The role of sport in adult life

The bachelor thesis on The Role of Sport in Adult Life is devoted to leisure-time sports and the motivation to do it.The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part, describes concept of adulthood, leisure-time, sport and motivation. The thesis defines the various stages of adulthood, specifying the issues of leisure time. It presents different perspectives on the definition of sporting activities and deals with human motivation.A questionnaire is used for the practical part. The questionnaire accents respondents' age and identifies motives that lead respondents to active sports.

Possibilities of Physiotherapy in paraplegic athletes, floorball players

In recent decades a care of people with spinal cord lesions has changed dramatically. A current available literature points to the fact that the quality of life, whether in physical, mental or health level achieved an improvement. The physical activity for people in a chronic phase of the spinal cord injury is a key issue that contributes to maintaining an optimal health condition. Atypical movement stereotype resulting from the movement on the wheel-chair conduces to a possible overload of the body structures and subsequent health problems. These difficulties then may limit people with special needs in the movement, work as well as self-sufficiency. An aim of a theoretical part of the thesis was to identify existing knowledge on the impact of the physical activity on the state of paraplegics, on possible health problems resulting from the overloading and what physiotherapeutic methods could affect these issues. An aim of a practical part was an application of theoretical procedures into practice in a treatment of three sporting paraplegics. In the practical part there was conducted a qualitative research at three randomly selected people, floorball players. Men aged between 24 to 29 years with the paraplegia with a height of the lesion of Th8 - Th11. An observation of the patients was carried out for five weeks. Then a kinesiology analysis and three case-studies were conducted. After it a subjective opinion on the impact of sport on the musculoskeletal system and mental state was investigated by an interviewing technique with a specific question. Difficulties with a shoulder joint were identified at all three monitored individuals. Individually assembled and guided therapy led to the improvement of the shoulder girdle function at all three persons, to a an overall improvement of the sitting posture on the wheel-chair, to a treatment of the muscle imbalances and to an alleviation of the spine pain. The interview results showed that a regular sporting activity had a positive impact on the patients´ mental status. However, it negatively affected them by increasing demands on the whole musculoskeletal system.

Drugs and sport

This graduation theses occupy by the doping problem specify how the students of a sports grammar school, i.e. future professional sportsmen, are familiarized with the issue of doping, and what attitudes to doping they assume, what their experience with doping is, etc. I contect of this four hypotheses were set in. Hypothesis 1, the students of the chosen sports grammar school believe that if professional sportsmen use drugs recreationally, they use most frequently alcohol, nicotine and marijuana, in this sequence, was confirmed. Hypothesis 2, the students of the chosen sports grammar school believe that doping is most frequently present in the sports disciplines like cycling, athletics and body building, in this sequence, was not confirmed. Hypothesis 3, at least 50% of the questioned students of the chosen sports grammar school use some drug recreationally, most frequently nicotine and alcohol, was confirmed. Hypotheses 4, more than 50% of the questioned students of the chosen sports grammar school, have never used any drug as sports doping, was confirmed. So it can be concluded that the information of potential top sportsmen is at a good level.

Influence of the level body fitness adolescents on the quality of healthy life style

Abstract: This thesis shows results of a bodily fitness together with a survey of a life style quality at adolescents. The aim of this thesis was found out if the life style quality has got affect on the bodily fitness level. The main aim of the adolescent is looking identity. The positive attitude to the physical exertion and sport is important part of the life style healthy and together with nourishment, relaxation and regeneration is participating on a creation of a right feeding attitude. At the same time is forming personalities which con-tribute to the active creation of their fitness. The thesis has got two parts. The first, theoretical, part characterising stage of the adolescent and define bodily fitness, healthy and life style quality. The second, practice, part assess testing results of the bodily fitness and compile questionnaire of the adolescents life style quality protect.

Formation of Specialized Setting-up Exercises for Sports Gymnastics and Their Practical Verification

The aim of this thesis was to develop and verify specialized training exercises for sports gymnastics. Currently the gym struggling with outdated methods were therefore designed new procedures and the use of foreign experience. The result is a short training exercises in short reports, using modern methods of training, that will be fun for gymnasts and coach training to facilitate the use of time. These exercises require only minimum space and equipment. For training and monitoring was selected group of girls aged 8 to 14 years. Training exercises in short reports have been verified in practice and was evaluated using a questionnaire and observation. Based on the results was suggested recommendations for practice.
