TV Distribution Network Signal Analyzer
Matyáš, Pavel ; Šebesta, Jan (referee) ; Povalač, Aleš (advisor)
Aim of this project is development of the analyser for cable distributed television signals. At the beginning is a block diagram of the suggested analyser with digitally controled wideband tuner, logarithmic detector, microcontroller and a graphical display module. For each block there is a theoretical analysis, features description and description of the electronic components that were used. In the next part of this project is introduced the design of circuit schematic and printed circuit board of prototyping kit, that was used for experiments and testing of its features and parametres. Last part of this thesis focuses on finishing of a prototyping kit, development of firmware and experimental verification of the prototype's parameters.
Systems for remote measurement in power engineering
Hudec, Lukáš ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Mišurec, Jiří (advisor)
The work deals with the measurement and management in power. Provides an introduction to the problems of remote meter reading, management, and describes the current situation in the field of modern technologies Smart metering and Smart grids. It also analyzed the issue of collection of networks and data collection from a large number of meters over a wide area. For the purpose of data transmission are described GPRS, PLC, DSL, ... Further, there are given options to streamline communication. This area is used hierarchical aggregation. Using k-means algorithm is a program designed to calculate the number of concentrators and their location in the group of meters. The finished program is written in Java. It has a graphical interface and shows how the calculation is conducted. To verify the results of the optimization program is given simulation model in OPNET Modeler tool. Audited results are described in the conclusion and can deduce that using the optimization program is to streamline communications.
Magnetic multilayers for spintronics applications
Vaňatka, Marek ; Dvořák, Petr (referee) ; Urbánek, Michal (advisor)
Magnetic multilayers have applications as magnetic field sensors or magnetic memory cells. Mastering the methods of fabrication and characterization of the structures such as spin valve or magnetic tunnel junction is an important step towards more complicated spintronics devices. This work summarizes basic theory of magnetism, magnetotransport properties, and it describes basic applications of magnetic multilayers. The experimental part of this work deals with the sample preparation by ion beam sputtering (IBS), ion beam assisted deposition (IBAD), and characterization of prepared multilayers by measuring anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR), giant magnetoresistance (GMR), or tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR).
