Environmental load during production a processing of food wheat and production of bread
HYŠPLER, Robin
This thesis was made in co-operation with international project M00080- EUS-AT-SUKI Sustainable Kitchen, which is focused to make an inquiry of total emissions of carbon dioxide producted by catering estabilishments and finds possibilities of reducing these emissions. The thesis deals with an emission?s contamination of wheat flour and bread. Informations and data about agriculture, processing and transport of chosen commodities were collected from questionaires and scientific literature. The emission?s contamination of equivalent CO2 per kilogram of particular products and commodities was worked out from data and informations of the Ecoinvent database. The comparision between systems of management and regionality (ie. whether products are imported or local) is included. The main aim of this thesis was to prove whether the consumation of products from organic or conventional farming is environmentally more beneficial, the same comparision were made between regional or imported products

Energy intensity process to save grass silage volume bags
ONDRÁČEK, Vojtěch
The aim of this work was to measure and evaluate the energy intensity of grass silage during storage in bulk bags. The values were measured on a line consisting of tractor and ma-chinery for storing forage. Further information was obtained from the service line. The results were over-straightened with technical and technological norms for agricultural production and other ways of storing silage.

Organic food - land and sale potential of montane and submontane region (Southbohemian region)
HORSKÁ, Alena
This dissertation is focused on analysing the potencial in production and distribution of chosen biocommodity in the less favoured areas of South Bohemian region. As the alternate aim was determined ecological rural tourism and its perspective as one of the possible ways of developing less favoured areas. The work highlights the distinctions of organic agriculture and its principles, shows organic activities as a way of possible developmnet of montane and submontane areas and detects potencial of growth of this branch for the future.

Use of the EAFRD in the development of rural areas
OSOMOVÁ, Anděla
The master thesis deals with a question of rural development funding in the Czech Republic. It acquaints the reader with Regional Policy and Structural Funds of the European Union and with the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) It also describes area grants and forms of subsidy granted from the EAFRD in the 2007 ? 2013 programming period. There is also a description of conditions for obtaining subsidies within the framework of the Rural Development Programme in the rural areas of the Czech Republic. The aim of this study is to evaluate utilization of the EAFRD in a selected locality. The main research area is the village of Plav, which is defined and shortly described in the text. In case of this village the SWOT analysis was carried out as well as evaluated. The written materials from the Plav´s municipal office and the transcript of a tape-recorded semi-structured interview with a representative of Plav were used for evaluation of the EAFRD utilization. Another part of the study is focused on comparison of the use of the EAFRD with other subsidy instruments for funding of the development in a selected locality. At the end of the study there are evaluations of expected benefits in particular rural regions and proposed projects being potentially successful for obtaining subsidies.

The analysis of foreign trade with wood from selected biomes of the Earth
Zatloukal, Marek
The object of this diploma thesis is evaluation trends of chosen countries between the years 1990 -- 2010 in division of production, import and export. The next part is description of the year 2010, determination of the main producers, importers, exporters and most significant flows of the industrial roundwoood between countries, regions and continents. The following point is taken into consider other factors like a forest area and population of individual country. These factors strongly influence production, import and export of each country. There were also mentioned the significant benefits and problems of Czech Republic, because of production, import, export and geographical position. Each of the result was presented by graphs and thematic maps. The diploma thesis is based on the statistical information from databases of Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). These information were evaluated by FAO and estimated like official data about selected countries.

Dotace pro zemědělství v Evpropské unii a České republice
Nečas, Igor
The bachelor thesis: "Subsidies for agriculture in the European Union and in the Czech Republic", is focused, in its parts, on historical development of the Common agricultural policy, on the ways how the concrete subsidies aimed on agrarian sector were formed to reach food self- sufficiency for Europe after world wars. For better understanding there is also defined agricultural branch and market where are the subjects of primary production which have a legal claim on supports in form of subsidies. These subsides are implemented on area of a member state - Czech Republic and are interpreted in period before the connecting the Czech Republic to the European Union, after the connecting to E. U. and specifically in every planning periods. As a supplementary can be marked information about administrative organs which arrange subsidies titles and payout the financial support keeping the rules of cross compliance standards.

Analýza spotřeby biopotravin v ČR
Zigmundová, Veronika
The bachelor thesis defines organic agriculture, including its products and outlines its current status in the Czech Republic and in the world. This work is focused on the organic food consumption analysys, which follows. The current situation of the global and domestic organic food market are stated, further individual continents and countries are compared from the point of view of the consumption level and the position of organic food at the market. The distribution channels for selling organic food are briefly described as well. The work itself includes proposals for marketing events which could contribute to bigger consumer's call for organic food and thus to higher sales volume. The effectiveness of the proposed events was verified by a questionnaire survey and its results were evaluated.

Analýza ekologického zemědělství v Jihomoravském kraji
Balíková, Petra

Klimatické změny a výzvy rozvojových zemí s cílem směřujícím na Sahel
Nohelová, Kateřina
The aim of the thesis is to analyze the development of climate change in the Sahel belt of Sub-Saharan Africa. The thesis is focused on West Africa including Mali, Niger, Mauritania, Senegal and Chad. The challenge is to use two composite indicators, which will then be evaluated in table and graphical form in the five-year period that also typify the economic and environmental situation in the region. It will also study the effect of climate change on agricultural land, its transformation and yield in terms of food security. The results obtained from the theoretical and analytical part will identify possible suggestions and recommendations for better measures to reduce the impact of climate change on selected countries of the Sahel.

Applying System Dynamics and Agent-based Modelling in Archaeological Simulation
Olševičová, K. ; Danielisová, Alžběta
We apply the social simulation to the cultural milieu of the late Iron Age in Central Europe and its economic strategies, especially on the subsistence and the carrying capacity of the settlement agglomeration in relation to the daily economic needs of its inhabitants. By means of the computational models of the economics of the particular central settlement (Staré Hradisko oppidum) and its hinterland we aim to verify hypotheses about the economic sustainability in case self-supplying is applied. To achieve this, the agent-based modelling, cellular automata approach and system dynamics modelling are used. In the paper we present four alternative scenarios of population dynamics (baseline and three versions of depopulation) and four alternative scenarios of food production and agricultural practices (baseline and three types of external events). The set of models for all scenarios was implemented in NetLogo and Stella. Outputs of the models are subject of interests of archaeologists and according to their feedback the models will be refined and extended.
