Motivation to do voluntary work
ŠIMKOVÁ, Soňa
The Bachelor´s thesis deals with the questions related to volunteering, more accurately with the motivation to volunteer. The volunteers are the people who help socially handicapped people not entitled to receive any financial or other support. The motivation to become a volunteer is influenced by many factors to which for example altruistic values, career needs, social relations, etc. belong. The Bachelor´s thesis proposes to find the objectives and needs of the volunteers according to the length of volunteer practice. But in the fact it results from the model of the functional analysis of volunteering of M. Snyder & Associates, which is based on the principle of motivations of a great part of human behaviour based on objectives and needs. The nature of these motives are found through the quantitative research. The data were collected by means of the M. Snyder & Associates questionnaire, which was filled in by 40 respondents, volunteers for companies Fokus České Budějovice and Fokus Tábor, the home hospice Jordán, daily and weekly social welfare institution Klíček, the programme "Pět P" in České Budějovice and the volunteer centre Hestia. The research brought a lot of interesting finding, including preferred as well as dismissive motives. The motive of understanding was the most frequent motive to volunteer, on the contrary, social relations became the least frequent one. There are small differences between the volunteers with differentiated length of volunteering. A long practice oftentimes appears to be the expression of altruistic values related to humanitarian care for the others. Short volunteering experience is more often distinguished by individual personal growth, development and improvement.

CHMELÍKOVÁ, Andrea
The thesis in its theoretical parts deals with drugs in general, it describes effects of marijuana, misuse of this narcotic, system of prevention and care in Czech Republic. I paid attention mainly to questions of characteristic, origin and spread of cannabis drugs. In this thesis I wanted to point out also positive effects of marijuana for human organism, what was the history of treatment before and how is marijuana used for medical purposes today. I also researched possible risks of the usage of cannabis drugs, what negative consequences can occur after prolonged and regular use of marijuana, for example how this drug affects lungs, psyche, how use of marijuana effects a fetus during pregnancy, if marijuana works as an initial drug toward the hard drugs addiction. In the practical part of my thesis the goal was to chart marijuana addiction at middle schools, the knowledge of pupils about addictive substance issues and consequences of their use. I wanted to find out where pupils meet marijuana most often, where they tried it for the first time, who gave it to them, what was their actual experience, how many of them begun to use marijuana regularly, where they take money for it or if they grow it themselves and if they tried as well as other kinds of drugs. In my thesis I also wanted to show a preventive program how primary prevention affects pupils in terms of prevention in the teaching, but as well as lectures and discussions at schools from external and special trained workers. The main goal of this thesis was increasing of awareness of the public about this issue.
Married vs. Unmarried Couple - a Two Generation View
VODRÁŽKOVÁ, Magdalena
Traditional marriages have been replaced in the last decades with a new form of a relationship ? cohabitation. Most of young people postpone marriages until they have a child and some of them even want to live in a non-marital relationship for a longer time. The aim of my bachelor thesis is to compare marriage and cohabitation from the point of view of two different generations. Next, I aimed to find out whether young people consider marriage to be only an institution or a traditionally respected union of two people who choose their partners for their whole lives. The theoretical part focuses on the topic family and its functions and describes marriage and cohabitation in the historical context. The thesis presents changes which have occurred in relationships and motives for choosing marriage or cohabitation. In addition, it describes features, relations and differences between both forms of these partnerships. The practical part compares views of two generations on marriage and cohabitation. The research was conducted in the form of piloting, specifically by using the quantitative research; in this case the survey questionnaire. The research sample was formed by two different generations ? 18-25 years old (young generation) and 60-67 years old (old generation). The thesis determines two hypotheses which both of them were confirmed. The results prove that young people plan to get married after they have a child. They first want to try living in a non-marital relationship and get married later. Furthermore, the young generation prefers cohabitation to marriage since marriage symbolizes for them confirmation of a partner for their whole lives. In addition, they understand marriage as a legally recognized union of two people. On the contrary, the older generation prefers marriage and is convinced that a child should be born inside marriage. They do not condemn cohabitation; they tolerate this form as a kind of a trial.

