The Phenomenon of Guilt and Forgiveness from the Point of View of a Self-supporting Group of Alcoholics Anonymous in the Chosen District Town

The thesis introduces perception of guilt and sin in the Bible, in Christian tradition and in contemporary moral theology. It emphasizes that in the mentioned periods both phenomena belonged in the common talk and to the elemental moral concepts. It deals with perception of guilt (sin) and forgiveness at present and it does not omit the findings of empirical sciences. It takes into consideration the facts which led to the loss or deformation of awareness of both phenomena in the society in general. In practice it conducts the survey of the possible idea of the contemporary state of awareness of guilt and forgiveness and relates it to the specific group of Anonymous Alcoholics.
Philosophical interpretation of works of Marc Chagall

This thesis covers the interpretation of life and work of Marc Chagall, jewish painter of 20th century. Goal of the thesis is to highlight symbolic motives of his work, and later on interpret those on selected pieces. The thesis is divided into four parts. First part is devoted to the life of the painter and his jewish origin, which had a significant influence on the character of his work. Second part covers the meaning of symbols in art and religon in general. Third tries to compare Chagall's conveyance with two jewish philosophers of the dialog: E. Lévinas and F. Rosenzweig. Fourth then interprets selected pieces with philosophical or religious extent. Whole thesis is based on the conception that art is able to convey messages and interpret the world around us.
Czech atheism

The work deals with question of atheism in the Czech Republic. It offers basic orientation in the problem it defines key concepts and introduces different forms and links of atheism, as well as actual condition in the Czech Republic so everybody can freely decide if faith will have a space in their lives or not. It focuses especially on professional texts of eminent Czech authors dealing with atheism and it compares points in which the authors agree and contrariwise in which their opinions diverge. It emphasizes aspects which according to the selected authors affected the most the Czech atheism ? whether it is event historical, social or political. The starting point will be especially existing sociological researches supplemented by some theoretical conception.
Natural law as the basis of universal ethics?

The paper examines the development of natural law as a possible starting point for conceiving of ethic of a universal character. It is divided into two main parts, the first is devoted to the historical development and presentation of different conceptions of human nature, hence natural law, from the times of great philosophers such as Plato or Aristotle, up to John Finnis. The second part deals with natural law from the perspective of the International Theological Commission (ITC) in its more specific actualization and attempts some degree of comparison of this concept with the traditional concepts.
The forms of love in theological perspective

This thesis deals with four forms of love according to the Josef Zvěřina. The aim of the work is a reflection of the forms of love in a theological perspective. The text of the work gradually elaborates on each of the various forms of love. The first chapter deals with the terms that are used to express love. The second chapter describes the first took the form of love: love as God's essence. Here is the text focused on the revelation and God's Trinity. The third chapter is devoted to the second form of love: the love of God as manifestation of God toward man and all of his creation. An essential term, there is a creature, the grace of God and the person of Jesus Christ. The fourth chapter describes the third form of love: love of man to God. The main theme here is faith. The fifth chapter is the culmination of a whole treatise on four forms of love and deals with the final form of love: love, person to person, and God. This chapter reflects the faith of man and through the service of love.

The virtue of love by Thomas Aquinas

The work focuses on the virtue of love by Thomas Aquinas. It mainly deals with the principles of love in the philosophy of T. Aquinas, but also with themes that with concept of love directly related - such as the general conception of virtue, goodness, happiness or sins against love. The thesis is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter is an introduction to the work of T. Aquinas. The second chapter deals with the basic characteristic of the concept of virtue and differentiation of natural and supernatural virtues. The next chapter deals with the concept of love itself. In this chapter there are the basic definitions and differentiation types of love. Another chapter is devoted to one of the question in Summa Theologica - About love itself which is perceived like basic question of the concept virtue of love by T. Aquinas. The fifth chapter deals with sins against love, which are seens as contravene to the love. Another sixth chapter focuses on whether love can be increased or decreased. The last chapter is devoted to the love from the today perspective.
The Other Between Phenomenon and Dialogue

The thesis is concerned with the matter of intersubjectivity, traditionally called as ?a question of the other minds?. The new approach in this area was brought mainly by two philosophical movements: by phenomenology and by dialogical personalism. They both reacted to each other in this point, and their reflexions upon this matter resulted in very outstanding discoveries, with influence untill nowadays. Thesis introduces the concept of the Other in each of both mentioned traditions, simultaneously tries to grasp surprisingly similar result of philosofical analysis in different traditions, and also tries to stress the primacy of ethics in historical development of both traditions as a place of meeting of (the other) minds.

LE PRINCE SELON DIEU ET LES HOMMES Virtues of Christian prince for Adam Franz of Schwarzenberg

This work endeavours to introduce an unknown French manuscript called ?Le prince selon Dieu et les hommes prouvé par les propres paroles de l? écriture sainte et appuyé du témoignage des docteurs de l?église et des Meilleurs auteurs profanes ?? ( The Prince according to God and the people, proved by the words of Holy Scripture and supported by the testimony of church scholars and of the best secular authors). The manuscript was written in 1725 by Philibert Joseph de Roux, a French scholar at the court of margrave of Baden-Baden, and dedicated to prince Adam Franz of Schwarzenberg. The author presents a schoraly account of virtues and qualities which are, in his view, necessary for every Christian prince. The introduction of our thesis defines the topic and analyzes the state of research. In the next part, the formal characteristics of the manuscript are described. The aim of de Roux´s tract was to prove his concept of virtues and vices by examples selected from Holy Scripture, from ancient history and also modern European history as well.
