Spiritual themes in projective interventional art therapy

This Bachelor's thesis focuses on the topic of spirituality in projective interventional art therapy. In the theoretical part it describes the concept of spirituality and the common perception of it, and defines its developmental aspects. It points out the difference between spirituality and religion. It also studies spiritual topics in art and psychotherapy, and discusses the possibility of working with bibliotherapy and hagiotherapy. The practical part examines pieces of art supplied by adult respondents which were given a topic related to spirituality (e.g. Adam and Eve or a nativity scene). The art pieces are examined by certain criteria and then put into the context of usability for purposes of art therapy and the persons needs for higher purpose.
Reflection of sibling relationship in art production

The bachelor thesis explores the possibilities of using art therapy elements in the relationships between siblings. The work is divided between a theoretical and a practical section. The theoretical part defines nuances in siblings' relationships, siblings' constellations, and fairytales. The work focuses on the fairytale Gingerbread house, which provides a base point for the fieldwork with respondents. The tale's history and interpretation potential are explored. The practical section provides an overview of the art therapy fieldwork with 5 respondents. It describes the used data collection methods and elaborates on instructions given to respondents for their individual artwork. In the section dedicated to case studies, 4 respondent cases are explored. It aggregates information collected during the interviews with respondents and compares them to the content, that is possible to find in their paintings.
Art therapy in foster family: Art therapy as a tool of social worker when working with foster family

This bachelor's thesis introduces the possibilities of incorporating art therapy techniques and topics into case work. The author presents some specifics of foster care and presents insight into guidance of foster families. The thesis briefly discusses the history and present of foster care, mentions the issue of child and family adaptation and focuses, among other things, on the early trauma and psychosocial deprivation of the foster child and the reflection of trauma and psychological hardship in the child's artistic creation. The author used art therapy as a tool of the case worker to support communication in the foster family and to build a positive identity of the adopted child. In the practical part, the author presents concrete examples of incorporating art therapy into case work with the foster family, and above all with a foster child - innovative work with the so-called Book of Life (Kniha zivota in czech). The thesis investigates, among other things, whether early trauma and psychosocial deprivation are reflected in the development of adopted children and whether the mitigation of trauma due to the influence of the family environment is evident. The thesis also outlines the issue of biological children in a foster care and looks for distinctiveness in their artistic expression.
Use of methods of music therapy and art therapy in the care of children with physical and multiple disabilities.

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the methods of music therapy and art therapy, which are used in the care of children with physical and combined disabilities. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the historical development of music therapy and art therapy. Furthermore, the individual methods of work used in the above-mentioned therapies, which are currently applied, are characterized. Within each therapy, one method used in the treatment of children is described in more detail below. The theoretical part further characterizes a child with a physical and combined disability, and in connection with this describes the care that is provided to these children. The practical part defines the goals and research questions of the work and describes its methodological side. The results of the research survey, which took place at the ARPIDA center in České Budějovice, are interpreted here through observation of therapeutic sessions and interviews with therapists. Within music therapy, it is a description of the structure of a group therapeutic meeting, the principles of working with children with physical or combined disabilities and their subsequent implementation in practice, which is described on the example of one therapeutic thematic unit. I also work with a harmonizing bed, which is another method of music therapy, but individual, the method of music therapy for children with physical or combined disabilities. In the field of art therapy, there are examples of specific aids used in the therapy of children with physical or combined disabilities and there are also described individual art therapy techniques that are used in working with children.
The application of relaxation techniques at elementary school

This diploma thesis focuses on the employment of relaxation techniques in primary school teaching and the particular relaxation techniques. The aim of the thesis is to find out what relaxation techniques are used by teachers in primary schools teaching and which defferences can be found in the use of relaxation techniques according to specific type of school. Semi-structured interview, participant observation and data analysis are used for the reset of the research.
The importance of fairy tales for children in elementary school - analysis of selected stories

This bachelor's thesis aims to explore the effect of fairy tales on adolescent pupils in primary school. Theoretical part concerns about meaning of fairy tales, symbols,romani culture and children's art. Practical part contains research of school children's art, its interestingness and of similarities and differences in children's artistic expression. Twenty 7th grade pupils from two different classes participated in the research, with one class having history of good marks while the other consists of romani children with bad marks, who repeated a year. In the conclusion part the results of the research and of children's art analysis are summarized.
Spirituality in art therapy

This bachelor thesis deals mainly with spirituality. Spirituality is the key theme which is included in this work, especially in the connecting view between art therapy and spirituality. It also explains other connections between spirituality and therapies and helping professions in general. The thesis also deals with other themes such as theology, regionistics, religion in the postmodern era. The work consists of two parts; the theoretical part discusses and describes aforementioned problematics. In contradistinction to the first part, the second practical part tries to gain insight into the deeper connection between spirituality and arttherapy through art in form of collages, which are interpreted and described in the terms of the connection with spirituality.
Theme of Red Riding Hood created by students of art therapy

The thesis deals with theme of Red Riding Hood in production of students or absolvents of Art-therapy atelier PF JČU. The thesis is theoretically based on the theme of the story, symbol and analytical possibilities of interpretation of the story. The author works by using qualitative research methods. For purposes of this work the tale has been split into phases according to the story. The work also describes which characters and motives appear in collected artefacts. The research also offers possibilities how to interpretatively work with the story and how to use it in the practice. The work is also enriched with a case work of an concrete author.
The concept of family among children from broken families

My bachelor thesis The concept of family among children from broken families is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is based on analysis of literature and other sources. It deals with the psychological impact of the family on children first in a wider context, subsequently only by the effect of divorce on shaping the children's social network. I will use the practical part to analyze the child's experience, from their paintings, which I will parse. The practical part is processed by the form of an unstructured interview with children about his creation and subsequent picture analysis.
The use of Art Therapy with children in primary education

This bachelor thesis concerns the possibilities of using art therapy with children of younger school age. It is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part contains three main chapters. The first chapter aims at the particularities of younger school age. It defines the period of younger school age and focuses on its characteristics. The second chapter deals with the stages of development of children's artistic expression. And the third chapter is devoted to the art therapy activities with children of younger school age. The practical part describes the long-term art therapy work with a group of children of younger school age. It assesses selected art techniques, suitable topics and their use. In case study it concentrates on the description of the changes in the art expression of one pupil in connection with the possible changes in their behaviour.
