Financial coverage of the people's needs in old age

Thesis deals with two main options, which are in the Czech Republic most commonly used for financial security in old age. First, it is a state old-age pension, which is due to its significance in the Czech pension system in the thesis given the most attention. The other source is additional pension insurance with state contribution, which is most suitable, while a complementary product to the basic retirement pension. This bachelor thesis also briefly shows the major milestones in the development of the pension system up to year 2010 and subsequently also the prepared pension reform. The analytical part of the paper shows the impact of the forthcoming legislative changes to the amount received of old-age pensions, and how to choose on the basis of selected criteria the right pension fund.
Spatial and economic effects of the population ageing in the Czech Republic

The demographic ageing is an inevitable result of social and economic changes of recent decades. Although it fully affects the Czech Republic in the near future it is necessary to adopt proper precautions to minimize its risks and take the opportunities now. This bachelor thesis analyzes the causes and effects of the population ageing in the Czech Republic, examines the possible transformations of the pension system and public health care. It offers a range of measures to reduce the negative impacts of the population aging and points to the possibilities that arise in connection with this trend. In the second part the thesis focuses on the active ageing program and its implementation in the city of Prague. By using the questionnaire, it examines the supply and demand of activities for seniors. On the basis of obtained dates are built characteristics of organizers of these activities and charted their spatial distribution, legal form and economic situation.
Perception of upcoming pension reform

The pension reform of the Czech Republic in comparison with the Polish and Slovak experiences

The demografic development in the Czech Republic is mainly characterized by the negative development of the age structure of population, which increases the national expenditures on the pension system. That's why the reform is necessary. The target of this discourse is to make an analysis of the receipts and expenditures structure of the pension systems it the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland, and their comparison. There will be characterized the development, the present state of the pension system in the Czech Republic and the proposal for it's reform and also the main causes, techniques, results and relevant differences of the reforms in both others countries, Poland and Slovakia. Then will be make their review. The analysis of the pension systems of this countries will show the real results of the different performed pension reforms and their eventual inspiration for the Czech Republic. In the final part of the discourse will be make the comparison of the financial expenditures of those pension systems.
Supplementary pension insurance - preferences of policyholders

This thesis deals with the supplementary pension insurance. The theoretical part of the work introduces basic principles of supplementary pension insurance such as the significant role in the pension system. The aim of the application part is to present the current state of pension. The largest share of the practical part will be devoted to the analysis of survey conducted by the author of the thesis. The target of questionnaire is to determine the preferences of policyholders and to find connections between different answers. Statistical methods will be used to process data.
Pension Additional Insurance in the Czech Republic and in France

This thesis focuses on the pension funds in the Czech Republic and in France. The main goal is to analyze and compare the differences on these two financial markets. The first theoretical part focuses on the pension additional insurance in the Czech Republic and in France, the system of the pension funds in both countries and the view of the pension funds in the Czech Republic. The second part analyses the pension funds in the Czech Republic and in France. These pension funds are evaluated on the basis of economic criteria including their investments, their net profit and rate of profit. The pension funds in the Czech Republic are analysed by the using of calculations such as the return on average assets and return on average equity. At the end of this thesis the comparison of the pension funds in the Czech Republic and in France is placed. This chapter consists of the reform of the pension system in the Czech Republic as well as the evaluation of the pension systems in the Czech Republic and in France.
Citizens' Views on Financial Security in Retirement and Pension Reform

In November 2010 CVVM focused on the views of citizens on the pension system and pension reform. Respondents were asked whether they concern for their financial situation in retirement age, and whether the state paid pensions can secure them social welfare. There were also examined the views of citizens on different measures in the pension system, and views on the development of pension after any kind of pension reform will be done. In this press release pensioners are excluded from analysis.

Another objective is to compare eleven most developed pension systems in the world and choose an appropriate pattern for the forthcoming Czech pension reform.
