Important plants in terms of pollen for bee-keeping in the spring and early summer in the northern area of the landscape Blanský les
ZÍDKOVÁ, Michaela
Bachelor work dealt with determination of important plants for bee-keeping from pollen loads and the importance of pollen in honeybee nourishment. Pollen loads were collected from one honeybee colony, which stands to the south from the village of Dobčice in Blanský les Protected Landscape Area. Natural reservations of Chrášťanský vrch and Vysoká Běta are in the distance of flying range from the colony. According to the pollen grains were detected taxons of Blanský les Protected Landscape Area?s flora in native preparates and estimated its importance from the point of view of honeybee nourishment in the stated region. The attention was given to the structure of vegetation in honeybee colony surroundings and the occurrence of important biotopes of pollen plants.
Function of honey-bee (Apis mellifera) in see industry of field crops.
PŠENIČKOVÁ, Zuzana
In this dissertation I am trying to point out the importance of the honeybee in the pollination of plants and the connection between the plant and the honeybee. In this dissertation I outline economic and ecological features of beekeeping and problems that beekeepers have to solve, some grants from the European Union that help to our beekeepers. Bioindication of man effect on environmental pollution by chemical pollutants (heavy metals) with the use of bees and their products (bee honey)
KOS, Václav
The main objective of my work was to evaluate if it is possible to use the honey bee - Apis mellifera as a bioindicator of the environmental contamination by heavy metals. Two areas were being compared. The first one was more affected by emission (The Capital city of Prague) and the second one was less hit by emission (The Highlands). During the course of three years five samples of bee honey were taken from each area. The analysis was made to show how much cadmium, lead and mercury the samples contained. In most samples higher concentration of these chemicals were dealt out in honey taken from the more polluted area. Although not all the concentrations of heavy metals in honey reflect the emission burden of the examined areas. It would be necessary to take samples from a larger number of areas in order to confirm the conclusion that bee honey is a suitable bioindicator of the environmental contamination by heavy metals.
