Coaching as a method for managerial development and the opportunities of its application in construction engineering

The Bachelor`s thesis deals with coaching as a manager´s development method. Its aim is to discover the potential of coaching in construction industry and highlight its benefit for organisation in this segment. The theoretical part explains the technical terms and deals with theories of human communication and managing skills development. The empirical part uses survey research and controlled interview for the testing of the postulated hypothesis. The conclusion contains the evaluation of the empirical part on the base of which the recommendations for the construction industry companies is formed.
Risk management in a construction company

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the management of risks in the construction company. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the issue of project management including historical excursion. The thesis is then focused on the risk management itself in the construction industry. This part is the basis for the practical part. In the actual practical part author presents how to work with risks on the example of the specific construction company and proposes recommendations for the improvement.
Motivation and firm culture in construction company

The aim of this bachelor‘s thesis was to valorize current company culture and motivation of employees in some construction company and verify the working hypothesis conected to the main topic of this study. The theoretical part deals with specifics of the construction company and with topics directly related to its name and the main subject. The empirical part was collected using a questionnaire method in selected construction companies. Itanalyses the current state of corporate culture and motivation and and verify the setting hypothesis. The conclusions content some posssible recomendations for improvement of the situation in construction companies.
Leadership and management of employees in the construction company

This Bachelor thesis deals with the theme "Leadership and management employees in a construction company." The essence of the theory is to briefly introduce the concepts of management, construction management, leadership and management of staff, use of the motivational tools, especially those incentives such as internal communication and education. At the same time I was engaged in an essential part of leadership and management, that is the evaluation of the workers and consequently the satisfaction that fundamentally affects the functioning and performance of workers in employment. In the empirical part, to verify and evaluate the given hypotheses, is used of quantitative and qualitative research. Qualitative interviewing is prepresented by the heuristic form or form of structured interviews. Controlled talks preceding the survey for the purpose of obtaining quantitative answers. The output of this thesis are the conclusions of a set of recommendations based on trends and experiences learned from the research that lead to improved climate in the leadership and management of co-workers in a construction company.

My bachelor‘s thesis deals with coaching as a method of managerial development and the opportunities its application brings into the construction industry. The aim of the thesis is to show how coaching isused to developmanagers‘ skills in building companies, and what impact it may have on the companies’ operation. The theoretical part introducest he basic terms and theories related to the topic. Based on a questionnaire survey and a series of structured interviews, the practical part analyzes whether and possibly to what extent building companies and their managers are familiar with the coaching method.
Utilization of Financial Analysis of Construction Company for Needs of Management

The topic of the bachelor thesis is the financial analysis of the construction company and its managerial impact. The main goal is to evaluate the financial stability of the subject and explain its utility for the company management. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part describes the methodology of the financial analysis and the way to use the output for management purposes. In the practical part the financial analysis of the STAVITELSTVI DANIEL STRYK s. r. o. in 2008 – 2011 is being performed. The financial analysis is based on elementary methods, indexes, summative ratios and key performance indicators.

The bachelor thesis examines the awareness and application of Time Management for managers working in construction companies in the Czech Republic. The first part focuses on theoretical explanations of concepts and approaches the issue of planning, the subsequent time management, setting goals and priorities that are necessary to achieve them. In the second part the author examines and analyzes the current status of the use methodology of Time management for managers working in practice. The survey questionnaire is based on research and controlled CAWI interview with the manager working in the construction business. Outcome of this work is to evaluate the current situation using Time management at work managers working in construction. The author offers a solution to work more efficiently with time.
