Possibilities of physiotherapy for chronic overtrain of ski jumpers locomotory system
LATZKOVÁ, Darina
This bachelor thesis deals with possibilities which physiotherapy offers to ease chronic overstrain of locomotor system of ski jumpers and it is especially focused on children of younger school age. Ski jumping is an individual sport of acyclic character whose main aim is to perform a technically correct ski jump as long as possible. Big demands are placed on locomotor system in the process of reaching this result. Big load and strain on locomotor system can lead to formation of muscular dysbalance or functional disorders deteriorating stability, coordination and performance of the sportsman and on the other hand they increase the risk of fall and a subsequent injury of the ski jumper. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part represents theoretical findings, e.g. what ski jumping is, the history of the sport and analysis of particular phases of a ski jump which follow one another from kineziologic point of view. The theoretical part contains summary findings about locomotory system overloading with subsequent formation of functional disorders and suggesting concrete general and also specific methods used in therapy. The second, practical part represents the method of qualitative research. The research was based on case interpretation containing collecting anamnestic figures of a patient, preliminary analysis and suggestion of short-term therapeutic plan, the process of particular therapies and subsequent final analysis, general evaluation of the therapy and suggesting a long-term therapeutic plan. Collecting figures was pursued through interviews with patients and coaches, during observation and obtaining anamnesis and kineziologic examinations. The examined team was formed by three ski jumpers from the Sports Club in Nové Město na Moravě. The therapy went on three times a week for three months. Twice a week there was autotherapeutic exercise and once a week there were meetings in the grammar school gymnasium or rehabilitation department in Nové Město na Moravě. Techniques of soft tissues, mobilization, gentle traction, joint centration, post-izometric relaxation, stretching and breathing exercises, deep stabilization system activation, elements of the school of the back, exercises for flatfeet, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, sensomotoric stimulation, kinesio taping, elements from dynamic neuromuscular facilitation, Klapps crawls exercises and brace exercises according to Roswithy Brunkow were used during the therapy. The aim of the thesis was to deal with the problem of ski jumpers locomotory system overstraining from the point of view of physiotherapy and suggesting possibilities of concrete methods of kineziotherapy and physiotherapy as the prevention of injuries and overstrain. The results show that the chosen therapeutic system more or less positively influenced the condition of the three patients. The hypertonic cervical muscles was reduced, some shortened muscles mostly of lower limbs were treated, slight strengthening of lower fixator muscle of scapulas as well as of longitudinal and transverse foot arch led to better postural position and reduced muscular dysbalance. The possibility to influnce chronic overstrain of locomotor system of ski jumpers is real but it needs long-term and intensive training. The worked out material can help education and better orientation in this field not only physiotherapy students but also coaches and ski jumpers themselves.

The readiness of nurses to provide specific nursing care the Department of Neurosurgery
ČEŠKOVÁ, Jana
The topic of the bachelor thesis is the preparedness of nurses for the provision of specific nursing care at a neurosurgical ward, and the thesis aims to ascertain whether the nurses who have just completed their studies are prepared for the work at one of specialized wards, namely at neurosurgery. The thesis consists of a theoretical and research part. The theoretical part is focused on the basic anatomy and physiology of the neurological system, the most frequent examination methods and the care before and after a surgery. It also focuses on neurosurgical diseases and the associated nursing care. The last fifth subchapter of the theoretical part addresses the education of nurses. The research part enlightens this issue as viewed by the students studying the branch ?General Nurse? at the Faculty of Health and Social Studies of the University of South Bohemia (ZSF JU) in České Budějovice and as viewed by the nurses working at the neurosurgical ward in Nemocnice České Budějovice a.s. (Hospital of České Budějovice) and the Central Military Hospital in Prague. The first objective of the thesis was to ascertain the knowledge of students of the branch ?General Nurse? concerning the provision of specific nursing care at a neurosurgical ward, and for this purpose we have raised the following hypotheses: 1. The students of ZSF JU possess knowledge of the provision of specific nursing care at a neurosurgical ward. 2. The students are able to communicate with the patients who underwent a brain surgery. The second objective of the thesis was to ascertain any differences in the preparedness of nurses for the provision of specific nursing care at selected neurosurgical wards or clinics, and the following research questions were raised for better orientation: 1. How does the process of induction training of nurses at a neurosurgical ward look like? 2. How does the process of induction training of nurses at a surgical ward look like? 3. What is a difference in the induction training at a surgical and neurosurgical ward? It follows from the research that the nurses who have just completed their studies do not have sufficient information for the work at a neurosurgical ward if their highest attained education is secondary or university bachelor education. The students of ZSF JU studying the branch ?General Nurse? should have more information about this specific nursing care at a neurosurgical ward. The results of the research have been summarized in the manual for the lecturers teaching ?Nursing Care in Surgical Branches? at the Faculty of Health and Social Studies, which specifies what the students of the neurosurgical branch lack.

