Use of protective equipment and precautionary measures in the leisure activities of children, youth and adults
ŠERÁ, Vendula
The subject of my Bachelor is about the use of protective elements in special activities like inline skating, cycling, skiing and snowboarding. Theoretically part engages in analysis of applicable literature and informs about this theme. This work describes protective elements, which can be used and important security. At the practically part I have tried to elucidate answers to questions: Which security elements are used the most? What kind of the reasons are for using or not using? And eventually, what is the difference in use of protective elements between children, youth and adults?

Predatory insects and mites - information database and e-learning system
LENCOVÁ, Jana
Aim of thesis was to create an electronic version of an information database and the e-learning system, focusing on predatory insects and mites. The e-learning system provides information about the main types of predatory insects and mites used in biological plant protection, including the types of naturally occurring entomofauna and acarifauna agroecosystems in the Czech Republic. The system contains information about the taxonomy, morphology, development cycles, prey, methods of control, etc. Thesis is a combination of text, tables, photographs and line drawings from professional publications. The various components of the system are interconnected through hyperlinks. The system includes information on the ecotoxicology, dictionary terms and the ability to search based on various criteria. In the photo gallery you can find together 310 images, which are intended to create a picture of the morphology, development cycles and behavior of individual organisms.

Inspesting the sensitivity and resolution of the CT-part of the Infinia-Hawkeye
FILÁSKOVÁ, Lucie
The medical discipline of nuclear medicine is characterised by the constant development and perfection of the appliances used and thus, also higher diagnostic yield. The most frequently used equipment currently includes hybrid appliances enabling image fusion, e.g. SPECT/CT. The result is a recording combining anatomical and functional information allowing for more accurate localisation of the lesion and better spatial orientation. Equipment in nuclear medicine is subject to inspection under the regulation of the State Office for Nuclear Safety No 307/2002 Coll. On radiation protection and as amended under Regulation No 499/2005 Coll. When inspecting the characteristics of an appliance, procedures specified by the manufacturer are met, and each workplace performing nuclear medicine must follow a sophisticated system of quality control stipulating the individual tests and duration of the cycle when they shall be performed. My work consisted of performing quality tests on the CT-part of the Infinia-Hawkeye system. The testing was performed once every three weeks over a period of seven months at the Department of Nuclear Medicine in České Budějovice hospital. The results of individual readings were recorded in overview charts and compared with the parameters provided by the manufacturer. The performance of the comparison confirmed the defined goals, all the recorded values agreed with the limits set by the manufacturer. These values were never exceeded during the entire testing period. No short-term changes of parameters were recorded. The bachelor?s thesis can be used as an overview of quality tests of the CT-part of the Infinia-Hawkeye system and can also serve as instructions for performing these inspections at all workplaces that are equipped with the Infinia-Hawkeye hybrid system.

Effect of eutrophication on carbon sequestration and mineralization in wetland soils.
HOSPODKOVÁ, Jitka
Increased nutrient input into wet-meadow ecosystems can affect activity of decomposers and carbon cycle in soil. This thesis observed the effect of fertilization on carbon sequestration and mineralization in soils of wet meadows, which differed in quantity and quality of soil organic matter. Studied locations are situated in the protected area Třeboňsko.

