GeoGebra in geography teaching at lower-secondary school.
PÁTEK, Jaroslav
This diploma thesis is due to its theme within the reach of two scientific branches mathematics and geography. Particularly, it deals with possibilities of unusual application of dynamic geometry during lessons of geography in elementary schools. From the theoretical point of view, the thesis is grounded in the crucial document for czech schooling Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education. The theoretical part of the thesis is followed by practical part, whose content is influenced by analysis of Geography as an educational area, which can be found in this very document. The particular contents of the practical part consist applets describing selected geographic phenomenons and problems.
Differential equations with GeoGebra
OPAVOVÁ, Michaela
The main aim of this bachelor thesis called Differential equations with GeoGebra is to create a transparent collection of solved examples. Examples are numerically solved first, followed by their graphic interpretation by using mathematical program GeoGebra. Illustrations show us interesting solutions of examples. Another objective is to introduce students the program GeoGebra as a tool through which you can elegantly solve the example. The work is divided into three chapters, which deal with the basic type of differential equations, the method of separation of variables and linear differential equations with constant coefficients and zero right side. They are shown of the basic theory and then resolved examples. In These chapters are selected types of examples which meets student in Mathematical Analysis III. Therefore, this collection is useful as a study material for students of mathematical disciplines.
The use of dynamic software in teaching mathematics at the primary and secondary school
BUMBÁLEK, Roman
This thesis deals with the use of dynamic mathematical software in the teaching of mathematics in primary and secondary schools. The aim is to illustrate and explain clearly selected topics with dynamic graphs and structures created in GeoGebra. The work also contains instructions how to create graphs and construction. For each topic are worked examples which serve to better understand and practice the issue.
Introduction into GeoGebra
NOVOTNÝ, Ondřej
The aim of this thesis on the subject of 'Introduction to GeoGebra' was to create several solved examples and instructional videos. At the beginning of the dissertation, particular environments of the program are introduced. They are followed by solved examples which cover most of the topics necessary for basic work with GeoGebra. Instructional videos deal with subjects that have not been given sufficient space to practical examples.
Planar mechanisms
HOFFMAN, Jan
This work thesis is dealing with planar mechanisms. It?s concentrated on definition the topic, enumeration methods of mathematical description of mechanisms and occasion of simulation with usage information technology. It?s going mainly on GeoGebra program, in which were created most of schemes and models mechanisms. Created models are recorded on attached CD. Important charter of this theses are mechanisms used to draving planar curves, ending with mechanisms used to drawing straight line.
Complex numbers, quaternions and their applications
BRDLÍK, Pavel
The bachelor thesis is dedicated to the topic of complex numbers and quaternions and their application. The main goal of this thesis is to familiarize with the subject of complex numbers and quaternions and their important properties and to present these terms with suitably selected examples. Complex numbers can be used among others to represent a planar rotational movement, quaternions can be used to represent rotations in three-dimensional space. The aim of this thesis is to provide a well arranged summary of the theory and a sample solution of practical examples that would illustratively demonstrate the application of complex numbers and quaternions by description of planar or spatial movements or their further applications.
Processing of Selected Topics in Mathematics for Children with Limited Mobility Hands - The Second Class of Elementary School
ŠTEFKOVÁ, Kateřina
My thesis is focused mainly on my own electronic work sheets for children with limited hand mobility - the second class of elementary school. The introduction deals with methodology of chosen topics which I have used in my work sheets. I compare teaching methods which I have used with alternative ones. The main part of my thesis aims at SMART Board 10 software for interactive whiteboard which I have used for creating my work sheets, secondly on its use, thirdly on its tools from the tool kit and at last but not at least on description of my work sheets. I also describe the teaching of a physically disabled girl with limited hand mobility that I have taught. The conclusion consists of summarizing my experience with teaching based on my work sheets and assessing my teaching lessons.
Straight-line surfaces and their displaying in a rectangular axonometric
KOLÁŘ, Pavel
This thesis deals with the straight-line surfaces, their division, and properties. Because these surfaces are spatial formations, in their view it is necessary to select the appropriate type of screening. For this purpose is selected rectangular axonometric, which also deals with the work. In conclusion, the findings of these two parts are connected together and selected straight-line surfaces are shown using rectangular axonometric. Because today is more comfort use for the purposes of mathematics, especially geometry, different software, is for creating images in this thesis used programs GeoGebra and AutoCAD.
Gothic-style geometry mediated by a computer
WALDHAUSER, Vít
This thesis deals with the mathematical knowledge of the geometry, which were used in the Gothic period. This is mainly the knowledge that was reflected in the architecture. It is also concerned with the geometrical modeling of the Gothic architectural elements using computer systems of dynamic geometry and potential use of these figures in the mathematics, because the visible connection between theory and practice is very good motivation. The thesis briefly introduces characteristic features of the Gothic style and also describes the historical background that enabled the rise of this new style. This work shows closer also how Gothic building was technically built up. Part of this work is dynamic geometric computer models, which were made with using the gathered information. The interactivity of these models helps students to get better insight into the principles of Gothic architecture elements and also into geometric relationships used in these elements.
Use computers by teaching mathematics at elementary school
MÁCHA, Pavel
This work thesis is dealing with interactive geometry software GeoGebra. Several use cases for educational purposes in elementary schools are proposed and described in detail. This work is mainly focused on construction of triangles, trigonometric functions, systems of equations and tasks related to motion and presentation of cube. Each example is followed by an application created in GeoGebra. With these GeoGebra applications you can easily change parameters with sliders and therefore further work is possible. This thesis provides step-by-step guide how to create each example which is helpful for both teachers and their pupils. Attached CD contains all discussed examples which can be directly used by teachers in elementary schools to support a classwork during math lectures. In the final part of this thesis advantages and drawbacks of dynamic geometry are proposed and short comparison of GeoGebra and Cabri programs is suggested.
