Tolerance zone and birefrigence influnce measurement on polarization multiplex
Štohl, Jakub ; Grenar, David (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the measurement of tolerance zone and the influence of birefringence on the activity of polarization multiplex. The theoretical part deals with polarization of light, mathematical description using Stokes and Jones vectors and its representation by Poincaré sphere. It also deals with optical transmission and channel merging. The final part describes the designed measuring workplace and the measurement itself.
Application of nanofiller in electroinsulating materials
Mohyla, Petr ; Rozsívalová, Zdenka (referee) ; Frk, Martin (advisor)
This project deals with calculation parts of complex permittivity varnish samples which is filled by nanoparticles of metal oxides. Opening of this project deals with theory of dielectric and effects in dielectric, theory of compounds and expressions in composite systems. Following topic is theory of nanoparticles and nanotechnologies and summarize adjusted results about this branch of knowledge. In practical part of work is include method which was use to make varnish samples filled by nanoparticles, prepare to measurement methods and whole results of measurement. In the end of work is analysis influence of filler particles each filler types to dielectric material and results verified mixture mathematical expressions.
Optoelectronic sensor of polarization state of light from biological samples
Mikláš, Jan ; Brüstlová, Jitka (referee) ; Tománek, Pavel (advisor)
The living body tissues consist of cells which dimensions are bigger than a wavelength of visible light. Therefore a Mie scattering of reflected of backscaterred light occurs and different polarization states arise. The changes of polarization state due to the multiple scattering of light in the biological cellular tissues allow measure the aging of biological tissue. The reflected or backscattered polarized laser light exhibits multiple scattering on the sample surface and in its subsurface area.
Transmission Broadband Channel Implementation Using Light Propagation Polarization Axes
Mafka, Martin ; Münster, Petr (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
The aim of this master’s thesis is to analyze ways of propagation light in optical fiber with two polarization planes. Theoretical part is focused to to the issue of polarized light, its mathematical description using Stokes and Jones vectors, the state of polarization on Poincare sphere and polarization multiplex. In the practicle part are first measured several laboratory measurements to verify the theoretical assumptions from the previous chapters. At the end of the thesis was constructed a functional polarization multiplex for wavelength 1550 nm.
Measurement of insulation and dielectric properties of water.
Žvátora, Jaroslav ; Starý, Jiří (referee) ; Špinka, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals about dielectric and insulation properties of water. It describes the structure of water, hydrogen bonds. It explains primary physical and chemical properties of water and then it describes parameters of water such as dynamic viscosity, conductivity, surface pension, loss factor, polarization. Part of the work is practical section, which deals measurements of water and shows primary dependence such as capacity dependence on frequency or loss factor on frequency.
Antennas integrated into the helmet
Elfmark, Zdeněk ; Tkadlec, Roman (referee) ; Pítra, Kamil (advisor)
The work is focused on antennas integrated into the helmet. They preferred planar antennas with different polarization and different feed. They consider possible positions on the helmet, or into helmet.
Distributed fiber optic sensors
Holík, Tomáš ; Čučka, Milan (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the possibility of using optical fiber as a sensor. The introduction of the thesis is devoted to the foundations of optics. In addition, the thesis deals with optical interferometry, polarization and dispersion in optical fiber. The main output of the thesis is the comparison of acoustic vibration measurements using interferometric and polarization methods and further measurements on the real route in Brno.
Automated workplace for the direct current measurements
Plocr, Radek ; Frk, Martin (referee) ; Rozsívalová, Zdenka (advisor)
The present thesis attempts at an overview of DC methods used for diagnosing electrical isolation systems. It investigates the problem of small currents and how to measure them. Part of the thesis deals with building a workstation designed for long-term monitoring of absorbing characteristics of dielectric materials and it also presents a layout of a workstation used for measuring recovery voltage. Both workplaces are computer-automated using the VEE Pro application provided by Hewlett-Packard. Tests were performed on both workstations and the obtained results were processed in a test report as specified under ČSN IEC 93. During the experiment, every effort was made to ensure and monitor the atmospheric conditions of the measuring process.
Influence of filler particles size on parts of complex permittivity of composite
Mohyla, Petr ; Rozsívalová, Zdenka (referee) ; Frk, Martin (advisor)
This project deals with calculation parts of complex permittivity varnish samples which is filled by ground mica with variety size of particles. Opening of this project deals with theory of dielectric and effects in dielectric. Following topic is theory of compounds and expressions in composite systems. In practical part of work is include method which was use to make varnish samples, their temperature stress and whole results of measurement. In the end of work is influence of filler particles each filler types to dielectric material and including coefficient which include size of filler particles to suitable mathematical expression.
Effect of Light Polarization on Optical Fibre Links
Obručník, Ondřej ; Křivánek, Vítězslav (referee) ; Kyselák, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the emergence of polarization mode dispersion, its mathematical expression and also the influence, which polarization mode dispersion has on the optical communication channel. First, the chapters birefringence in fibers and polarization debate its emergence and basic characteristics, then are introduced two possibilities of mathematical expression polarization mode dispersion namely in Stokes and Jones space, whence is more closely examine Jones space. End work adverts about dependencies wavelength and birefringence on differential group delay, also about using fibre Bragg gratings in optical fibres and fall of characteristics grating on differential group delay.
