	Fire control equipment and its emergency use with a view to the safety of escaping people VÍTOVÁ, Eliška The bachelor thesis entitled "Fire control equipment and its emergency use with a view to the safety of escaping people" is aimed at providing public information on the basic kinds of fire control equipment and their use. The thesis stresses the fact that the availability of fire control security equipment in the households is rather poor considering its main aim is the protection of the owners´ health and assets. The results were obtained with the use of questionnaires supplied to the public and by the survey of statistical data received from particular fire brigades including the numbers of deaths in household fires. Installing the basic kinds of fire control equipment which I mentioned in my thesis can considerably improve the chances of survival as well as decrease related health risks and damage to property.
