Josef Čapek (Critical Essay)
KOLDOVÁ, Kateřina
Diploma thesis called Josef Čapek (monographic study)focuses on Josef Čapek's literary discourse. On the one hand it deals with the meanings of topics and motives, which were crucial for Čapek's writing in the relation with the whole author's work, on the other one it concentrates on formal characteristics of Čapek's literary language. Thesis also attempts to answer the question whether Josef Čapek followed contemporary literary tendencies or whether his works differed and if they did, then how. The relationship between Čapek's writing and paintings is also important, therefore the thesis examines whether his painting activity somehow reflected in or even directly influenced his literary works. The whole thesis is divided into eight chapters, by which we suggest to structure also whole Josef Čapek's literary work itself into eight periods and areas. Bibliography, mapping published first editions of his texts, reception and reflection of his literary works, paintings and his own personality, is also important part of the thesis.
Social work and necessity of a united professional association seen through gender policy
BLÁHOVÁ, Lucie
The thesis deals with social work and its current situation. The work focuses on the reflection of the gender issues in social work. The introductory part is devoted to the public and the private sphere and the way how it was set in the society and to the consequences for men and women. The next part briefly introduces the history of the social work as a domain of women and the church, which reflected/did not reflect the social revolutions, development and changes that have happened in our society up to the present day. The second part of the work points to the uncrystallization and fragmentation of social work, difficult self-definition/identification of male and female social workers as a result of the post-modern society code and the gender contract. The thesis subsequently compares the problems of social work and women´s associations and finds the solution in the implementation of a united professional association.

Czech as a foreign language
POULOVÁ, Nikola
I would like to research and concern with the Czech as a foreign language in my bachelor thesis because I think that this topic is and will be still topical. Several ten thousands of immigrants direct to the Czech Republic every year. The minimum of them has been already equipped by basics of Czech and the most of them start learning Czech up to the destination. I would like to focus on the possibilities of teaching Czech which are offered in the Czech Republic. The next focus would be what sort of style and where Czech is taught in the foreign countries and how difficult it is for foreigners.
Ethical concept in Nick Cave's literary world
EDL, Tomáš
The bachelor thesis is a philosophical reflection of ethical aspects of Nick Cave's literary world. Particularly from the theological point of view, the author of thesis considers a possibility of a coherent ethical concept formation of the Cave's literary world, which is not in a contradiction with behaviour of Cave's characters regarding the moments of moral decision-making. As a key argument for the uneasiness to form any coherent ethical concept, is considered to be Cave's preference of morality and refusing morals in the concept which is being presented. The author suggests the hypothesis of the unitary nature of conscience of Cave's characters as a possible ethical concept of the Cave's literary world.

The work deals with active participation of religious people while celebrating li-turgy renewed by II. Vatican council, The whole work is divided into 5 major parts. The history of liturgy is described in the first part of the work. Emphasis is put on the age of Liturgical Movement and following outfall into general reform of liturgy ? the constitution of Sacrosanctum Concilium. The second part deals with the importance of music and language which are necessary condition for active participation. I would like to highlight the transition from latin to local languages after the II. Vatican council. The Church wants the religious people to be active in liturgy and which leads to another part of the work which is dedicated to the services for children and young people. It also considers the beauty and richness of the breviary. A very important term is animation of liturgy which is mentioned in the fourth part of the work. I dedicated the last part of my work is to familirize the readers with efforts in Týn nad Vltavou?s parish to engage the people in liturgy.

Communication with the patient / alien in the nursing process
MBUNA YEMELI, CEPHISE LEONIE
The issue of multicultural nursing is still new, in the Czech republic, with the increasing number of foreigners. Communication is a fundamental process, which can be characterized as exchanging of information and ideas among people. It can be on both on verbal and nonverbal levels. It is based on interpersonal interactions, involving the transfer of information from person to another. The nurse serves as a liaison between the doctors and the patient. They must understand medical instructions and patient needs and concerns. Their communication skills are important because it serves as a channel of information exchange therebycreating an environment of trust. For nurses and for patients/ alien communication is an essential tool for submitting and obtaining information and the lack of communication can lead to errors and misunderstanding in patient care. The results of this research work show knowledge of Czech nurses in multicultural nursing. Knowledge of multicultural nursing care is at a low level and there is need for it to be improved. I can state that the objectives set at the beginning of this thesis have been achieved.

The language and style of the "Sestra" journal
MUŽÍKOVÁ, Lucie
The aim of this thesis is the analysis of language and style of the Sestra journal. This is a professional monthly journal devoted to nurses and non-medical staff in sanitary departments, it?s published since 1991 and several publishers are already involved in its distribution. Thesis is divided into three parts. The first is a theoretical chapter in which we discuss the functional styles and how they are perceived and named by different stylists. The journal is represented by several styles, some texts go beyond the boundaries of individual styles. The following is a practical part in which we will discuss journal characteristics, self-presentation and also a short presentation of the Zdravotnická pracovnice journal which preceded the Sestra journal. Even the transformation of formal aspects is not omitted ? it concerns both the cover and internal arrangement of the journal. So the journal cover, the editorials and the professional journal sections (annex and the thematic books) and other texts are important journal components. Although the journal changed during the years, the types of texts do not undergo significant changes, only the representation of functional styles is different. Next section of the practical part is focused on analysis on the text level (language and style) of individual functional styles ? it will be the professional, educational, artistic, journalistic, promotional and administrative style. More generally, I want to remark also the linguistic aspects, in terms of phonetics, morphology and lexicology. The last chapter is part of the research based on interviews with health care workers ? readers of the Sestra journal. Even though this is a high quality and a good level journal, their responses and comments can bring some benefits to the journal itself, how to get closer to readers, how to make it more pleasant or how to remove any gaps. In this part of the thesis evaluation of the research and proposals how to change the journal are not missed.
