-research questions of the research. The research showed that the care of seniors is chiefly realized through medical and social rehabilitation, which meets their needs. It is primarily the health care and motivational activities what significantly affects the quality of life of seniors. Educational and social form is not represented much in the care, mainly because of lack of interest from the clients, caused by their poor health. Respondents perceived the comprehensive rehabilitation as comprehensive care that helps individuals to improve their health. However, they recommended the medical environment. They did not mention the possibilities of occupational or educational rehabilitation. This bachelor?s thesis may serve as an information resource for the management of the Home for elderly Kaplice. The gained knowledge may also serve as a source for an expert workshop for employees of Home for elderly Kaplice.

Zootherapy for Pupils with Special Education Needs in District Tábor
KRATOCHVÍLOVÁ HAVLOVÁ, Jitka
Zootherapy, as a relatively new method, is categorized within a comprehensive rehabilitation and in special schools. Here is used not only as suitable relaxation and diversification of lessons, but also in targeted work with children ? development of physical, mental, emotional and social skills. The animal is not the only mediator, but a welcome friend, to which many children with disabilities have closer relationship than to other people. Dogs are loyal friends, without any conditions, they are willing to snuggle and play, offering a plentiful amount of initiative, the child is not bored with them and he /she learns new skills naturally. Horse riding gives to children a sense of uniqueness, joy, freedom, it increases their self-image and it develops child´s motor activity. And even small animals (hamsters, quinea pigs, turtles, budgies etc.) are able to awaken happiness, interest and through love to an animal it is only a step to love other people.
Lifestyle of persons with disability of motor funtions - personal statements.
STRNADOVÁ, Monika
Any disability can bring disadvantages in many aspects of human lives. This often affects physical, mental and social areas of life. It depends on many circumstances and factors to what extent and at what intensity disability influences the way of life. The research part of my diploma thesis confirms this fact. Not only the type of disability and its prognosis, the personality and his/her ability to handle difficult situations in life, but also the quality of social relationships and the strength of the social safety net are important factors. Irreplaceable role in caring for people with a disability has comprehensive rehabilitation, which helps not only to improve the health condition, to restore job skills and self-sufficiency, but mainly supports a successful return to the home environment as well as to the regular everyday life. The aim of my thesis was to learn about individual life stories of people struggling with a disability of physical functions, whether due to an illness, injury or another disability, resulting in movement disorders, and to find out how the disability affects their lives. I tried to analyze specific aspects of life and social consequences of disability (coping with disabilities, value orientation, interpersonal relationships, future plans, self-realization). The base of my work is the holistic, i.e. bio-psycho-socio-spiritual approach, I respect the individuality of each individual, his/her attitude to life with a handicap (disability).
Change in men´s lifestyle after acute myocardial infartion
BENOVÁ, Jana
The Czech Republic is numer one in the mortality and morbidity due to cardio-vascular diseases. It is evidence that the incidence of cardio-vascular dieseases can be influenced positively by primary prevention as to the lifestyle of the population and that the secondary prevention can improve the lifequality of patiens, diminish thein mortality and morbidity and reduce the numer of recurrences and complications. The degree work on the subjekt {\clqq}Change in the lifestyle of men after an acute myocardial infarct`` is in its general part concentrated on risk factors connected with cardio-vascular diseases, on a self-contained system of rehabilitation, on prevention (primary, secondary, tertiary) and on the welfare system in the Czech Republic. The risk factors connected with cardio-vascular diseases can be dividend into influenceable ones (nutrition, smoking, lack of physical exercise, alkohol consumption, hypertension, dyslipoproteineme, diabetes mellitus, obesity), into uncontrollable ones, (age, sex, genetic factors) and into behavioural ones, among which count psychosocial and economic factors. The mail aim of the work was to establish the extent as to the occurrence of risk factors in relation to men, who underwent an acute myocardial infarct and to determine the posibility of involving them in an active change in the lifestyle. The research proceeded in the form of questionnaires distributed at cardiological out-patients` departments in the region of Příbram. The data collection was under way from November 2009 to February 2010. The research was quantitative, the questionnaire was anonymous, in printed form, contained 29 questions and the respondents answered in writing. One thousand questionnaire were distributed, where of 231 fully completed questionnaires came back. The return rate of questionnaires were destined only for men, who underwent an acute myocardial infarct (two fundamentals identifications marks). I arrived to two hypotheses. The first was that the education of population played an important role in occurrence of cardio-vascular diseases and in awareness of influence of the lifestyle on reducing the risks connected with the development of these diseases. The second hypothesis was that the secondary prevention of risk factors connected with cardio-vascular diseases was not effetively and regorously applied to men, who underwent myocardial infarct. Both hypothese of mine proved to be right. The doctors and the learned public are doubtless well informed of the prevention and therapy as to the cardio-vascular diseases. The question is how effectively the professional information and recommendations find their way into the subconsciousness of our population. The research results show that an imaginary gap arises between recommended advices relating to the change in the lifestyle and in the positive influencing of influenceable and behaviour risk factors, the doctors give in thein routine practice. It is neccessary to create programmes of intervention in the lifestyle within the scope of a self-contained rehabilitation system. This system is applied on the occasion of spa care in the Czech Republic. The effect of the spa care is shortterm, lasts half a year to one year and there is no direkt further contact of the patient with dietary centres and with specialized physiotherapists. The recommendations concerning the change in the lifestyle should be popularized in the society as a whole in order to find their way into the wide subconsciousness of our population.

Social aspects following amputation of limbs of children and adults
HANZLÍKOVÁ, Soňa
The aim of my extended essay is to evaluate some social aspects after amputations of extremities with children and adults. The work is divided into several parts. In the first theoretical part, the attention is paid to a history of amputations and some indications for an extremity amputation. At the same time, the summary of amputation lines of upper and lower extremities is set up here as well. In this part, there is a list of some indications leading to an amputation of an extremity, too. Besides, here is some theoretical imformation on the comprehensive rehabilitation, especially on therapeutic, social and working one. Some data obtained by evaluating my own research are presented in the practical part of this extended essay. The research was carried out with a quantitative questionnaire method. After the evaluation, all three determined hypotheses were confirmed. Hypothesis No. 1: I suppose the children and adolescents do not feel being seen at a disadvantage after the amputation of an extremity, which is brought by this treatment. Hypothesis No. 2: Women come to terms with the amputation of an extremity psychically worse than men do. Hypothesis No. 3: I suppose the amputation of an upper extremity is a greater handicap than a loss of a lower one, in consideration of one's asserting at the labour market. The practical evaluation contains all the comparisons of the research results with some specialized literature, too. The main contribution of my extended essay is the summarization of the certain points at issue and the facilitation of an easier orientation in a social situation after the amputation of an extremity.
