Geodynamic evolution and emplacement of Eisgarn - type granitoids (Moldanubian Batholith)
Paclíková, Jana ; Verner, Kryštof (advisor) ; Franěk, Jan (referee)
English abstract This diploma thesis deals mainly with identification of magmatic (respectively magnetic) fabrics, geodynamical aspects of emplacement and geochronology of the Eisgarn granitoids. For the analysis Klenov and Mrákotín pluton were chosen, which is placed in the eastern part of the Moldanubian Batholith. This thesis contains petrological and mezoscopic structural analysis of the host metamorphic rocks of the Moldanubian Unit and it includes calculation of P-T conditions of the main mineral assemblage. This is followed by petrological, geochemical and mezoscopic structural analysis of the Klenov and Mrákotín pluton and analysis of the anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility, geochronology of the Klenov pluton, gravimetry analysis and determination of the orientation of density interfaces in different depths. Granitoids of the Klenov and Mrákotín pluton are characterized as S-type granitoids, whose protolith were probably metasedimentary rocks. From the analysis it is also evident that the Klenov pluton records lower degree of magma fractionation than the Mrákotín pluton. The emplacement and crystallization of both studied magmatic bodies took place in cooperation with a development of regional metamorphic fabrics, which originate between 329 and 327 Ma. During this period a rapid exhumation of...
Adsorption of radionuclides in granite pores and micropores
Šindelář, Jakub ; Mls, Jiří (advisor) ; Šantrůček, Jaromír (referee)
Adsorption of radionuclides in granite pores and micropores ABSTRACT This graduation thesis deals with laboratory determination of adsorption isotherms parameters. Granite from the central moldanubian pluton, site Panské Dubenky, Czech Republic, was chosen to the experiment. The place is one of the candidate sites to build a deep nuclear waste disposal. A batch experiment was performed in two modes, differing in the way of addition of radioactive nuclide 90 Sr. From this experiment, distribution coefficients for a linear isotherm or parameters for Langmuir isotherm were obtained. Beside this, a through-diffusion experiment was performed. The objective of this experiment was to identify whether some of the radionuclides used (137 Cs, 90 Sr, 125 I) is able to penetrate through the pores of a granite slice barrier between two solutions of different concentrations. During the period of the experiment no radionuclide was detected reliably.
A brief introduction to the geology of the Moldanubian batholith
Verner, K. ; René, Miloš ; Žák, J. ; Janoušek, V.
Emplacement processes and tectonic setting of the Moldanubian batholith. The batholith consists of multiple intrusive units (plutons, stocks and dykes), predominantly composed of granitic to granodioritic rocks with either S- or transitional I/S-type.

Drainage water chemistry in geochemically contrasting catchments
Krám, Pavel ; Myška, Oldřich ; Čuřík, J. ; Veselovský, F. ; Hruška, Jakub
Three small forested catchments, each underlain by geochemically contrasting silicate rock types, were studied in the Slavkov Forest, western Czech Republic. Hydrochemical patterns were ascertained by concurrent stream water and soil water sampling. Th e catchments served as valuable representatives of contrasting terrestrial and aquatic ecosystem resilience to anthropogenic acidifi cation.
Vývoj metodiky identifikace a matematického modelování proudění a geochemické interakce v rozpukaném prostředí kompaktních hornin: Etapová zpráva Programu státní podpory výzkumu a vývoje MŽP za rok 2003
Česká geologická služba, Praha ; Drábek, M. ; Bláha, V. ; Breiter, K. ; Gabašová, A. ; Havíř, J. ; Kovář, L. ; Vohralík, M. ; Maryška, J. ; Severýn, O. ; Pačes, T. ; Rukavičková, L.
Cílem projektu je vývoj komplexní metodiky zjišťování a parametrického vyjádření proudění podzemní vody a geochemické interakce v puklinovém prostředí Českého masivu. Metodika zahrnuje metody terénního a laboratorního výzkumu a matematické modelování. Hlavní oblasti plánovaného výzkumu jsou 1. Terénní hydrodynamické a interferenční testy na výzkumných vrtech hlubokých cca 300 m. 2. Stanovení hydraulických, geologických a geochemických vlastností rozpukaných kompaktních hornin a podzemní vody na základě syntézy a analýzy výsledků terénních a laboratorních výzkumů. 3. Matematické modelování proudění a transportu v ucelené hydrogeologické struktuře puklinového prostředí granitového masivu s dvojí pórovitostí, s využitím výsledků terénního a laboratorního výzkumu.
Application of ultrasonic measurement of the granite specimen in laboratory conditions
Lednická, Markéta
This contribution describes ultrasonic measurement of the granite specimen in laboratory conditions. Instrumentation TICO was used for this experimental measurement on the rock. Changes in spreading velocities detect existence of fissure in the granit specimen.
Constraints of emplacement, evolution and exhumation of the Moldanubian batholith
René, Miloš
The emplacement of granitoids rocks of the Moldanubian batholith passed during two stages. During the first stage were emplaced granites and granodiorites of the Weinsberg type and two-mica granites of the Eisgarn type.
