Agrotechnical demands for establishing growth of the selected annual and perennial energy crops
BÍNA, Martin
The aim of this dissertation is to verify the influence of certain agrotechnical procedures during the growing of selected annual and perrenial plants for use as energy sources. The chosen annual plant was maize (Zea mays L.) and the observed perrenial plant was (Miscanthus x giganteus). The literary overview is aimed at agrotechnical requirements, range of uses and the economic aspects of growing the chosen energy crops. The productive potencial of the chosen plants was then assessed on the basis of the individual agrotechnical procedures. The purpose of growing the plants was the creation of phytomass to be used as a raw material in biogas stations. Field tests were carried out for each plant, and the chosen agrotechnical procedures were then judged on the basis of the tests.
Organical chemicals from biomass
DOLEŽAL, David
This bachelor thesis deals with the processes of biomass as a renewable resource for the production of chemicals that could compete chemicals obtainable from fossil sources. Processing of biomass can be divided into two main approaches namely a thermochemical and biotechnological processing of biomass processes. This processing involves many processes such as hydrolysis, crushing, fermentation, combustion or high temperatures and pressures, and many other thermochemical or biotechnological processes associated with the nature of the structure of the biomass. As the most important products of biomass processing can be considered biofuels represented in my work mainly by ethanol, but also methanol and other organic chemicals such as furfural, levulinic acid and hydroxymethylfurfural derived from the processing of C5 and C6 sugars located in the fundamental structure of biomass. These organic chemicals can also serve as a chemical platform and subsequent modifications of them can get products with the same or very similar properties of the products of the petrochemical industry.
Effective use of phytomass in the protected area of the National Park Podyjí
FORMANOVÁ, Petra
The objective of the thesis is to evaluate the possibility of the effective use of waste and phytomass specifically grown for energy purposes in the protected area of National Park Podyjí. The task was to characterize the source of phytomass in this environmentally sensitive area. The data were collected by studying documents, visits to enterprises and institutions, and personal consultations with business and other stakeholders. The result of this work is a brief assessment of the production potential and the factors influencing its development. Due to the nature of the territory, to suggest measures for efficient use of land for the production of energy phytomass with regard to the attitudes of farmers and the authority of nature and landscape.
The design, verification of functionality and evaluation of the technological lines for the gathering in of reed canary-grass for energy purpose
VACEK, Martin
This bachelor's deals with designing of the technological line for processing of reed canary-grass. The theoretical part describes kinds of grasses with are utilized for purposed of energy. In the second part, there are explained technological parameters for growing and burning up of energy grasses. The practical part represents , the design of the technological line for the gathering in of reed canary-grass, The technical and technological requirements for mechanical eqiuipment and operations, The economical evaluation. In my own part, I directed my attention to time-consuming of each individual operation.
Assessment of use of graminoid stands for biogas production
RYCHTEROVÁ, Jana
The MSc. Thesis is part of project No. 2B06131 of the National Research Programme of the Czech Republic. The aim of the work was to assess selected herbaceous stands in repsct to their use for biogas production. A working hypothesis was set as follows: The biogas production per unit organic matter does not differ between biomass coming from different types of grasslands/biotopes. The results support the hypothesis. The sites studied were located in altitudes from 400 to 800 m a.s.l., water availavility ranged from mesexerophytic to hydrophytic conditions and nutrient availability ranged from mesooligotrophic to eutrophic conditions. According to plant species composition, the stands corresponded to stand types Alopecuretum pratense, Phalaridetum, Poetum pratense, Arrhenatheretum elatioris, Festucetum pratense and the ruderal stand type. In spite of these differences, biogass production estimated according to ZIFO was very similar for all stands, i.e. in a range of 518 {--} 546 NL biogas per kg organic substances in dry matter and had almost identical methan content. The results indicate that, in assessment of suitability of herbaceous stands for biogass production, biomass production is of greater importance than plant species composition.
Energy use of phytomass in the South Bohemia Region
NEJEDLÁ, Alice
This bachelor thesis focuses on energetic use of phytomass in the Southern Bohemia. There was identified real and potential production of biomass in the Czech Republic and in the Southern Bohemia. According to the information acquired from literature, internet and questionnairy research there was identified volume of use of energetic sources and biomass deliberately cultivated in Southern Bohemia for energetic use. The results of this research show that Czech Republic meets the commitment to cover 6% of energetic consumption by renewable energy source ? it even reached 8%. Southern Bohemia produces 4,5% of all renewable energy sources of the Czech republic. The research shows that there is a lack of biomass in the Czech Republic, that is why it must be produced by growing energy crops (PEP) and fast growing woods (RRD). Energy crops produces in the Czech Republic are: Sorrel Feed, Miscanthus Chinese, Knotweed, Reed Canary Grass, Hemp, Sorghum. As fast growing woods there are willows and poplars recommended. The most of the renewable energy sources in Southern Bohemia is represented by biomass and its combustion. Its potential is huge, mostly the waste of wood processing ? sawdust and wooden chips, is the most used fuel. Energetic use of biomass has a good perspective in Southern Bohemia. There is still unused waste from logging and straw in agricultural production. There is still hidden potential in growing energy crops and fast growing woods. The development is defended especially by economic reasons and state financial support.
Energetical use of phytomass
BLAHO, Milan
The objective of the thesis is proposing types of crops suitable for the production of phytomass for power purposes in low favourite areas (LFA). The assignment was summarising the source data for a broader set of power crops obtained from multiple authors primarily from the Czech Republic, and assessing their suitability for growing in LFA in areas sorted by environment requirements (soil, pH, weather conditions, vegetation period, resistance to frost, resistance to pests and diseases,{\dots}) and by production capability and energy parameters (yield, height of plants, combustion heat, caloric value, humidity, ash content, {\dots}) Field tests with suitable power crops were established and economic models were generated based on the results of the cultivation to demonstrate the possibilities of utilisation in reality
Use of plant biomass of selected wetland stands for energy production
BOUČKOVÁ, Šárka
The aim of my thesis was to present summary of methods how a biomass is being used in the Czech Republic. I focused especially on biogas produced from plant mass. The task was to find out whether growing plant biomass is sustainable in the long run from the energy perspective. Locality I chose to analyse is known as Mokré louky. This 450ha area is controlled by K + K Břilice - Gigant, spol. s r.o. and can be found near the town of Třeboň. This company provided me with detailed information I used to calculate energy budget. In respect to my calculation of the energy budget, the biogas production technology used in the locality of Mokré louky is economically feasible in the long. Moreover, when compared to corn silage used for biogas production which is also economically feasible in general, the costs are cut by half.
Production capability and growing specialities of selected energy plants
DVOŘÁK, Adam
Agriculture started the new way, instead of the food crops is icreased growing of energy crops. Thesis {\clqq}Production potencial and specificity of energy plant growing`` deals with evaluation of suitability of selected energy crops in field trials and theire needs of soil, clima and agrotechnology. The growth ability, health were evaluated during vegetation period and production potencial in harvest time in choosed group of energy crops. The thesis content also the seed quality, field germination and initial growth evaluated in conditions of anthropogenic soils.
