Utilisation of shape analysis methods for object classification in medical images

Bachelor thesis deals with problems of shape analysis. It describes some procedures and methods related to this kind of analysis. The thesis is divided into theoretical part, practical part and conclusion. In the theoretical part we describe in greater detail some methods, with the help of which the practical part was solved. But other theories related to the topic are also described. The practical part then follows the given theory and solves the problem of shape analysis due to the knowledge gained in the theory. The algorithm is tested on medical data from CT of vertebrae. The conclusion serves as a summary and evaluation of the shape analysis solution. It also serves as a reflection on the realization of our method, ie how our solution and result could be improved.

Relationship between testosterone and man facial morphology

Sex hormones influence the overall development of the individual, its development of the metabolic processes, and the distribution of the adipose and muscle tissue, the anatomy of the skeleton, the features of the face and the general appearance of the feminine and masculine phenotype. The morphological differences between men and women can be observed and studied already at the very young age. It is estimated that these differences relate to the distinct levels of the prenatal sex hormones. The occurring changes on face are continuously increasing during the period of adolescence yet, the peak of their development is spotted at puberty. In men's case, the level of testosterone is high enough to boost the growth of the secondary sex differences and the masculine features. In comparison with women, the face of men becomes more robust where the prominence of the supraciliary arch, nose and jowl is extended. The sex dimorphism of the face is one of the most significant signs of the intrasexual and intersexual selection. Key words: Morphology, face, sexual dimorphism, hormones, testosterone

Málková, H.: Multiplication of shape as a means of constructing reality. [Diplom thesis] Prague 2017 - Charles University, Faculty of Education, Department of Art Education, 123 pages. The diploma thesis focuses on the theme of creation of systems, structures and constructions in visual reality. The theoretical part is aimed at the possibilities of multiplication, its growth into space or a plane, while regarding creation of plastic arts by selected artists from the field of fine arts. The practical part introduces author's conception of the topic by the means of photographic medium. Structure is a crucial phenomena in possible understanding of visual reality. It has prerequisites for development of transcendental thinking. We can discover it throughout the whole universe as its unifying element. The findings from the theoretical part are used as basis for didactic activities. The didactic part presents the realized art assignments, which are a part of the implementation of the research. The thesis brings findings and conclusions within the framework of the results of creation and teaching of the topic of spatial composition of multiplied form within a coherent object. Quality Check of Text in Forms

Purpose of this thesis is the quality check of correct button text display on photographed monitors. These photographs contain a variety of image distortions which complicates the following image graphic element recognition. This paper outlines several possibilities to detect buttons on forms and further elaborates on the implemented detection based on contour shapes description. After buttons are found, their defects are detected subsequently. Additionally, this thesis describes an automatic identification of picture with the highest quality for documentation purposes.

Bachelor thesis is focused on shape analysis of image data. This thesis clarifies usage of methods, techniques and procedures that lead to such analysis. The content of this thesis is divided into three chapters – theory, analysis solution and conclusion. In the chapter theory, methods and general theory of the topic are introduced. The rule is, that every method used in subsequent sections is explained in detail, but this doesn't necessarily mean that it applies in reverse. Next chapter, following up the theory section is analysis solution. In this section, a problem is presented. This problem is then, with knowledge presented in chapter theory solved. The solution consists of many processes and preparations that are also explained in detail in this chapter.

Industrial bakery Herold Brno

The goal of Bachelor thesis was to develop the downstream stages of project documentation for the study object industrial bakeries Herold in Brno processed in the subject AG34. This is the documentation for building permits in 1: 100 scale implementation and documentation in 1:50 scale. The subject of this documentation is newly built industrial bakeries Herold situated in Brno. The solution is as alone industrial facility and adjacent areas, representing primarily the handling and parking area, but also a sufficient amount of green. Herold company engaged in the manufacture of mill and bakery products since 1993. During that time, gained a stable position in the market and has become a major regional supplier of bakery products and mill products. The company owns both industrial production buildings and variety stores. Building a new building industrial bakeries in Brno ensure the company expanding production capacity, additional sales area and its location is closer to the area of the most extensive sales. The territory of the building located on the outskirts of the city of Brno, in Horní Heršpice, in an industrial area on the desktop brownfields number 0813. The land slopes gently from west to east, with access from the street K terminálu. Now on land is unsatisfactory and unused objects without architectural value, which will be removed and the surface will create a new industrial bakery. The intention here was to design a building which its scale, shape and material solution will respect the character of the area for which the typical industrial area, usually consisting of single packaged materials. The building is composed of three cubic materials, where the two extreme outweigh the middle, thus forming frames emphasizing the first part of the entry of employees and customers. In the second, then the back of the expedition. Middle lower mass represents supply and production areas. By contrast to these shapes are three cylindrical objects of flour.

Qualitative analysis of laic personality description on the basis of facial morphology

This study examines spontanneous, laic personality ratings of face in comparison to following questionnaires: 16 PF, EPQ-R, NEO-PI-R. We've focused on how people spontaneously rate personality from face in relation to traits which are examined by said questionnaires. We tried to discover which traits are part of questionnaires but not included qualiative ratings and vice versa which traits can be found in laic descriptions but not in questionnaires. We used data from previous studies which provided us with two independent data, self-reports and ratings of facial photographs. Ratings were sorted out and compared to questionnaires. Most of the traits from qualiative data were also included in NEO-PI-R, specifically 90,4% of traits from self-reports and 82,90% of peer reports. 16 PF covered 88% and 77,81% of traits, EPQ-R 86% and 75,94% respectively. The least covered factor overall was Self-Reliance (16 PF) which included only 0,4% of all traits from self-reports. We have not found any factor which would be completely neglected in qualiatitve descriptions. Atractivity and physical traits were one of the main traits among those left unclassified. Thesis work WORLD OF ASYMMETRICAL RESPONSIBILITY develops the original racional concept concentrated on human existence, which was broken by the FACE OF THE OTHER MAN by Levinas. Using analogy we take human FACE AS THE CENTER OF MAN, his body center. The FACE moves forward and has a never ending range. Its potency and vital power calls for further research. Rule of law of asymmetrical responsibility standing for THE OTHER MAN and everyone with a character of unique choice are covered in this thesis work. The contribution into philosophy of education will be seen in restoration of original conception of theoria. Novum to asymmetrical responsibility and its origin are touching the conscious practice deriving from universal FACE. Namelees universal FACES with their own seals form the WORLD OF ASYMMETRICAL RESPONSIBILITY. Life in it in a way of eternity receives and gives immediately the CENTER of neverending row of human looks of FACES with irreplaceable destination in saving human life.