General Awareness of Stalking at the Faculty of Health and Social Care, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice
VONDRŮ, Mirka
Stalking or a dangerous pursuit is considered to be a specific form of violence. Its main feature is that an offender clamps to a known or unknown person who he persecutes by an unsolicited and unwanted attention. Currently, stalking is a current issue of policy and legislation. The bachelor thesis deals with problems of stalking and domestic violence. Key findings and current information on stalking and domestic violence are summarized in the theoretical part. In the practical part there is presented an awareness of these issues, which students from Faculty of Health and Social Studies of South Bohemian University have. An aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out the awareness of students from Faculty of Health and Social Studies of South Bohemian University on stalking and domestic violence. This hypothesis was determined in accordance with the goal: ?Students of higher grades will be better informed on stalking than students of lower grades.? This hypothesis was disproved. The research was carried out quantitatively, a method of interviewing was used, a technique of a survey. The research sample consisted of students from Faculty of Health and Social Studies of South Bohemian University in České Budějovice. The research showed that students from Faculty of Health and Social Studies of South Bohemian University were informed on stalking and domestic violence. Despite this predication, however, I believe, that the general public is not sufficiently informed on these issues. It is possible to increase the public awareness by an enlightenment, which should be oriented above all to pupils of elementary and secondary schools. A benefit of this thesis I see especially in a better awareness of students on these current topics. Furthermore, even in a possibility of using the obtained data of the research part and also in gaining a greater insight into stalking and domestic violence issues among the general public and people interested in the given issue.

In the first part of the thesis - literary research - the theoretical background of the issue is processed. The second part - own work - already deals with the analysis. Retail unit Tesco České Budějovice was chosen for the analysis and a description of its shopping atmosphere is included in the work. The main method of analysis was an on-line questionnaire survey which was carried out among the customers of selected retail unit. Results of this survey served to confirmation or refutation of established hypothesis. A description of shopping atmosphere of one more retail unit was made for completeness of analysis. This description served for the purpose of comparison. On the basis of the data obtained was found that the elements of the shopping atmosphere of selected retail unit are used quite abruptly, and to a limited extent, in accordance with the strategy of focusing on low-priced on the market. Customers (with some exceptions) did not express dissatisfaction with such performing of shopping atmosphere, which suggests that customers who are shopping in this retail unit are focused more on the practical aspects of the purchase, such as low price or breadth of assortment. Four improvements for problematic areas were proposed in the work to increase the efficiency and attractiveness of the store. In theoretical part is described the origin and dividing of Romani people and their historical connection in their progress in our country. There have been mentioned current problems concerning the Romani minority, as for example social exclusion, discrimination, etc. Other chapters refer to Romani culture, family and upbringing. The most substantial part of the thesis focuses on education and is lead in this direction. We also stated the current level of education among the Romani ethnicity. In the empirical part presents records of the research focused on education of Romani ethnicity in the secondary-studies area. Research was processed in the secondary analyses data system and the quantitative evaluation of questionnaire. The main aim of the thesis was to find out what kind of secondary schools pupils of Romani ethnicity prefer, whether they completed the education or finish it untimely. Whether pupils and students from the social disadvantaged background get help from assistant pedagogues for children during their studies. Furthermore we investigated if Romani students of grammar schools take advantage of grant from the state to study. The most preferred types of grammar schools among Romani were vocational schools. Only small amount of respondents chose vocational schools with the enclosure of finished leaving examination. Through that result had to be proved or disapproved the formulated hypothesis: Romani minority completes the secondary schools education. This hypothesise was disproved, as most of the Romani pupils did not complete their secondary school education. The thesis points out the factors which influence the Romani ethnicity attitude towards the education and the process of studying. Records of the thesis are beneficial for practice as the schools which were engaged in this research continue in cooperation with us. As a feedback we provided the records of this research to schools as they may use the information for better orientation what students expect from the education , how to approach it or the choice of study they prefer. At the same time the records of the research may be used as an informative and educational material for public and specialists.
