Sustainable and Responsible Tourism in South Bohemia

The main aim of this thesis is to apply the principles of sustainability and responsibility in the South Bohemian region as a tourism destination in relation to Chinese clients and related problems with the subsequent use of modern methods and trends for the development of tourism destination with regard to sustainable and responsible tourism.
Hunting - educational program for secondary level of primary schools

In this theses there was suggested the learning program covering the topic of gamekeeping and pupils of the ninth grade of the elementary school were tested on this topic. In total 196 pupils from 7 elementary schools from the South Bohemian region took part of the testing. The test had a form of non-standardized didactical test. The test efficiency was checked by the system of pretests and posttests (pupils took the best before and after the learning programme) in three different elementary school classes. The results show that pupils have a basic knowledge of gamekeeping and that the participation in the learning programme broadened this knowledge even further.
Breeding of dog - educational program for secondary level of primary schools

In the framework of the bachelor thesis, an educational program on the topic of a domestic dog breeding was designed. At the same time, the knowledge of this topic was verified by pupils of the 9th grade of primary schools. A total of 157 pupils from five schools and one multi-year grammar school in South Bohemia was tested. Participants were tested through a non-standardized didactic test. Moreover, the effectiveness of the training program was verified in two ninth grade of primary schools and in one class of a multi-year grammar school using a pretest system - posttest, so the pupils were given a test before and after about two weeks. From the results of the work is clear that pupils have a basic awareness of the domestic dog breeding, but after the completion of the teaching program, there has been seen a visible improvement in their knowledge.
Coollaboration of Stakeholders in a Tourism Destination

The aim of the thesis Collaboration of Stakeholders in a Tourism Destination is to evaluate the level and intensity of cooperation in tourism in the South Bohemian Region from the perspective of key stakeholders in the destination, including the management and development relationship of tourism in the destination. In the first part of the research, the information concerning the destination management and marketing, the stakeholders and their cooperation was obtained with the help of secondary data. For the collection of secondary data, printed literature and websites were mainly used in connection with the selected tourism destination - the South Bohemian Region. Based on the findings from the literature and other secondary sources, the collection of primary data was planned in the form of a questionnaire survey. It has become clear that the destination marketing organizations, which best meet the attributes of power, legitimacy and urgency, are the key stakeholder. According to the research, it was found out that the cooperation between the public and private sectors is significantly inadequate. There are several major obstacles that prevent effective cooperation among the particular stakeholders. To improve the cooperation, it is necessary to streamline the communication between the organizations and other stakeholders and to plan a project within the tourism industry, which will help with the cooperation among as many stakeholders as possible.
Animal Assisted Activity and Animal Assisted Therapy with Dog providing in South Bohemia Region

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to describe the practice of animal assisted activities and animal assisted therapies with dog (used methods, techniques, aids, benefits, financing, staffing, documentation, involvement of a social worker) providing in children with disabilities in social services in South Bohemian Region. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a research part. The theoretical part contains 3 chapters - Animal Assisted Activity and Animal Assisted Therapy with Dog, Disability and Animal Assisted Activity and Animal Assisted Therapy with Dog in the Context of Social Services for People with Disabilities. The research section identified two main research questions HVO1 and HVO2 and two sub-research questions DVO1 and DVO2. The research was carried out in the form of a qualitative survey using the semi-structured interview technique. For the interviews, a record sheet was created with questions divided into 6 categories. The interviews were conducted with four canistherapy communicators who were selected on the basis of a purposeful quota selection. Research has shown that canistherapy in selected facilities is most often in group form once every 14 days. The most commonly used canistherapy methods are dog-assisted activities, and the most common techniques include dog brushing, positioning, walking with a dog on a leash and ball throwing. The involvement of a social worker in canistherapy involves participation in canistherapy itself, communication with a canisterapeut, and in the mediation of canistherapy. The results of the research can serve as feedback to providers of outpatient social services where the research was carried out. Furthermore, it is relevant for volunteers with dogs and those interested in the issue of animal assisted activities and animal assisted therapies with dog from the professional and general public.

