Waves in materials with cubic anisotropy
Červ, Jan
There are studied properties of elastic waves, which propagate through material with cubic symmetry.
Impact transient responses of human skull with and without the model of the brain tissue
Pešek, Luděk ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Trnka, Jan
The developed finite element model of the human skull is used for analysis of transient phenomena after impact loading of the skull. Two methods of numerical simulation of the time response are described. The results are compared with the original experiments.
Guided wave problems were studied by numerical and experimental methods
Kačor, Aleš ; Trnka, Jan ; Veselý, Eduard
Finite element method was used to analyze guided wave propagation in a thin steel plate. Numerical results were compared with experimental data obtained by double pulse holointerferometry.
Experimental and numerical investigation of bending wave propagation in thin steel plate
Trnka, Jan ; Veselý, Eduard ; Kačor, Aleš ; Plešek, Jiří
Double pulse holointerferometry was used for studying the elastic wave propagation in a thin steel plate. The experimental results are compared with the finite element solution.
Stress waves in discs with selected sorts of geometrical inhomogeneities
Červ, Jan ; Valeš, František ; Landa, Michal
There were studied stress waves in discs with selected sorts of geometrical inhomogeneities.
Harmonic wave propagation in transversaly isotropic plates
Červ, Jan ; Valeš, František
Propagation of harmonic plane wave in transversaly isotropic plates was studied. It was shown that under given assumptions the given wave can propagate as quasitransverse wave. Dispersional and directional properties were found out as well.
The elastic wave propagation over the shape transitions of bodies
Morávka, Š. ; Hora, Petr
The work treats the elastic wave propagation in the basic construction elements of structures. The samples with the most common shape transitions are used. Results of analytical computations, numerical simulations and experimental results are verified and compared mutually. The generalized ray theory, the FEM (implemented in software MARC/MENTAT)and the transient piezoceramic transducers are used.
Ortotropní pás zatížený rázovým zatížením
Červ, Jan ; Zemčík, R. ; Laš, V.
The paper deals with the transient response of orthotropic strip onto impact loading. The problem is studied both numerically (FEM) and experimentally.
Some problems united with propagation R-waves in the thin orthotropic materials
Červ, Jan
There are some differences when Rayleigh waves propagate along the edge of a thin semi-infinite orthotropic medium made of laminate or metal crystallic structure. These differences are studied in the paper.
