Possibilities of detection of amount game damages by grazing in artifically established forest stands

Procedure for determination of input data in areas damaged by game grazing for the purpose of calculating the amount of damage caused by wild game according to Decree no. 55/1999 Coll. is not standardized. The article deals with the possibility of obtaining such input data in a schematic-based forest stands, particularly row plantations. The aim of this paper is to compare the reliability of input data obtained on the basis of counting all individuals on the injured area compared with the counting on the sampling plots - rows. This paper is part of the author's doctoral dissertation titled Standardization of expert detection amount of game damages to the forests.
Vliv intenzivního chovu zvěře na dřevinnou a bylinnou vegetaci v Oboře Loučná nad Desnou

The aim of this diploma thesis was to assess an influence of game on woody and herbal vegetation in Loučná nad Desnou game preserve. Monitoring was realized in 2014 on 14 monitoring areas according to ČERMÁK, MRKVA (2003) methodics. Total number 3491 individuals of six species were determined in monitoring areas. The most common was European beech Fagus sylvatica, sycamore maple Acer pseudoplatanus and Norway spruce Picea abies. There was also European ash Fraxinus excelsior, small-leaved lime Tilia cordata and silver birch Betula pendula. The most damaged species in natural regeneration was European ash, sycamore maple and small-leaved lime. The influence of game on herbal vegetation was evaluated on the pair organized vegetation reports along the game preserve plot, where the influece of game was visually evident in absence of shrub layer. There was not visible any obvious influence of herbal vegetation on all vegetation reports due to the game.
Okus dřevin při různých způsobech ošetření proti buřeni na LHC Střílky

This bachelor work "Damage of trees at different ways of protecting against weeds at LHC Střílky" examines the effectiveness of treatment for weed grazing on artificially regenerated stands. These damage caused by red deer mainly. For comparison, the authors also explored grazing on natural regeneration in designated transects, which allows us to observe the effect on various means of protection against natural way of recovery. Bachelor work also deals with not only biological, but also economics way. From the obtained results, mentions a proposal for the best solution in terms of the economy and also in terms of good growth cultures.