Evaluation of knowledge about primary prevention of sexually transmitted diseases among students from selected four-year grammar schools in České Budějovice.
JOZOVÁ, Lucie
The title of my bachelor degree thesis is: Evaluation of knowledge about primary prevention of sexually transmitted diseases among students from selected four-year grammar schools in České Budějovice. As indicated by the title, my objective was to find out what information the students have about the issue of sexually transmitted diseases and how they protect themselves against such infections. In the theoretical part of my thesis I dealt with the current occurence of veneral diseases, their classification, legislative measures and detailed descriptions of the individual diseases. The research part of my thesis is based on an anonymous questionnaire. I have used 178 questionnaires dully filled out by students in the first and second years of four-year grammar schools. I formulated two hypotheses. The first hypothesis assumes that students get the information about the issue most frequently from media. This hypothesis has been confirmed and it demonstrates a long-term trend of an ever increasing influence of media on the young population. The second hypothesis assumes that the health education provided at schools in this field is seen by students as insufficient. This hypothesis has not been confirmed because only 35,4 % of the students evaluated the education as insufficient ( or as none at all). The result have shown that the students are not indifferent to the issue of sexually transmitted diseases (STD), however in certain areas their awareness should be increased to a necessary level. This thesis may be used for teaching purposes and its results may be used by the schools involved in the questionnaire survey as a basis for sexual education and programs of primary prevention to increase the knowledge about the issue among the students and to motivate them to a better approach to their health protection against sexually transmitted diseases.

Creation of the helmet model from the 3D scanning
Micka, Michal ; Vyčichl, J.
Contribution deals with the preparation of the numerical model of the cycling protective helmet for calculation with the computer programme ANSYS. The helmet was scanning by the hand scanner. After evaluation of the pictures of the helmet surface are at disposal the graphic output files in the format IGES and STL . To unloaded them and for the creation of the numerical geometrical model in ANSYS the modification of the model was performed in two ways. First the input file is edited from the format IGES and second it is the creation of the helmet outside surface from triangles inscribed into the surface of the model in format STL.

Numerical modelling of interaction between maquette of skull and protective helmet
Krumphanzl, V. ; Micka, Michal
The simple test of the cycling protective helmet loaded by statical forces on the top of the helmet is simulated using program ANSYS. The standardized model for laboratory tests of helmets is used as the model of the head.

Population genetics of Grey Wolf (Canis lupus) in Eurasia
Báčová, Alžběta ; Černá Bolfíková, Barbora (advisor) ; Pavel, Pavel (referee)
The grey wolf (Canis lupus) is the largest canine carnivore living on northern hemisphere of the Earth. Excessive persecution of Canis lupus at the turn of 19th and 20th century has caused nearly extermination of this animal species in the most parts of its natural habitat. Natural habitat got rapidly smaller at that time. At the end of 20th century number of individuals of Canis lupus has increased and the grey wolf has started to return to its natural habitat due to better legal protection. Its natural habitat is very fragmented especially in Western Europe. The origin of founders of wolf populations is estimated and the tracks of migrating individuals are followed, by monitoring the gene flow. In last fifteen years the grey wolf has started to return back to Czech countryside. Usage of microsatellites proved its presence in Beskyd Mountains, Czech and Slovakia republic. Comparing DNA samples of Canis lupus with those of Carpathian wolves showed the same origin of both groups within Europe. Detailed research points to deeper structure even within subpopulation.

Use of Autochthonous Species in Garden and Landscape Creation
Laurinová, Michaela ; Vacek, Oldřich (advisor) ; Broscheová, Lucie (referee)
The topic of this thesis discusses the use of native woods in the landscape. It focuses especially Betulaceae, Fagaceae family. The introductory section explains the relations between man and the nature, which affected today's landscape and became the base for landscape planning and the nature and woods protection by law. This is followed by explaining the autochthones and allochthones woods, their features, positives, negatives, which are important for the landscaping. In the next section there is a summary of origin of autochthonous species from various parts of the European continent and their influence on natural vegetation in the Czech Republic. The thesis includes rules for choosing native woods. There is description of climatic demands, aesthetic and landscape principles as well. Next part mentions basic characteristics of each families and spreading of chosen woods across Europe. Main part of the thesis is dedicated to individual species and its habitat characteristics as a height, the shape of top and there is description leaves, buds, flowers, fruits and root system. This is followed by significant cultivars for landscaping, climate and soil conditions and possibilities of use. Important part of the thesis is the table showing how the species look like during the phenology cycle with chronology organization. The symbology is only secondary information. At the end of every chapter is photo documentation.
