Analysis of household and property insurance on the Czech market

Bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of household and property insurance on the Czech insurance market. The aim is to create a list of insurance companies providing this type of insurance and compare them. The first unit focuses on the theory, especially on general characteristics of household insurance, property insurance and liability insurance. The second unit focuses on insurance companies and their insurance products. The third unit contains information about the Czech insurance market and comparison of insurance products, using model examples. In conclusion there is evaluation of the information based on the created analysis.

The impact of the new Civil Code on liability insurance

On 1 January 2014 the new Civil Code, the most important piece of legislation, has come into effect. It is a part of large recodification of the Czech civil law. This thesis, "The impact of the new Civil Code on liability insurance", points out the most significant changes and the implications which effects, among others, the insurance sector. The first part of the thesis addresses mostly the theoretical concept of liability, the elemental preconditions of liability and methods of compensation for material and immaterial damage, including comparison of claim rights under former legal norm and the current legal norm. It also mentions the ambiguity in law in case of compensation for work-related injuries and occupational diseases. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to describing the process of implementation of the new Civil Code to operation of insurance companies from both legal and financial point of view. This includes evaluation of the impact of the changes on settlement of compensation claims for immaterial damage from the first available data. The third part is focused on the characteristics of liability insurance and its construction. It includes basic breakdown by legal bindings and a description of types of liability insurances. The conclusion contains overall assessment of liability insurance on the Czech insurance market.

Liability Insurance in Accordance with New Legislation

In 2014 a new Civil Code was adopted and many changes were connected to it. One of the most important changes were in the field of Liability insurance, especially changes in the compensation for damage and in the payment insurance settlement. Therefore the bachelor thesis deals with recodification of Civil Code impact on Liability insurance business by comparison of current legislation with the previous one. The practical part shows the impact of those changes of both insurance companies and business companies.

Dealing with the consequences of occupational injuries through insurance

This thesis is focused on the issue of occupational injuries, especially dealing with their consequences through insurance. The introduction deals with the issue of occupational injuries and occupational diseases and health and safety at work. The main part is dedicated to the current approach in dealing with the consequences of accidents at work by statutory liability insurance, it also outlines the historical development, characteristics of the system, including its pros and cons. Furthermore, I analyze the situation around the accident insurance, which should replace the existing system. In the final part I deal with other possible approaches of compensation for work injuries, especially compulsory liability insurance.

Pet insurance in the Czech insurance market

This bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of the pet insurance products on the Czech insurance market. The work consists of three, consecutive, parts. The introductory part discusses the general characteristics of the product, as well as its short history. The main part focuses in detail on the various offers of domestic insurance companies offering the pet insurance and also compare them. The last, practical part of the thesis includes a calculation of the prices for specific examples.

Settlement of health claims as part of automotive liability insurance

Development of the automobilism in 20th century caused raising of car accidents which induced higher damage to property and damage to health. Society attempts to minimalize the effect of these damages by using of liability insurance for damage caused by driving a vehicle. The goal of this thesis is to describe a process of settlement of a claim on health as a part of a liability insurance. This thesis contains issue for determination of liability car accident participants according to law, work of persons participating in inquiry of accident and adequate compesation calculation. Thesis also summarized content of laws which are necessary for work of investigators and their work is discribed in detail as well. Some examples of calculation of compesation claims are shown for better explaning of settlement of a claim on health.

Insurance products aimed at the insurance of atheles

This thesis is focused on insurance products which are associated with insurance for athletes. In the first part there are specified terms that are used for this insurance. The next section describing an accident insurance, the analysis offers insurance in the Czech Republic and illustration sports insurance in another European country. Contracts concluded between Czech sport unions and insurance companies are mentioned in next chapter. At the end the thesis focuses on the liability insurance and modern insurance products for golf players.

This work is focused on the analysis of products in motor insurance, it is divided into three parts. First part focuses on liability insurance for damage caused by vehicles, definition of liability insurance, legislative change, history of insurance and analysis of products liability insurance. Second part deals with accident insurance and analysis of products of this insurance and then analysis of additional insurance products. Third part deals with customer feedback survey on motor insurance.

The bachelor thesis titled "Possibilities of using insurance to cover damage during construction and assembly" is focused on the analysis of risks arising from investment work and characteristics of basic types of insurance, which cover these risks. There is a description of the current situation in the Škoda Auto a.s. Finally the work proposes solutions how to cover company's gaps in insurance or the alternative risk insurance. The purpose of this work is to assess the situation at Škoda Auto, or to indicate gaps in insurance of construction and assembly risks in the company's business and then highlight the findings.
