Dosimetric determination of radiation exposure of patients and personnel during diagnostic and interventional endovascular procedures at the DSA department of UVN, recovery plan for a potential extraordinary event
KRAHULA, Ondřej
Intervention radiology is a discipline that is achieving a great advancement due to its significant success in the treatment of various diseases. Also, it relates to the increase of the number of angiographic performances in the last years. The extension of radiological methods has increased the share of this discipline on the overall medical irradiation of the population. All angiographic performances are accompanied by certain risk related to the exposure of the patient and staff to the ionizing radiation. Several cases were reported where the surface doses were reaching the limits of deterministic effects of radiation in some types of examination. This study monitors three core criteria related to the radiation burden in the set of 141 patients, which have undertaken different endovascular interventions. These criteria are: the dose area product (DAP), surface dose, and effective dosage. The relevant criterion was the value of DAP, read from the DAP meter directly during the examination. Other data were calculated. On basis of these results, this study tries to determine the strenuousness of singular examinations from the point of the radiation burden. It is the understanding the principles of the influencing the patient{\crq}s burden of the radiation in angiographic examinations, what can help in reducing the dosages. The analysis of this study results can help to prevent the occurrence of abnormal events during the examination.

MOJCHEROVÁ, Andrea
The Bachelor paper aims to explore the issues of injuries affecting the area of ankle joint and foot. The paper is structured into several chapters, mutually related. The first describes the anatomy and kinesiology of the joint and foot, and the next one deals with injuries experienced in this area. Listed in the introductory chapters are the most frequent injuries to the joint and foot; included are their concise characteristics; and depicted the options of therapy. Then comes a chapter on comprehensive medical rehabilitation. The theoretical section of the paper terminates with a chapter on prevention, where the author concentrated on the use of taping, orthoses, bandages and braces helping to keep the ankle joint and foot properly fixed. The practical section of the paper relies on the method of qualitative research and the techniques of semi-standardized interview, observation (kinesiology examination), on processing the case studies and treating the data to secondary analyses. The set to be tested comprised four patients of different ages sustaining injuries to their ankle joints. Results achieved through the therapy are presented in the form of case studies. Each study addresses a short-time program of rehabilitation and describes the manner in which the program was applied in therapy. Thus the objective was met of preparing and implementing a physiotherapeutic program devised to restore the leg to its previous working order.

MIDWIFE´S ROLE IN EDUCATION OF WOMEN WITH PELVIC INFLAMMATORY DISEASE Nowadays, the number of women who have underestimated the symptoms of pelvic inflammatory disease and who have been coping with its consequences such as chronic pain or infertility is increasing. Therefore the following topic was selected for the bachelor thesis: "Midwife´s Role in Education of Women with Pelvic Inflammatory Disease". The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis deals with the educational activity provided by a midwife, basic aetiology of pelvic inflammatory disease, its treatment and nursing process for women with pelvic inflammatory disease. A quantitative research method using anonymous questionnaires was selected for the practical part of the bachelor thesis. The research was conducted in the period of 1 January - 31 March 2011 and 93 responders participated in it. Three goals were stated in the thesis and they were met. The first goal of the research was to find out whether women are informed about the symptoms, treatment and subsequent prevention of pelvic inflammatory disease. The second goal was to find out how satisfied women are with the level of education provided by a midwife in the field of pelvic inflammatory disease. The third goal was to create educational material on pelvic inflammatory disease. Further, for the purpose of the research, 3 hypotheses were stated. Hypothesis No. 1: "Women are aware of the symptoms of pelvic inflammatory disease and they pay respective attention to them," was confirmed. Hypothesis No. 2: "Women lack information on causative agents of pelvic inflammatory disease causing post-inflammatory changes such as infertility," was confirmed. Hypothesis No. 3: !Women have enough information on causes of occurrence of gynaecological inflammation, its symptoms, treatment and subsequent prevention," was not confirmed. The results of the research investigation of this thesis could be useful for midwives and their educational activity. Educational material in form of a leaflet was created for women´s needs.

Prevention of bronchogenic carcinoma
DROZDOVÁ, Lucie
Bronchogenic carcinoma has become the most common cause of death recently. There is no clearer evidence of causality as it is between smoking and bronchogenic carcinoma. The teoretical part of my work offers an overview of bronchogenic carcinoma. Special attention is paid to highlighting all preventive measures which, if they are applied, can help decrease the number of diseases and improve treatment results. The practical part has been processed on the base of an anonymous questionnnaire, one of the quantitative research methods. The questionnaires were responded by the clients of the Departments of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases and Dermatology at Pilsen hospital. The results of this part can be used for completing and clarifying educational materials which relate to this problem. The outputs of the work reflect the lack of information about bronchogenic carcinoma prevention. So the measures should be focused on intersive publicity of the prevention.
Problematics of factors influencing juvenile delinquency
NYKLESOVÁ, Eva
The degree paper deals with the issues of juvenile delinquency and the factors which have impact on the origination of the juvenile delinquency. I have chosen this topic since it is a very serious problem and this phenomenon has been proliferating significantly. The crime in general, especially the juvenile delinquency, is a serious social-pathological phenomenon. Minors who do not reach the limit of criminal liability often became the offenders. In addition, the probability of threatening a young man by social pathological phenomena and his subsequent ``criminal career{\crqq} is currently much higher than ever before. To recognize the occurrence of risk factors among the youth in time it is necessary for the families, teachers, educators and all professionals working with the juveniles to acquire sufficient knowledge, information and experience and be able to work with the factors and fight against them in time. The theoretical part deals with the definition of the term ``youth{\crqq}, the personality of a young delinquent, structure of the juvenile delinquency, analyses of the risk factors which most frequently participate in the occurrence of juvenile delinquency, and outlines the possibilities of intervention against the juvenile delinquency and various kinds of prevention. The research is focused on the occurrence of risk factors among the young respondents and on protective factors and attitudes of the respondents in respect of the juvenile delinquency and the crime at all. Structured interviews were held with the youth which are placed in the reformatory or special correctional institutions in the territory of the Regional of Plzeň. The main objective of the degree paper is to describe the factors which significantly affect the occurrence of the juvenile delinquency and to map the occurrence and impact of such factors on the juveniles placed in the correctional and reformatory social retraining institutions in the Region of Plzeň. Hypothesis No. 1 is: The youth commit property crimes at the most. Hypothesis No. 2: The youth behave improperly namely when in groups. Hypothesis No. 3: The decisive factor affecting the juvenile delinquency is the family. I think that the objectives of the degree paper were fulfilled. Hypothesis No. 1 was confirmed. The respondents mostly stated that they were adjudicated treatment in special reformatory institution due to property crimes. Hypothesis No. 2 was also confirmed. The replies of the respondents mostly contained the possibility that they committed crime within a gang. Hypothesis No. 3 was confirmed, too: Analyses of the research proves that all factors participating in the occurrence of the juvenile delinquency are penetrated with the impact of the family and family environment on the juveniles. Results of the performed research will be used for further education of the students at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, as well as for the students of other auxiliary professions at other universities. The results will be further used as the source of information for parents and pedagogical professionals working with the youth and as source materials for seminars about the given topic.
