Possibilities how the support the family of a newborn with developmental risk
ZIKEŠOVÁ, Ivana
This diploma thesis deals with the issues of a family of a newborn with a developmental risk. The theoretic part deals with the most common problems endangering the healthy development of a newborn, also with family and the process of coping with the crisis. Further on, it deals with possibilities of family support during their stay in hospital and also after the baby has been discharged into home care, using the support of non-health care groups. The objective of the diploma thesis was to detect possibilities of psycho-social support for the family of a newborn with a developmental risk. The thesis answers questions of, how parents feel in this situation after the birth of their child, during its stay in hospital and subsequently after the discharge into home care, what kind of support services they use to help them manage this period. Further on it deals with questions of whether the information of support options is sufficient and whether this support system works from the parent?s perspective. This diploma thesis was processed on a basis of qualitative survey results. The questioning method of half-format with parents was used and the method of document summary analysis. The investigated samples were parents of ten children treated in The Developmental Care Unit of Neonatology ward in the hospital of České Budějovice a.s. During the hospitalization of the child, it is important, that the medical team communicates openly, gives well timed and clear information and allows direct involvement in the child care. The outcome of this investigation points out the important role of the partner, family and friends as the main source of support. Also sharing feelings and needs with other parents is rand as a considerable source of support. However, the mothers especially, miss this sharing opportunity after their baby has been discharged into home care. Another interesting outcome is the absence of a psychologist, who specializes in newborn matters as an important source of support for parents. The survey shows, how important the psychosocial support is for parents, not just during hospitalization, but also after the discharge of their baby. Whereas they feel that the healthcare service is adequate, they especially miss the psychosocial support after the discharge from hospital. This is especially true of families of babies with developmental risk, without any serious health problem. Listed subjects could be used by professionals dealing with care of newborn with developmental risk, who provide complex care for families of the children with perinatal condition. Therefore, specialized psychological help should be an evident part of the care provided. The hypothesis were determined on the basis of qualitative survey results, which could be verified by further investigation:Hypothesis 1: For mothers of a newborn with developmental risk it is important to get help in the framework of supporting parental groups.Hypothesis 2: After the discharge of their child into home care, parents would appreciate psychosocial support in the framework of outpatient service.

FENCLOVÁ, Lucie
The present time is characterized by postponement of marriage and birth of children. An increasing number of children born to unmarried mothers, despite low rates of marriage is increasing divorce rate. Experts are unable to give a uniformed interpretation of the cause of these changes, and therefore are not able to predict future trends or progression. The main objective of this work is to determine the attitudes of students of Faculty od Health and Social Studies University of South Bohemia to marriage and parenthood. This research was also designed to reveal whether they prefer married cohabitation, cohabitation or frequent phenomenon singles today. Examine whether the proponents of parenthood at a young age, or whether parenthood postponed to a later age in which it will be able to feel secure and economically self-sufficient. I wondered the views of students, mainly because the agents for change in the areas of marriage and parenthood are primarily young people, and therefore require increased attention. It will be they who will decide whether Czech families prioritize work and career before family and children or not. The present work describes the different views on the issue of marriage and parenthood, which is currently a hot topic. The theoretical section compares the entry into marriage and the opportunity to be a parent in terms of both demographic, legal and sociological terms. This section offers here comparsion to the complete picture of the topic and a chance to see the work from different views. These views are at work set in a deeper context, together with the history and comparison of various alternatives marriage and parenthood. This part is mainly based on professional publications that are related to this busy topic and which are working with current research in this area and is also supplemented by foreign resources dealing with this issue. In this work are characterized words like marriage, parenthood, cohabitation and family. For research were taught two hypotheses were verified during the investigation. The first hypothesis was: Marriage as the value of the target population loses its value preference towards cohabitation. The second hypothesis was: In relation to gender in the target population as a matter of priorities presented the concept of a successful marriage. Research was conducted quantitative data collection methods. Data required for the preparation of this thesis was obtained secondary data analysis, which was to map the positions on these hot topics chosen method questionnaire as a technique through which I was able to target and evaluate the testing of hypotheses. The questionnaire included a total of 16 questions and was distributed electronically. Statistical test hypotheses that provide clear results of unchecked hypotheses was used to increase the credibility. The research suggests that marriage is still an important value to life ranking of young people and that this institution certainly is not going to change for unmarried couples. Hypothesis number one is therefore not confirmed. The study also came out that the priorities presented the concept of a successful marriage is for men and women, without significant difference, and so neither the hypothesis number two were not confirmed as well. The research revealed that students planning to get married and to have children, but these two events are shifted to a later age, in the age when they will have studies completed and will be self-sufficient, financially secured and emotionally matured. The importance of marriage, according to them were supposedly mainly the advantage safer facilities, legal certainty and economic guarantees, not only for the partners themselves but also for their children. The research also showed that marriage and parenthood is always attached great importance and these two vital steps for students still have a high value to life in a unique place.

PROKŮPKOVÁ, Jana
This thesis deals in it?s theoretical part with the changing of social role of women in the course of human existence and history of the feminist movement. It observes the differences between men and women from three perspectives: biological, psychological, sociological, and on their basis reveals their properties for which individuals choose the preference of life partner. Thesis also focuses on the labor market situation in terms of gender. In the practical part, based on interviews with 10 men and 10 women, I evaluate the views at how men see the role of women in society and also as well how women themselves see their role. At first I found out how the household in which the respondents grew up in work in the division of daily tasks, how they want their own households to work (or as they works) and then I compared the results. Then I focused on qualities and skills which are in interviews attributed to women and men, what´s the position of women in the labor market in their opinion or why the number of divorces is constantly increasing and why the age for starting a family is increasing as well. The work affects not only the view of men of women's social mission, but also the view of women themselves in the light of expectations that men (and society) have towards to women.

Attitude of unmarried young women to the issue of unwanted parenthood and abortion
CIPÍNOVÁ, Dagmar
The issue of abortions raises a number of conflicting opinions. Although women in the western society can use methods of a birth control, there are still unwanted pregnancies ending in the abortion. This intervention is legal in our society, but many people condemn it. Based on my diploma thesis I therefore wanted to ascertain opinions and attitudes of contemporary young women to the issue of an unwanted parenthood and abortions. I was primarily interested whether their opinions were influenced by a level of their education attainment. In relation to the aim of my thesis one of two determined hypotheses was confirmed. The research showed that an opinion of unmarried young women to this issue was not influenced by their education. Most women think that the right to undergo the abortion has every woman no matter what her reason is. Though, at the same time women perceive the intervention as a desperate solution of a hopeless situation, which they would undergo only from compelling reasons such as for example health problems or a pregnancy after the rape. Economic and social reasons are no longer a sufficient argument for them.