This bachelor thesis is focused on development of ice hockey in South Bohemia. Ice hockey is very popular sport in our country and in recent decades, this sport changes lives. This thesis is primary focused on history of ice hockey in cities Czech Budweis and Pisek. Captures not only development of clubs, but also events that made history. The goal is to demonstrate how were those events of clubs in South Bohemia presented in periodicals and in other types of modern media.
Agritourism as a contribution to employment in rural areas

This diploma thesis deals with the study of the impact of agro-tourism on employment in rural areas. At first deals with the description of tourism, its basic species and forms. However, the greatest attention is paid to agrotourism, its history, development, negatives and positives, its significance and possible types. The following chapters are aimed at defining rural areas, describing subsidies that help to develop rural areas and also describing the diversification and multifunctionality of agriculture. At the end of the theoretical part of the thesis is characterized the issue of employment, unemployment, its causes and impacts. It also provides information on the multiplying effect and the impact of tourism and agro-tourism on employment. The analytical part of the thesis is focused on the contribution of agro-tourism to employment in rural areas. The data needed for this analysis was obtained by means of a questionnaire survey conducted in the South Bohemian Region in agro-tourism farms and in the municipality where the farms belong. The result is that agro-tourism farmers provide other people with jobs on their farms, and thus partly contribute to the employment of the municipality. However, the greatest impact on the number of jobs offered by farms has a season. Agrotourism farms and their activities contribute to the overall development of rural areas, to a greater or lesser extent. And at a certain level they are also involved in the employment of rural municipalities.
Usage of New Technologies for Development of a Tourism Destination

The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with themes of modern technologies usable in tourism, management and development of a tourism destination and geographical information systems. The practical part of the thesis is concerned with a concept of less visited monument from four categories (castle, chateau, monastery, town and town wall) in the area of the South Bohemian region, the Vysočina region and the region Waldviertel in Lower Austria, whose target is increasing the attendance and publicizing the chosen monuments. The target of the diploma thesis is to characterize a manner of usage ICT for the management and development of the tourism destination, to identify opportunities due to situational analysis and to propose application of chosen technology for increasing competitiveness of South Bohemia as a tourism destination. Through the geographical information systems as a chosen technology the usage of maps for the management and development of the tourism destination is shown. The outcome is a proposal of several geographic and thematic products (routes).
Management of tourism development in the South Bohemian Region

This diploma thesis is focused on the current state of management and organization of tourism in the South Bohemian region and on finding the current offer of tourism products in the context of the development of destination management and marketing. The theoretical part defines the applied theory, related to the solved topic. Primary data was obtained from managed interviews with product managers of South Bohemian tourist areas and from an interview with the director of the South Bohemian Tourism Authority. Secondary data was drawn from websites of individual tourist areas, from www.jiznicechy.cz and from many prospectuses. In the practical part, the tourism management organization applied in the Czech Republic was compared with the organization in selected foreign destinations. As well as an analysis of individual tourist areas was carried out. On the basis of the conducted analyzes and primary research, measures and recommendations were proposed to support the development of destination management and increase the competitiveness of the South Bohemian Region.
VARIANTS OF REILLY'S MODEL IN THE STUDY OF SETTLEMENT SYSTEM OF SOUTH BOHEMIAN REGION

The bachelor thesis deals with the application of Reilly's model on the settlement system of South Bohemian Region. The theoretical aspect focuses on treatment of the issue of the settlement system and gravity models, with an emphasis on Reilly's model. The specific focus of the research is municipalities with extended competences in the South Bohemian Region. Their significance in the settlement system is first calculated by the method of theoretical spatial interactions, subsequently regionalised catchment area of selected centers based on basic and calibrated version of the Reilly´s model. The results of the research are graphically represented by map outputs and summary tables. The synthesis focuses on comparison of the model regions and administrative divisions, with formation of suitable model variants.
