Arithmetics and algebra in hobby mathematics for primary pupils

The main content of the thesis is the analysis of elective mathematics lessons including examples of the tasks. This work could be useful mainly to teachers of primary elective mathematics. It is divided into two parts. The first one deals with the main theory. The second part is based on the analysis of particular lessons and tasks. The work also contains a set of tasks suitable for primary pupils.

The aim of this thesis is worksheets creation that can support the mathematics education at the primary school. These documents are focused on the thematic complex of function. Worksheets should find the use of mathematics education at primary school {--} at separate education and especially at subsequent practise. Necessary tool to their application is mathematical program Derive, in which all worksheets are created. Endeavour of this work is achieving higher effectiveness of mathematics education and its approach to the pupils of primary school.

Mathematical preparation of pupils in primary school to secondary school

The theoretical part of this Diploma Thesis covers the subject matter of the 5th grade primary level pupils. This subject matter is further on divided into several chapters with some standard exercises included. The practical part contains an exercise book which is addressed to 5th grade primary level pupils. This part basically shows some mathematical exercises to which are pupils exposed when sitting for an entrance exam at grammar school. As for the next part of this Diploma Thesis there is the research which deals with testing some of those mathematical exercises in practice.

V práci je zkoumán, testován a hodnocen matematický program Maxima. Je zde obsaženo základní srovnání programu s nejznámějším matematickým softwarem. Dále je zde podrobný popis vlastního programu Maxima,jeho jednotlivých aspektů a charakteristik. V neposlední řadě práce obsahuje podrobný popis jednotlivých funkcí programu Maxima, v rámci srovnávání se současně používaným softwarem Derive, včetně praktických ukázek.
