Value Orientation and Life Plans of Children and Youth with Behaviour Disorders

This thesis deals with the value orientation and life plans of children and adolescents who are placed into young offenders' institutions because of their behavioural disorders. The theoretical part elucidates basic conceptions related to values and value orientations. It applies to individual development, family issues and education, behavioural disorders and refers to the difficulty of education and re-education in school facilities for the practice of institutional and protective education. The empirical part is a combination of a quantitative and a qualitative research. The questionnaire survey was used to determine the value orientation, life goals, preferred leisure activities, some attitudes and information about clients from the young offenders' institutions. The questionnaires were handed over to respondents from the six children's homes with school and young offenders' institutions. The established values hierarchy and life goals were compared with the results of a similar research. The unstructured interviews with children ending the compulsory education were mainly focused on the choice of study and career orientation. The Value Orientation in the life and work of nurses

Bachelor thesis titled "The Value Orientation in the life and work of nurses" is focused on exploration in the values of nurses working at the University Hospital Motol. The theoretical part of the paper gives a brief outline of the life values, issues of general value orientation and characteristics of individual groups of values. In the empirical part data were collected through a questionnaire survey. The questionnaire contained questions relating to the issue or determining the preference of selected environmental values in relation to age, length of practice and education of nurses.

This work handles a topic of values and value orientations. We treat values as one of the issues on a broader field of motivation. From this point of view we placed values in a motivation system pattern. We deal with a more general characteristics of motivation just in order to understand a topic of values. The values and value orientations are elaborated with the help of a number of psychological theories. We are concerned with a developmental traits of values especially in adolescence and early adulthood. The theoretical part is followed on by a concept of psychological research - qualitative and quantitative. The purpose of this project is to get a basic understanding of value orientations among teenagers and young adults and to estimate their moral values and motivation. Corporate culture vs. employees value orientation

Global companies have to deal with cultural differences which may be source of misun-derstanding in the moment when company expands in to the new location and tries to introduce own organizational culture in different country. This diploma thesis tries to identify possible complications which might arise to an American company running business in the Czech milieu. At the beginning the thesis introduces main terminology and theoretical concepts related to the topic (labour market changes, globalization, culture, organizational culture etc.). The second part of the thesis is dedicated to the results of own survey made among the employees in the Czech office of an American company. Survey is based on the results of the analysis of documents about Czech and American values (mainly about values related to the work) and is trying to analyze how Czech employees accept American corporate culture. Survey tries also to confirm differences which are rising from cultural value orientation of Czech and American population.

Changes in reproductive behaviour within the second demographic transition in the selected european countries Abstract The aim of this work is to analyze the changes in reproductive behavior within the second demographic transition in five countries of Europe. The Czech Republic, Estonia, The Netherlands, Finland and Portugal were selected. Each of them represents one of trajectories of the second demographic transition in the European region. Within theoretical concept of the second demographic transition the research of cultural factors was particularly stressed as they are considered to be the main factors of stimulation of the changes. Attention was focused on the analysis of value orientation of selected populations using data of the European Values Study (EVS) and the International Social Survey (ISSP). Analysis of reproductive behavior in those countries was included as well. It was found out, that changes in value orientation in the post-communistic countries couldn't have been the only determinant of changes in reproductive behavior. Moreover, the value change has been still taking place even in the countries where the second demographic transition started three or four decades ago. Activities of boarding houses´ students related to social participation within leisure time.

This thesis focuses on students´ activities related to social participation in leisure time and information sources where they get information about courses of events in society. These activities are associated with residence in two chosen boarding houses Boarding house belonging to grammar school, secondary school of economics and secondary training school in Kaplice and boarding house and school canteen in Holečkova street in České Budějovice. This thesis includes tutors´ opinions on students´ social involvement in their leisure time. Theoretical part of this thesis defines youth in current society, characterizes students´ leisure time culture, their attitude to social participation and it also describes the impact of value orientation on development of both their personality and environment. This part also describes youth´s lifestyle in information society and there are described basic characteristics of boarding houses, tutor´s personality and his part within the process of youth´s participation in society. The last chapter of theoretical part introduces chosen education approaches based on training leading to youth´s participation and there is stated their influence on individual lifelong and social impact. Experimental part defines research task, research questions and defines hypothesis. It is followed by question-forms assessment that were filled in by students and tutors and assessment of defined hypothesis. There are discussed results of the research in the end of this thesis.
Meaning of life and values orientation in the context of drug addiction

This bachelor thesis focuses on the issues of a life purpose and a value orientation. The research is based on patients, who are being treated for a drug addiction at the Červený Dvůr Psychiatric hospital. The first part of the thesis focuses on giving definition to the terms "life purpose" and "value orientation", primarily in the context of Victor Emanuel Frankl´s logotherapy and existential analysis. Further ahead, the definition of a drug addiction and the theory of addiction´s origin is discussed as well. The exploration part of the thesis presents the results of research, which was carried out at the Červený Dvůr Psychiatric hospital since November 2016 to March 2017. 33 (25 men, 8 women) respondents, who are being treated for drug addiction, participated in the research. The Logo-test, Existential scale and Value and purpose evaluating and ordering methods were used for collecting the data. The results show, that patients have issues mainly in the area of life values fulfilling. Further the research points out, that staying in the institution has a positive impact on decreasing an existential frustration and positively influencing the perception of meaningfulness of life. The research proved that experiencing meaningfulness and occurrence of existential frustration differs at patients that are being treated for the first time and at patients who are being treated repeatedly.

Value orientation of sporting and non-sporting seniors

Problem: The problems of values have been in the forefront of human interest since ancient philosophy. Due to the serious nature of this topic it is not a surprise that values are presently the focus of nearly all social sciences (psychology, economics, sociology, anthropology, ethnology etc.). However, value orientation in seniors still represents a relatively not very explored area. In this respect, the value orientation of seniors in relation to sport and the barriers inhibiting their participation in locomotion activities in particular is a topical issue in the light of the present-day demographical development in the developed countries. Hypothesis: We presume that we find relationships between the value orientation of a selected senior population and their degree of participation in locomotion activities, the type of locomotion activities and socio-demographic characteristics. We also presume that we find relationships between the value orientation of a selected senior population and their subjective perception of barriers limiting or inhibiting seniors' involvement in locomotion activities.
