Analysis of the supersonic flow of gas in the differentially pumped chamber EREM
Matloch, Roman ; Vyroubal, Petr (referee) ; Maxa, Jiří (advisor)
This work describes briefly electron microscopy issue and physical model of fluid flow. Then presented diploma thesis will be describing analysis and evaluation of the impact of supersonic flow on the pressure and density in the path of the primary electron beam in the differential pumping chamber. For analysis, evaluation and examination of the issue will be used CAD and CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) programs. At the same time it will be developed a methodology of calculation applicable to supersonic flow in the low pressure system at ANSYS CFX.

Notes to Aerodynamic Testing of Supersonic Blade Cascades
Šimurda, David ; Luxa, Martin ; Šafařík, Pavel
Relatively narrow space for aerodynamic design of long rotor blades applied at last stages of large output steam turbines often results in blades with tips operating at supersonic regimes. This brings number of problems. Main of these are additional sources of loss and rather thin border between sections operating under turbine and compressor regimes one adding to performance and the other deteriorating it. Therefore, aerodynamic cascade data on turbine blading for a range of supersonic inlet and outlet conditions are needed. However, ensuring specified supersonic conditions in a high-speed wind tunnel for blade cascade tests is not an easy task and thus it deserves attention.

Experimentální aerodynamický výzkum jako podpora při návrhu turbostrojů
Šafařík, Pavel ; Luxa, Martin ; Šimurda, David
The paper describes a role of experimental aerodynamic research oriented to the support of the design and computauion of turbomachines. The research techniques are briefly introduced. They are namely optical measurements of flow fields and pneumatic measurements by means of traversing. Results of the high-speed aerodynamic modelling of the flow past a blade cascade cascade representing a section in the balding of the last stage of a large output steam turbine are presented.
