Impact of Renewable Energy Source Introduction on Energy System in the Czech Republic

This thesis analyse the impact of the renewable energy resources on the transmission and distribution networks in the Czech republic. The volatility changes based on the growth of the number of production places of this kind and other negative effects are being examined. The analysis has proved difficulties in transmission networks balance management and then problems with voltage quality supply by distribution companies. The international cooperation between transmission operators is also being analysed. This thesis proves that renewable resources and their implementation have significant economic impact not only within the meaning of higher production costs.
How to motivate primary school children to think and act in an environmental way

The contents of the Thesis feature a survey of contemporary international attitude to environmental development and its effect on the educational trends in the Czech republic. Also, the short-term eco-educational project intended for primary school children is included here in the Thesis. The aim of the project is to arouse environmental awareness of children and excite their interest in this matter, which is considered to be the first essential step towards the sustainable development.
The Internal Electricity Market in the European Union

The thesis deals with the process of creating the internal electricity market in the European Union. The first part focuses on the development of EU energy policy and on the influence of legislative and institutional framework on the creation of the internal electricity market. The second part describes the specifics of electricity and the process of liberalization. It also deals with the interconnection of energy networks. The third part of the thesis is devoted to electricity markets and their regulation. The fourth section examines the development of electricity prices in European countries. Analysis of price convergence shows the current state of creating the single internal market in electricity.

The electrical energy is a highly valued commodity with worldwide strategic importance. Its importance and price have been rising constantly. It comes from various resources and its main drawback is its difficult storability. The energy market, where production, distribution and sale of electrical energy take place, is therefore ruled by specific legal framework and EU directives.
