The assessment of the succes of species in regional seed mixtures in the restoration of meadows in Bílé Karpaty mountains
MONTAGOVÁ, Zdeňka
The aim of the study was to assess succes of some plant species in restoration of species rich meadows in Bílé Karpaty mountains. The meadows were sown with regional seed mixtures. It also deals with a diversity of the growths old 1 till 8 years and its relation to environmental conditions.
Comparison of vegetation on ski slopes with artificial or natural snow in CHKO Bílé Karpaty and CHKO Beskydy
KOCKOVÁ, Jitka
Vegetation cover of 24 ski slopes both with artificial and natural snow was studied; on each slope 5 phytocenological relevés measuring 4 x 4 metres were taken. A method of direct gradient analysis (RDA) was used to detect differences in composition of phytocenological reléves on the ski slopes with natural or artificial snow. However, no impact of use of artificial snow on vegetation was identified. During the winter season of 2009 and of 2010 samples of artificial and natural snow were taken for chemical analyses. The chemical composition differed significantly; artificial snow contained more NO3-, SO42- and Ca2+ ions and its pH was more alkaline in comparison with natural snow.
The effect of landscape context on the restored meadows in the White Carpathians
ČERNÁ, Ivana
Methods suitable for restoration of dry grassland were reviewed. An index of isolation was calculated for each of 34 meadows in the White Carpathians, which were restored by sowing the regional seed mixtures in the course of the past ten years. The relationship between the isolation, the year of regrassing and the number of newly established target species by the spontaneous succesion was studied.
Monitoring of vegetative regeneration of meadow plant species after mowing: quantitative phenology of selected species from spring to autumn
MARTINCOVÁ, Kateřina
The thesis is about the timing of phenophases of species. Research was carried out on two contrasted meadows (wet and dry). Meadows were situated in localities Ohraze-ní and Bílé Karpaty. The aim was obseved the timing of phenophases in mown and unmown parts of meadows. And how mowing affect growth of species during the season. The next aim was monitored grow shoot biomass before and after mowing.
THE GROWTH AND SEASONAL CHANGES OF CARBOHYDRATE STORAGE OF MOLINIA ARUNDINACEA
FIKOTOVÁ, Ludmila
Molinia arundinacea is a dominant tussock grass, which often determinate the vegetation structure of species rich meadows. The aim of this thesis is to describe both growth and carbohydrate dynamic of this species during the vegetation season.
