Měření potenciálu plazmatu a elektronového a iontového proudu v obloukovém proudu plazmatu pomocí elektrických sond
Hurba, Oleksiy ; Hrabovský, Milan ; Kopecký, Vladimír ; Chumak, Oleksiy
The results of studying of a plasma jet with use electric probes are presented. Distribution of potential in anode region of plasma jet and distribution of currents to positively biased probes were received. Distribution of electric field intensity in sheath of cold gas between the anode surface and the jet and distribution of density of power dissipated in the sheath are calculated.

Rozložení energie v kavitační bublině během jejího růstu a kolapsu
Müller, M. ; Maršík, František ; Garen, W.
Shock wave generation during the bubble growth and collapse and the corresponding energy separation were investigated experimentally. The calculation of the shock wave energy was based on the experimentally determined shock wave velocity profile. The possibility of using the similarity solution to determine the shock wave intensity is discussed. The velocity field around the collapsing bubble was visualized and compared with the numerical simulation using the commercial FLUENT code.

Cost Analysis of Treatment of Cataract
Nečasová, Martina ; Lešetický, Ondřej (advisor) ; Jankůj, Miroslav (referee)
This thesis deals with the analysis of the cost of treatment of cataracts. The intention is to compare cataract surgery by phacoemulsification by ultrasonic method and by laser method and by using a cost-benefit analysis to evaluate the effective treatment from three perspectives - patient, medical equipment and insurance. To calculate the subjective benefits of the operation the patient is using the method of VF-14, which is a tool for transferring benefits to financial units.

Investigation of the stability of novel drug candidates in biological materials
Bechná, Lenka ; Kovaříková, Petra (advisor) ; Pilařová, Pavla (referee)
High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is one of the most frequently used analytical techniques for the analysis of drugs. Pyridoxal isonicotinoyl hydrazone (PIH) is a parental compound of the new group of the selective iron chelators derived from aroylhydrazone, which are currently intensively investigated as promising drug candidates. Besides the ability to bind iron, PIH was shown to posses other pharmacological effects: cardioprotective, antioxidative and cytoprotective. This work deals with the investigation of the stability of water-soluble salt of PIH (PIH·2HCl) in three biological materials (rabbit plasma, BSA solution and ultrafiltrate) using HPLC. The half-lives of PIH in these media were calculated as well. The measurement was executed with the guard column Lichrocart - 4×4 mm I.D. (Purospher RP-18C, 5 µm) and the analytical column Lichrocart - 250×4 mm I.D. (Lichrospher 100, RP-18 C, 5 µm). The mobile phase was composed of methanol/acetonitrile (in the ratio 24:14) and phosphate buffer (NaH2PO4 0,01mol/l; pH 6,0 - adjusted by 10% solution NaOH) + EDTA (1,0 mmol/l), in the ratio 50:50. Flow rate was 1 ml/min. The detection was executed in the ultraviolet spectrum at the wavelength of 297 nm. The stability of the PIH was characterized by its half-lives in plasma - t 1/2 = 29 min., BSA...

Porovnání výnosových a kvalitativních parametrů vybraných hybridů silážní kukuřice
Seryn, Jaroslav
This thesis presents a comparison of quality and yield parameters of corn silage hybrids. The basis for the work was a pilot experiment, which was set in 2013 on the land of the agriculture company ÚSOVSKO. During the growing period differences among hybrids were recorded at different growth stages. At harvest, yield of biomass was assessed and then the samples were taken for laboratory analyses. The following characteristics of particular hybrids were evaluated: dry matter content, starch content, the content of N-substances, content of ADF and NDF, cellulose content, ash and fat content. Based on obtained data the methane production and milk production from one ton of silage and per one hectare of crop was calculated as well as estimation of digestibility.

Calculations of fract. param. of general stress concentrators:III.Analysis of the stress field around a tip of a sharp V-notch
Náhlík, Luboš ; Gröger, Roman
In the article is under assumptions of linear elastic fracture mechanics analyzed problem of the sharp V-notch with its tip on the bi-material interface, as a example of general stress concentrator. The procedure for the determination of stress singularity exponents is performed for general cases, when this exponent lies within the interval (0,1). The procedure for an estimation of the general stress intensity factor for considered configuration is shown too. Here is suggested method which consider both types of stress singularities which exist in this case.

Formulation of the brittle failure conditions for composite bodies
Náhlík, Luboš ; Knésl, Zdeněk
A stability criterion based on generalized strain energy density factor for a crack terminating at the bi-material interface is suggested. The strain energy density distribution in the vicinity of the crack as well as the generalized stress intensity factors, and the crack propagation direction are calculated. The crack is oriented arbitrarily to the interface and both stress singularities around the crack tip are taken into account. The problem is solved by combination of analytical and numerical approaches. A numerical example of application of the proposed approach is presented.

STM/STS study of bimetallic nanostructures on silicon surfaces
Zimmermann, Petr ; Mysliveček, Josef (referee) ; Sobotík, Pavel (advisor)
In this study we examine linear nanostructures consisting of metals of III. (Al, In) and IV. (Sn) group on the Si(001)2×1 surface by means of scanning tunnelling microscopy & spectroscopy. Atoms on the surface align into atomic chains growing perpendicularly to the dimer rows of the surface reconstruction. The chain structure consists of dimers that adsorb in the troughs between the dimer rows of the surface reconstruction. We observe that the chains consist of sequences of homodimers of either elements combining with heterodimers. The InSn chain structure is analysed with regard to theoretical ab-initio calculations of the chain dimer structure. The model is then applied to the Al-Sn system. We observe that the Al-Sn chains tend to consist of aligned heterodimers. The appearance of heterodimers in STM depends on the chemical composition of the neighbouring dimers. We can also observe the tendency of chains to agglomerate and via Sn atoms create quasi periodic 2D structures. The electronic structure of an Al, Sn and mixed AlSn dimer is studied by means of tunnelling spectroscopy. Despite its small, nonzero density of states on the Fermi energy, the character of the mixed dimer appears to be rather non-conductive.

Logistics Chain of Flowers
Klusáková, Michaela ; Pernica, Petr (advisor) ; Jirsák, Petr (referee)
This Diploma Thesis deals with the logistics chain of flowers and its individual components. The aim is to characterize the whole chain of flowers and to describe its components - from the grower to the retailer - and to suggest options for streamlining, mostly from the ecological perspective. The influence of different means of transport and heated greenhouses on the environment is evaluated through carbon footprint calculations. Part of the work is also devoted to the characteristics of the flower industry in the Czech Republic. The thesis came to the conclusion that the best is to transport flowers by ship, it is good for their quality and the less harmful for the environment. The second best choice is rail, also with very good quality of flowers and then the road and airplane, which is still less harmful to the environment than growing flowers in heated greenhouses.
