Small tanks in the cultural landscape

This bachelor thesis is mainly focused on preliminary design of a pond and it is divided into theoretical and practical part. The teoretical part is divided into three main chapters. First chapter deals with water, which is an important aspect of the life on the Earth, and its realationship to a landscape. The second chapter examines small water reservoirs, their functions, technical solutions and reconstruction of existing water reservoirs. The last theoretical part concetrates on ponds in Czech Republic and history of fish farming. The practical part includes preliminary design of the pond in Zbýšov in the district Brno-venkov, its hydrotechnical analysis and calculations, engineering report and photographs of the location.
The historical development of landscape in South Bohemia

This bachelor thesis describes the historical development of landscape at times of Lords of Hradec, Lords of Rožmberk, Schwarzenberg sand at times of Hussitism. The thesis also deals with the development of pond culture, the description of landscape after Thirty Years´ War, The Second World War and after the year 1989. There are depicted the changes of the landscape in each time period. The main attention is paid to the changes of forests, water management and agriculture. The most important changes of landscape are associated with the time of wars, when the landscape was devastated. The image of landscape is also influenced by human settlement, the forests are often cut down, the plough land is dissolved etc. because of the growing built-up area.
Organic farming carp and its perspectives in the Czech Republic

The aim of the bachelor thesis was to evaluate the perspectives for organic carp production in Czech fish farming industry and its applicability on the fish market, taking into account all the negatives and positives of such production. The thesis was focused on the evaluation of the questionnaire campaign and expert opinion of Czech and Austrian fish farming industry representatives Based on the survey attended by representatives from a range of sectors from both above mentioned countries, following conclusions can be drawn: Economic aspects of the most significant impact on the introduction of organic carp farming:Economy of production the final price for the consumer.The buying power of the population a sufficient number of regular customers. Marketing of the organic fish awareness of organic products.Uncertain return on investment longterm effects and uncertain efficiency of the farming process.Operational Programme of Fisheries for the years 2014 2020 the possibility of successful utilization of EU subsidies.Farming technological aspects of highest impact upon organic farming:Possibility of the devaluation of existing product commonly produced carp in the Czech Republic. Availability and reliability of certified suppliers cereals. Difficulty of organic farming the quality of incoming commodities including water quality. The certification process of organic farming satisfactory meeting of all demands.Current state of the fish market in the Czech Republic (low consumption of freshwater fish).According to the established facts, organic carp farming and its production in the Czech Republic are currently of low and inadequate actuality, especially in relation to the buying power of consumers and comparatively low public awareness of organic products.
HISTORICAL PROFILE OF FISH FARMING IN THE MIDDLE ELBE REGION

The bachelor thesis deals with the historical development of the great past of fish farming in the Middle Elbe region, also to highlight this region and remind its important unique ponds and water building. It is mapped continued development in the Middle Elbe region, to be more specifically the territory former chamber estate Poděbrady, domains: Chlumec, Dymokury, Lysá and royal estate Nymburk. It is written down the rise of fish farming and also subsequent decline with considering to the current statement. The information was analyzed and on the representative examples were shown comparison of the original and existing ponds and their hectare area within the monitored area.
Historical treatment of land in Jihočeském kraji

The work describes the historical treatment of land in the South Region for the period: Rosenberg; Buquoys, Eggenberg and Schwarzenberg; after World War I.; after World War II.; after 1989. This work describes the changing of landscape in different seasons and informs about the most important adjustments, particularly in the fields of: fishing, forestry, water management and agriculture. There are elaborated landscaping history records from the beginning of the registration to the present. The work contains a treatise on colonization reforms, land consolidation, modern and contemporary land consolidation in the area of interest.
The historical evolution of the landscape of South Bohemia

The topic of this thesis is The historical evolution of the landscape of South Bohemia. The objective of the study was to describe the landscape since Witigonen to events in the year 1989. In the beginning is landscape characterized during Witigonen age and especially colonization and development of the monasteries and city of Ceske Budejovice. Further the thesis has moved to the Rosenberg age, when the most important point has become building fishponds. During Eggenberg and Buquoy time the glassmaking increase and national nature reserve Zofin forest was founded. A great contribution was during the government of Schwarzenberg. Representatives of the family brought a great contribution to the agriculture but the biggest benefit was the drainage pipe system, the very first in the Bohemia. The landscape after the Second World War was in name of colonization. The main intervention was building the Vltava cascade. After the 1989 the agriculture is decreasing and on the other hand the agglomerations are growing bigger. The Natural Park Sumava was established.
The use of historical water management measures in the draft plan of common facilities

This bachelor thesis deals with the history of ponds in southern Bohemia. Mainly with the Trebon ponds system. It describes the origins of these constructions and subsequently their declines during centuries in details. The first part of the thesis outlines the impetuses to the creation of the Czech ponds and the stages of the evolution including the golden age. It presents the profession of fish farmers who used to use measuring devices. The second part deals with the biographies of the three most famous architects and their projects. The main topic of the final part is the decline of fish farming after the thirty years long war. The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to describe the evolution of ponds in the south Bohemian region, to draw the historical events which led to the change of the closed marshy landscape to the landscape with the large bodies of water which has partly survived.