Cultural heritage and development of tourism in Orlík region
VLASÁKOVÁ, Veronika
The aim of this work is to evaluate the cultural heritage in the development of tourism in the region of Orlicko. For studying, there were used secondary and primary data. Thanks to marketing research, we got 1,584 valid questionnaires. There were used computer programs (MS Excel and Statistics Cz v. 6) for data processing. The data interpretation tools used descriptive statistics and the analysis of testing hypotheses. There was conducted field research of the area. The monuments were entered into the newly formed layers of geographic information system Janitor in the form of polygons. In the region of Orlicko, there exist more than 130 cultural monuments in 21 types. These results confirm the presumption about diversity of the structure of assumptions heritage tourism. This diversity is also noticeable in the villages of the defined area. More than 5 types of monuments offer urban areas Varvažov, Čimelice, Orlik nad Vltavou and Mirovice. In the first four there is localized at least one attraction of a greatly importance. These communities also show the highest potential. It was demonstrated, that the importance of cultural heritage in the areas is different. There were found significant differences in the motives and characteristics of the target site, which affect the choice of place of holiday. These differences were detected in groups partitioned by gender, level of participation in cultural and historical attractions and by their interest in history. The main motives for holiday were: to release from everyday life and work, visit interesting places and get them known. Participants wish to leave their homes for having fun and change the place. The importance of cultural and historical attractions in the locality is increasing in conjunction with participation in cultural tourism and the increasing interest in history. The same tendency can be seen in knowledge as a reason for holiday. When the holiday place is selected the highest importance is: natural environment, the existence of historic cities in the region, a healthy environment, the possibility of refreshments and meals, and bathing options. For women, it is more important the existence of the cultural and historical attractions in the region and associated motives, than for men. In the designated area, there are high requirements for the use of cultural heritage in the development of tourism. Major attractions are concentrated in several villages. The region is not primarily associated with the culture; the motives of visitors are more connected with recreation. There is also possibility of developing cultural and historical attractions as a source of secondary supply.
Reasons for using Marihuana and frequency of its use
STACHOVÁ, Veronika
The theme of my bachelor thesis is called Reasons for Using Marihuana and the Frequency of its Use. No other drug divides the professional public as much as marihuana does. New findings of international research lead to increasingly hot discussions to what extent marihuana is harmful to health and, especially, why it is so popular with young people. It remains an alarming fact that experiments with marihuana occur at lower and lower ages. Cases of first use of cannabis before the age of thirteen are no exception nowadays. Thanks to continuing scientific research, information on cannabis drugs increases, but the sufficient amount of the newly obtained data may be doubted because all prevention efforts fail especially with marihuana. On the one hand, this drug is presented as harmless and its risks are played down, and, on the other hand, absurd deterring myths are made up. This bachelor thesis investigates the motives that lead young people to using cannabis drugs, and the extent of awareness of health risks resulting from its use. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with factors that increase the risk of experimenting and thus the resulting use of marihuana, as well as the actual motives of the use of cannabis. Last but not least, it describes individual health risks. The theoretical part also deals with the theory of marihuana as the initiation drug. The investigation aim of this thesis is to find out the motives leading to the use of cannabis, and to try to survey the knowledge of health risks of marihuana users. To achieve these aims, I used the qualitative research by means of the conversation method. There are altogether eight questions concerning these areas: the circumstances and motive of the first time use of marihuana, circumstances under which the user consumes the drug, negative experiences caused by acute intoxication, the main motive of cannabis use at present, further the knowledge of health risks connected with the use of the drug and other habit-forming substances, the theory of marihuana of the gateway drug and making marihuana legal. The research set consists of secondary school pupils. Four hypotheses were established on the basis of the research results. Hypothesis No. 1: Risks connected with the use of marihuana are underestimated by the users themselves. Hypothesis No. 2: Adolescents using marihuana do not have sufficient knowledge of health risks. Hypothesis No. 3: The negative effect of marihuana (bad trip) does not motivate most of its users to abstain from it. Hypothesis No. 4: The most frequent motive of the first time use is curiosity.
