Study of possibilities of reduction of volume changes and development of hydration temperatures in concrete
Pikna, Ondřej ; Ťažký, Tomáš (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
Volume changes are one of the priority characteristics of concrete that plays an important role place mainly in the durability of structures as such. These low volume changes are required especially for structures as: industrial concrete floors, massive structures and waterproof structures. One of the possibilities in reducing these changes is the use of mineral admixtures with suitable grain curve of aggregate. Another possibility is the use of shrinkage reducing admixtures. There can occur problem with efficiency (long term age) with other components of the mixture. Therefore, the effort of this work is to use the avaible processes for maximum reduction of shrinkage and hydration temperatures.

The development of composite material system with focus on matrix for extreme conditions
Gratclová, Kamila ; Gross,, Tomáš (referee) ; Bydžovský, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with composite systems, with a focus on matrix resistant to extreme conditions. The aim of this work was to research and development matrix, resistant to high temperatures, typical in case of fire. Used theoretical knowledge were realized with subsequent laboratory research. Attention was paid matrices based binder mixed with any alkali activation of alternative raw materials and geopolymers. Scattered reinforcement featured polypropylene fibers. The subject of the practical part of the two alternatives, including a matrix based on basic ingredients - cement, alternative raw materials - high fly ash, blast furnace slag, geopolymer and polymeric components incl. combinations thereof. Laboratory research conducted by determining the fundamental material properties such as density, strengths, etc., after heat exposure. The developed materials were subjected to a temperature 1400 ° C. The conclusion was selected several recipes that were based on the resulting values found to be optimal.

Change in the durability of concrete made of recycled concrete by alternative addition of ceramic admixtures
Stavař, Tomáš ; Hoffmann, Oldřich (referee) ; Stehlík, Michal (advisor)
The master thesis dealing with problematic about durability of concrete, with use of recycled concrete and addition of silica additions. Predominant for resistance of concrete constructions is surface layer, through which aggressive gasses and liquids penetrate from surrounding environment. The most important indicator of concrete durability is ability of surface layer transmissions of aggressive substants. In experimental part will be defined the actual state of surface layer by normal testing methods. The transmissions of surface layer will be tested on concrete cubes. Tests for transmissions of air (method TORRENT), of water (method ISAT), of acid gases (dept of carbonation by quick test in 98% CO2) will be carried out and also strength tests. Assessment of positive or negative influence of additions and amount of cement on durability and mechanical properties of concrete will be discussed in conclusion.

Electrodes for lithium-ions batteries based on LiCoO2
Nejedlý, Libor ; Čech, Ondřej (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with electrodes for lithium-ions batteries based on LiCoO2. The first part of the project is devoted to the characteristics of Li-ion batteries, electrochemical reactions and characteristics of electrode materials. The next part describes an experiment that deals with the effects of NA doping on performance of layered materials for lithium secondary batteries. The materials were measured by cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy and galvanostatic cycling.
