Creation of the plan of care for locality Velky Kamen in Novohradske foothills

The Novohradske Mountains and their foothills belong in a group of well-preserved areas of the Czech Republic. The value of this area lies in its unimpaired landscape and in presence of cryogenic mesoforms of the landscape. The nature park Sobenovska Highlands ensures a widespread protection for the Novohradske Mountains. We can find some smaller protected areas too. They mostly exist in order to protect forest districts. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to project a plan of care for a nature sanctuary called Velky Kamen, including other parts of the landscape like cryogenic mesoforms as the object of protection. The work is divided into two basic sections - physical-geographic characteristicof Novohradske Mountains' foothills and the plan of care for the nature sanctuary Velky Kamen. Maps and photographs are included as supplements acquired during a field research in the key locality.

The natural monument Myslivna in the Novohradské Mountains, charakteristic, proposal of protection and plan of care

Annotation ŘEZNÍČKOVÁ, S., 2012. The natural monument Myslivna in the Novohradské Mountains, charakteristic, proposal of protection and plan of care. Bachelor Thesis. University of South Bohemia, Pedagogical faculty, Department of Geography. The Novohradské Mountains are with its untouched nature unique phenomenom. They are located in southeastern part of Šumavská upland. We can find there the oldest protected areas in the Europe: NPR Žofínský prales and NPP Hojná Voda. These areas belong to small-scale Particularly Protected Areas. This thesis processes Plan of Care -Proposal for Proclamation which deals with location calling Myslivna. Myslivna is charakterized by elements of inanimate nature, especially by periglacial mesoforms which occupy NNW-SSE and NW-SE slope of Myslivna and part of its surroundings. Te aim of this thesis is to describe the physical-geographical conditions of the intersting territory and to create plan of care - proposal for proclamation. This plan should be the material for announcement of natural monument Myslivna. This work is focused on protection of nature which is in this southeastern corner of the Novohradské Mountains undisturbed thanks to border zone that walked this way.

The proposal for a typology of protection the chosen and the most interesting cryogenic forms of relief in the Novohradské mountains

The Novohradské mountains are with its preserved landscape very unique. Their large-scale protection is ensured by the proclamation of a nature park. Some territories are included in the system of Natura 2000 ? Special Areas of Conservation and a large part of the Novohradské mountains was proclaimed within the scope of the system of Natura 2000 Special Protection Area. A small-scale protection is oriented only to protect alive nature. Except alive nature there are in the Novohradské mountains also significant places with elements of lifeless nature, which would also deserve the proclamation of a small-scale especially protected territory. The aim of my work was to choose the most interesting location with elements of lifeless nature ? cryogenic mesoforms and to decide about their typology of protection. After surveying some localities I have selected Kraví hora for which I have prepared a plan of care for the natural monument ? a proposal to publication. This work icludes also a brief physical-geographical characteristics of the interesting territory and the appendices in the form of maps and photographic images.
