The output of this bachelor's thesis is to design and manufacture a functional prototype of an upholstered chair. The first part of the bachelor thesis deals with the history of seating furniture, then the ergonomics of seating and the typology of seating furniture. The practical part of the work contain the design of the chair, starting with sketches, visualizations with the variants of chair. Furthermore, practical part contains the technical design solution, information about the materials used and their costs. The whole practical part is supplemented by the visualizations of the product.

This bachelor thesis deals with the design of furniture for work from home. It consists of two parts. The first part of the work deals with the theoretical basis for the design solution. Analyzes the issue in terms of ergonomics and anthropometry. Describes the possibilities of structures, structural joints and materials. At the same time, it summarizes the currently available solutions on the market and safety and technical requirements for office furniture. The second part of the work is based on these findings, based on which is designed its own solution respecting the ergonomic, safety and technical standards of ČSN. The actual design solution is processed in the form of drawing documentation, parts lists and THN.

The bachelor thesis deals with ecological cardboard furniture. Specifically, the element of the children‘s table was chosen. The work is divided into two parts, the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part deals with the history and development of this type of furniture, the emergence of cardboard and corrugated cardboard, ecology and ergonomics. The second part is authors own design. Design is preceded by market research. After the searches, the product is created from the initial idea, through the creation of the design, to the implementation. The output of the bachelor thesis is a functional model of the proposed product.

The thesis deals with the complete interior design of a family flower studio. The aim was to create a studio design that will serve as a flower shop and at the same time as a space for floristic courses. The work is divided into a theoretical and practical part. In the introduction to the theoretical part, there is a cross-section of the history of floriculture with the development of floristic disciplines. The theoretical part focuses on the process of creating public space, its stages, and work with suppliers during the creation of a new interior. The theoretical part further covers requirements for a specific space such as ergonomics, lighting, material, and color solutions. Based on the knowledge acquired in the theoretical part, the interior design described in the practical part was created. The design process began with an analysis of the client, their requirements, and the research. Subsequently, a layout solution was created, and the resulting design was converted into visualizations.

This diploma thesis focuses on the creation of a new dressing table design. The theoretical part deals with the issues of housing, antropology, ergonomics, norms and regulations, lounge and table furniture, the history of dressing tables, and associated research. In the practical part, the design of the dressing table is discussed in detail, including construction and materials, visualization and production of a prototype. The design of the dressing table includes a matching tabouret.

This diploma thesis deals with design of storage element. Before the design process itself, a theoretical part is elaborated, in which the author focuses on the historical overview of the type of furniture, analysis of the Czech market and unusual trends in the division of storage space, ergonomics, construction and safety requirements and standards dealing with storage furniture. The practical part is focused on a specific design, its solution in terms of materials and construction. Production of the prototype is captured and described in detail using photographs.

This bachelor´s thesis contains the entire process of designing and manufacturing a functional prototype of a resting chair designed for long-term rest. The work is divided into two parts – theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains a brief history of seating furniture, the theme of resting chairs, ergonomics, and safety requirements of seating furniture. The second, practical part, includes a search for resting chairs topic and market analysis, as well as all the materials and production technologies used. The work includes own sketches, visualizations, photos from the production and the final appearance of the chair.

Návrh interiéru v prostorách brownfields

The aim of this thesis is to design the public interior within the brownfield space. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the issue of brownfield sites, summarizes historical and present situation of brownfields in Brno and its surroundings and reveals the possibilities of their revitalization. Furthermore, this thesis presents requirements for space (security, psychology etc.). The practical part presents the interior design of the gallery in the premises of an old factory hall in the grounds of the former Zbrojovka Brno, in conjunction with the design of an atypical furniture set, taking into account its ergonomics, materials and technologies used, and knowledge acquired during the study of the issue.

The theme of this bachelor’s thesis is designing the interior of habitable superstructure, mountable on Pick-Up vehicles and constructional solution of one chosen interior unit. The design is tailored to technical, ergonomic and estetic aspects and targets to create such structures, to lighten the whole superstructure as possible. The main thurst is to adapt the interior appropriately to quality stay of two people inside the superstructure during traveling. When designing furniture structures, the weight of the entire superstructure on minimal useable area was taken into account. The interior is designed to be fully functional in operating conditions.

The bachelor thesis describes 1930', its political and economic situation, art directions and their philosophy, relevant art schools or groups, designers and their work. Furthermore, the writing mentions the technology of furniture production, materials and housing culture of the 1930s focusing on Brno, but also comparison with Europe and the world. In addition, the thesis deals with the comparison of this period with the presence and its influence on today's furniture design. The project includes design of furniture object containing features of the 1930s. Photographs and pictures are attached for better understanding of described topic.
