The thesis entitled "Barter (selected problems)" introduces barter clubs/LETS as an alternative economy. The thesis describes historical development of barter clubs/LETS, theoretically analyzes the barter clubs/LETS as full-fledged payment systems standing on an equal footing as any other form of market organization. Project of the thesis also includes results of a survey which approached individuals as well as legal entities operating in the Czech Republic.

Can the Economics Explore the Animal Behavior?

The purpose of this work is to answer the basic question, if the economics can explore the animal behaviour. At first the determination of the subject of economics is needed. It means to point out, what should economics deal with. I will come to the point of the problem of purposeful action, the problem of rationality and exchange. Consequently I will explore, if it is possible to apply this theory to animal behaviour and if such an application has a sense. I will advert to the problems, what are made by the economists in their opinions of the animal behaviour and on argumentation why the animal behaviour is not a subject of economics.

Kursové rozdíly a úspory finančních nákladů realizované na devizových trzích

Tato práce má nastínit způsob přepočtu jak běžných tak i exotických měn a zdroje, kde lze takové informace získat. V dalších částech práce lze získat i informace, jaké kurzy lze využít při oceňování majetku a závazků. Jedna z kapitol je také věnována vnitropodnikové směrnici, která by měla účetním poskytovat jistotu při účtování jednotlivých účetních případů s kursovými rozdíly. Dále se také stručně dočtete o mezinárodní úpravě účtování kursových rozdílů. Závěr práce je věnován institucím finančního trhu, které poskytují služby v oblasti směny deviz, devizových inkas a úhrad a finančního poradenství nejen pro velké, ale i střední a malé společnosti. Jsou zde shrnuty výhody a nevýhody včetně uvedení konkrétního případu se spočtenou úsporou finančních nákladů.

Comparison of Alternative Exchange Rate Regimes

The aim of this bachelors' thesis is to describe and compare alternative exchange rate regimes. Firstly, the problem of classification of exchange rate regimes is analyzed, followed by the description of main phases of evolution of the international monetary system and the comparison of those phases by using the concept of "impossible trinity". Moreover, the description and analysis of alternative exchange rate regimes is provided and also the validity of "bipolar view" is scrutinized, also by describing some concrete examples of economies operating under specific exchange rate regimes.
